Sehr schön und stilvoll eingerichtetes B&B im Ortskern von Sancerre. Wir hatten ein großes, komfortables Zimmer, das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Die Gastgeberin empfing uns sehr freundlich. Als Willkommensgruß gab es ein Glas Sancerre. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Fabulous location in the centre of Sancerre. The property is beautifully decorated throughout having undergone a recent extensive renovation.

Nothing! Only suggestion would be to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Although you can make your own downstairs, for that first cup of the day being able to make it in your room is preferable.

The B&B is beautifully decorated and the room we had was spacious and filled with light. Each room also has air conditioning which can be useful on hot days. Ophélie, the host, is super welcoming and kind. She offered great restaurant recommendations and was very helpful. Location wise, you couldn’t do better.

We loved this gorgeous BnB in the centre of the beautiful Sancerre. Walkable to everything including nearby wineries in Chavignol. Our host was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. This lovely old house has been beautifully modernised into a very comfortable BnB, spacious rooms and bathroom. We hope to stay again.

This property is newly refurbished and immaculately run by the owner. She provides an excellent breakfast.

A stunning renovated old home right on the main plaza of historic Sancerre. It was the most beautiful, comfortable BnB I've ever stayed at and Ophélie was a warm and adorable host who gave us great recommendations in the area. It was well decorated and cozy. The design was so beautiful I took pictures for future inspiration in my own home - what makes it even more special is that it is the home of Ophélie's grandmother, which has now been converted into a beautiful hotel. My mother and I enjoyed playing checkers in the living room on the comfy couches while drinking a glass of Sancerre :) Best breakfast too!

Lovely home in a great location which is beautifully decorated. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by the lovely owner. Spotlessly clean. Our bed was exceptionally comfortable. Great continental breakfast spread read with the best croissants we’ve ever had too.

This B&B is a must stay if you are traveling to Sancerre! The location is in the heart of the town with bars, restaurants and parking easily accessible. The entire place is designed immaculately with both design and comfort taken into consideration. The lovely couple that run it are full of knowledge about the area and helped us find the best places to go to. The breakfast was delicious and very generous (I believe both of my friends has four coffees each). The room was spacious and fit three people no problem with comfortable beds. I will absolutely stay here again :)

Ophélie and Juan, the proprietors, are fantastic hosts: friendly, helpful, fun to visit with, and interesting in their discussions of Sancerre and its surroundings and their complete restoration of Ophelie's grand-father's house located in the beautiful place in the center of Sancerre. Their 2-year restoration was completed with every attention to detail and comfort for their guests. The house is gorgeous and immaculate in its cleanliness and is quiet and calm. Our bedroom on the first floor was very comfortable with an excellent king-size (180 cm) bed with 2 large windows looking out onto the square. Juan, from Barcelona, is fluent in Spanish and English; Ophelie, a native of a small village near Sancerre, speaks French and very good English. Consistent with the top quality of the premises was the wonderful breakfast we were served: delicious freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolat, and baguette; granola, yogurt, chèvre, jambon cru, and home made jam. Excellent coffee. Bottom line: If you are planning a visit to Sancerre, book a stay at La Place B&B. You will be very happy that you did.

The room and facilities were really clean and very stylish. There was an amazing old wine cellar where we ate breakfast. The host was very friendly and helpful and put up with our bad attempts at French. Would definitely go back!!
