Unser Aufenthalt in den Narva Castle Rooms war phänomenal. Wir wurden im Laden des Museums freundlich empfangen und alsbald zur Unterkunft geleitet. Der Tisch war bereits für den nächsten Morgen gedeckt und im Kühlschrank fanden wir die Zutaten für das Frühstück vor. Nachdem wir von unserer Stadterkundung (Victoria Bastion, dunkle Gärten, Kreenholm uvm.) zurückkamen, besorgten wir uns noch etwas Grillfleisch in der Stadt, so daß wir noch einen wunderschönen Abend im Nordhof der Hermannsfeste genießen konnten. Daß wir ab 18 Uhr ganz alleine und die Burgherren waren, wird ein unvergeßliches Erlebnis für uns bleiben. Vielen Dank aus Bremen!

Etwas unglücklich waren die umfangreichen Bauarbeiten, die aber ja notwending sind und sicher zu einem tollen Ergebnis führen werden. Daß auch das angeschlossenen Restaurant geschlossen war, hat uns anfänglich enttäuscht, da wir uns darauf gefreut hatten. Wir haben aber adäquaten Ersatz gefunden. :-)

There is only one room and you can enjoy the castle yard alone after 6pm! The castle is on the border with Russia, really interesting to watch.

They need to have a fridge in the room as after 6 you should have your own food and drinks

Best stay I think I've ever had. Very clean, great for walking to restaurants and sights, and the staff was truly amazing. I loved being able to have a bonfire the second night when weather was dry, having the living space separate from the bedroom was good when I woke up before my friend, and walking around the castle grounds was so unique.

The property has a very friendly staff that was very kind and very informative. The property’s location is very nice with its views and is a unique experience. The property is also located in a great central location 15min walk from the train Station.Entrance to the castles museum included.

The breakfast is not a hot breakfast. Renovations make it harder to access, but not totally inaccessible and understandably that are necessary. There was no hot water. There was a smell of mold. Not many places to eat around the area which may possibly be due to the current global situation and is obviously not the fault of the hotel.

The room was nice, the castle tour was pretty cool, and the location was right on the Russian border. Sweet sights and sounds. Town is fair but we were there for the castle.

There was no running water. I was really disappointed by this. We had to carry our bags quite far across unpaved gravel (they were doing construction).

Room was nice and cozy! Very fun experience in Narva - our kids loved staying in the castle! We loved the chance to explore the Northern yard and have a campfire.

Staying over the holiday weekend was not ideal - we had to be let in and out by the guard since the museum was actually closed. The guard didn't seem to mind, but it made it less convenient for us.

When would you ever get the experience of staying in a medieval castle in Winter ? Pricey but worth every penny. The Museum offers the opportunity to stay in buildings in the northern court of the castle. The walls are very thick and the heating well designed and effective. The rooms are simply furnished in a medieval manner and are perfect. Everything necessary was there, including a simple breakfast. You are left overnight as the sole inhabitant. It is a revelation to realise that life in a castle in the middle ages could be both comfortable and satisfying, providing of course, there was no trouble brewing across the river.... I should add the that it is possible to bring your car into the castle court, providing the securest parking in Estonia.
