Very comfortable place to stay, even our pet Max learned to swim in the Lake, we cooked on the grill and also enjoyed dining out very nearby, great swimming, caught some nice fish, and plenty of time to relax on the deck !

Our overall experience was wonderful. The cookies and bottle of wine was a nice welcome touch.
Shona was very pleasant and extremely helpful with suggestions for breakfest and dinner options. The listing was everything it said. The view was absolutely beautiful. It was chilly for this time of year but the rental was cozy warm. We will definitely be back. Thank you!!!

Very cute place right on the lake and the owner lives directly next door and is the sweetest, she even left us cookie son the counter :)

We had to provide our own sheets. One of the breakers would constantly go if we tried to use the air conditioner. Only lighting in bedrooms was a lamp and one of the bulb was out. We ask for a new one but never got one. No lighting in kitchen. Told we could use any of three decks but ours was the only one available to us. Also our deck had a lot of briar bushes. Just felt we didn’t belong there. Would not stay there again.

Wonderful location and hosts

Owner was very nice, leaving wine and cookies for our arrival and recommending local restaurants and wineries. Overall home was very nice. My only suggestions are 1) to replace old very uncomfortable mattress(s) and noisy frame. 2) have yard maintenance being done between check-ins. Heavy weed maintenance with power equipment was done on hill off of deck chased us inside off deck the first morning, second morning was awakened early to mowing outside bedroom windows. We were checking out at 11am. Should have been done after check out.

Hosts were quick to respond and easy to deal with. They left us a welcome of wine and cookies. The views from the deck are spectacular. Location is great.

We initially booked to take our teen boys and grandson over memorial weekend but had to change at the last minute due to a family emergency and the host Shona, was so gracious. As it was booked all summer, we changed to Indigenous People's weekend, but our boys had commitments so we asked adult family members for a winery weekend instead and changed from 4 nts to 3. Shona promptly refunded the one night. The home was clean and well maintained. The patio facing the lake was wonderful. Plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage. It was too cold to Kayak, but perhaps next visit! Shona was so nice and had delicious cookies for us upon arrival and a bottle of Keuka Lake wine!. She was only a text away if we had questions. Everything we needed to cook our meals was available in the kitchen. Her beautiful home was directly next door to the cottage. They also have a sister rental cottage next door to the one we rented for those who have more family members. Overall a lovely time was had by all.

The cabin and property was in a great location right on the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and a campfire at night. The only criticism would be there was only a very small space to sit by the campfire and the gas fireplace inside had a strong gas smell.

Little slice of heaven
Excellent area to stay with family. Suitable for an elderly parent with minimal steps. Overall, a wonderful place to get away and enjoy the lake right in your backyard.

Great Lake Cottage for a Long Weekend
We had a wonderful long weekend at the cottage taking in the beautiful views of Keuka Lake and wine tasting. The checking process was easy and they even left us cookies and wine which were both delicious! The kayaks were a nice bonus and we went out a few times. Host was very friendly but left us be which was a great balance. As for the couple of reviews that they didn't like the place, remember you're booking a lake cabin not a hotel room at a lux resort. If you're cool with that you'll have an amazing time. We plan to come back next year for longer.

Awesome Experience
We were so fortunate to find Shona and Tom through a VRBO listing. They are the most kind and genuine hosts you can ever ask for. They live on the same property and were always a yell or text away to answer our questions and to help get our boat to the launch and tied up to their dock out front of the cottage. Rent it if its available You won't be disappointed.

Quaint Cottage on the Lake
We had an absolutely amazing time. From Shona greeting us upon our arrival with fresh baked cookies to the access to the water right down the back stairs, it was a perfect weekend getaway.

I would give my stay 10 stars if that was an option we felt very comfortable staying At this location, the owner was very easy going and a sweet heart, they have everything at home including all small details (it feels like home). my friends took too long to come back when they were kayaking and the owner was worried and he was ready to take he’s boat to look for them. they have 2 kayaks available to guests, 1 single & 1 double. Also a paddleboat & a paddle board. The cottage does have a gas grill on your deck. You don’t need a tank as it’s piped into natural gas. I’ll always arrange my vacation to this place based on the dates they have available. I’ll never look for a different experience at this location See you soon!

Good location, nice weekend getaway
My friends and I spent the weekend at the cottage and had a good experience. The cottage is simple and met our expectations and needs. It was set right on the lake with a nice little dock to walk out to enjoy. We enjoyed breakfast on our private dock every morning. We had a comfortable stay for the 4 of us and our dog. The weather was in the 50s and at night it got as low as the 30s. The cottage is a seasonal home and has a gas fireplace for heating. It was surprisingly very warm and kept the whole house toasty. The location is set 30 mins away from Watkins glen state park. Hammondpsort has a lot to do nearby. We enjoyed the downtown. It’s really nice to find a pet friendly place set right on the lake. Additionally, Shona the owner was extremely accommodating and available at all times for communication. You can tell she really is invested in ensuring her customers have a enjoyable experience at her place. This was an added plus to our stay. I plan to return if I visit upstate NY again and I would recommend her place!!

Smelly place needs cleaning
The lady was oh so nice when we got there...we were in a rush to Niagara falls...so my wife didnt complain...but the place smelled of mold and pets...the pillows were stained as well...toilet had instructions on it...was persuaded not to use fireplce for heat...fire pit on premise was a joke.. Bad joke...we came back from falls and immediately had to leave because my wifes asthma was triggered by the awful air....this so called house should be bulldozed to the ground....tried calling texting owners to no avail....so didnt stay 1 night. ..and paid anyway...on top of having to spend money on two rooms for two nights at a local hotel in bath...which also was gross but at least the pillows werent stained

This cabin is in a tremendous location and has all the amenities needed for a weekend getaway in the Finger Lakes region, lots of wineries and a world class racetrack all within close proximity. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We plan on staying again! Great pet friendly place right on the lake with wonderful owners.
We loved our stay here and will be back for sure. Wonderful owners who couldn’t be more helpful.
Right on the lake with beautiful views and the use of two docks. We loved that we could go on vacation with our dogs. Don’t hesitate in booking this property.
