Hotel Restaurants have great view and food quality was good

The bed was confortable, the staff is excellent.

The rooms are poorly designed. When you come in the first thing you encounter is the bathroom with the bathtub almost in the middle of the room. The shower floor is very slippery and dangerous. There is no bar to hold onto. I don’t believe this hotel has five stars. We moved to another hotel and we have a suite for less price than the one regular room. we had at the JW MARRIOTT. We have traveled quite a bit and never encountered something so bad.

Easy access to the airport. Location was reasonable for other activities.

Fit-and-finish of the room was very poor, and the opulence of the lobby areas stood in sharp contrast to the tired drabness of the guest room (king ocean/balcony). While the room was not cramped, the bathroom was open to the sleeping space; sinks along one wall, toilet and shower in glass enclosed boxes, and the doors did not shut well, so there was no privacy (and the shower was adjacent to the room door, so you would be on display should someone enter/leave the room while you were in it.)

cleanliness and staff outstanding

Had to pay a cover to the roof top on friday and Wednesday there was no admission due to private activity. Hotel guests should have a special rate an d make it clear it is a independent venure

The infinity pools were amazing, and the cocktails by the pool as well.

When there is Sunday brunch in the main restaurant (primarily of meat) I could not find anything to eat there as a vegetarian. Clearly paying the full price did not make sense for a vegetarian. Though they were nice to give me just a salad but there was no warm lunch opportunity that sunday.

Breakfast excelente, I like the fact You can get breakfast until 11.30.

The hotel didn’t back the deposit money back!!!! They charged me 200$ extra from my card at arrival as a deposit of stay which should be back after check out.. on the day of check out the reception guy told me my deposit will be release in 3-5 days but it’s been more then 2 weeks already from my check out date and money still wasn’t back to my card… the hotel didn’t solved this problem

Most of the employees are great ,the restaurants are great the businesses in the lobby are Friendly & convenient.Very friendly Tourists and Residents. It’s a nice Pools area

Incidents that happened on a few visits ,a Emerald Earing Given to me by my late father Was Taken off the Nightstand,When I went to breakbeat , when the Desk was told the women said you would get back to me Never did Stopped into Ask again was just told we didn’t have a chance to inquire yet After coming then 3 times , The vale was about $400 - $500 dollars, but the memory & Sentiment was invaluable Expresso machine not working,6 hours later after calling , had to go to desk ,Then to find out they didn’t Replace the coffee Mack only cleaned up the mess ,SERVICE INTHE POOL AREA IS NON EXISTENT 1time me & my friend that always Tip a minimum of 25% Didn’t get ask to get served a Drink or food for 4 Days Staight HOW DOES THE 13 th floor make MONEY

The location was central to city for tours, Old Town , restaurants etc while maintaining a more quiet atmosphere. The actual hotel was great with 2 beautiful infinity pool areas overlooking the Pacific Ocean . The pool chairs and cabana areas were very comfortable and clean. There wasn’t a time when we couldn’t get chairs. The pool staff was helpful and friendly. We had 3 lunches pool side , being served delicious hot sandwich wraps with hot fresh fries and very reasonable pricing. The Marriott affords lovely outdoor gathering areas to enjoy the beautiful evenings. The room was spacious with a king bed… very comfortable with crisp linens. robes and slippers provided Some rooms have a tub also. it is a bit unusual but the bathroom and shower are free standing glass enclosed spaces without being a separate room. This configuration still offered privacy. The room was clean and a turn down service was available each night . The large balcony was a real decision maker for us. The ocean views and breeze were wonderful. our booking included the breakfast buffet. The food selection and service was excellent. We decided to eat our evening meal 4 times because the service, quality of the food and the outdoor area was so peaceful and comfortable. I specifically must say a special thank you to the service team of Yariela, Nata, Fernando , Evencio and Clemencio. They and their peers made our dining experience so special that our consideration to return to the JW Marriott is because of these friendly, helpful hardworking people …keep in mind the Ocean Casino is directly next door for extra fun and gambling. The common area carpet and room furniture could have a refresh but the food , staff, location , service , balconies and outdoor pool and spa services make this a Best Choice hotel

The upside, the pool had an amazing view! The rooms were big with lots of amenities, free coffee in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The pool and the hotel (hallways) were a little run down. It was not obvious where to get towels and there were about 10 people patrolling the pool area making you feel like you should not be there. There was not a true lobby to hang out in, a confusing layout.

The facilities are beautiful and well maintained.

The room was not the one I paid for so I feel deceived and it was dirty. Also, the staff was aloof.

Room was dirty. Stains on the sheets, hair in the shower and on the furniture, stains all over the couch, bathtub dirty on the bottom. Had my room switched and this was the case for both rooms. For a 5 star hotel I was expecting everything to be spotless.

The hotel feels luxurious and the personnel is really attentive to all requests. The pool areas are really nice. good for a one day stopover. the location is excellent.

The price bracket is a bit stiff for what’s included a free breakfast would have been appreciated rather than paying 24$ per person for it. Also the pool areas are always shaded so barely any sunny moments and a lot of wind.

The staff were very attentive. The infinity pool is a nice place to relax if it’s not too busy.

My room didn’t have a bath tub as described and was very basic. For the money I wish I’d stayed elsewhere.
