The hotel room was good, the staff were very helpful. Also the 7-11 convenience for little items we need.

The hotel was very near the railway station, but to walk, we need to go around. There is construction going on, hopefully in the future they install an escalator for the crosswalk, The taxi also has to go around as many crossing have barriers.

Location was good.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Direkt neben dem Bahnhof Shenzhen, wo man leicht nach Guangzhou gelangen kann. Das Personal spricht gut englisch und war sehr hilfsbereit, da ich früher einchecken musste nach erheblichem Ärger mit dem Paco Hotel gegenüber. Das Frühstück war okay, eher für Chinesen und für Ausländer durchschnittlich. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut.

Ich will nicht rummaulen, denn alles hat funktioniert. Aber die Ausstattung ist aus den 80-er Jahren, bestimmt so 30-40 Jahre alt. Oh, und eins noch. Mein Bett war ziemlich hart.

The safe was not attached to a wall or cabinet, but sat loose in the closet. Relatively expensive.

The hotel is older, but well maintained. Definitely worth the price. Restaurant in the lobby looked very decent, and there are plenty of options for food outside. Public transport is within easy access, but if walking in from the train station, be prepared to carry the suitcases up and down some stairs before arriving at the hotel...

My experience was marred by checkout. When the amounts didn't tally, I asked for an explanation, and the staff (and their manager) didn't explain the situation well (Only referencing "taxes". When I pointed out that even excluding taxes, the amount didn't tally, they turned into a playback machine, repeating "taxes" without addressing the discrepancy). Only when I personally calculated the numbers one by one, did it make sense. I would assume a hotel of their standing would at least Their dismissal of my concerns were disconcerting... In addition, the refund of my credit card deposit was handled without letting me know what was going on... I stood there for almost 10 minutes, with them beeping away at the machines. When they asked for my card a second time, they didn't do their due diligence informing me of the reason and/actions. Only when I asked in the end did they say that it would be between 3 days to a month before the deposit is refunded.
