Gelungene Mischung aus historischem Ambiente und zeitgemäßer Ausstattung. Zimmer groß, hell und alles sehr sauber. Die Panoramaterrasse und der Blick auf den See grandios. Zugang zu Seegrundstück mit Badeterrasse wunderbar und im Sommer sicher ein Highlight!. Hervorzuheben ist der extrem ambitionierte Service des Hauses. Kleines Minus: Die Restaurantküche hat uns leider nicht überzeugt. Aber auch hier hat der Kellner durch profesionelles Handeln es ein wenig abgemildert. Dafür großes Lob und nochmals Danke! Alles in allem kann man das Haus gut weiterempfehlen.

Nice location, nice with a beautiful view room. An old villa with a good position and elegant interiors. A nice buffet for breakfast. We could park the car behind the hotel. We hardly found a place in the parking lot.

unfortunately there is a lot to say! The directions to get to the hotel are unclear, we needed the help of the locals. After the road we went out on the terrace to have a drink. I ordered a mojito that had no lemon and extremely little alcohol, in fact it was a kind of mineral water with mint... for 8 or 9 euros! I didn't say anything because I didn't want to spoil our mood and I thought it was an accident. And the boy who served us was kind. At dinner, the food was bad but with a pompous name... A kind of sushi without fish, beef cheeks chewy and tasteless, the dessert mediocre! We went into town to look for a restaurant to eat schnitzel, because we were hungry! Even though we had paid half board, I read in the room that we can give up dinner if we announce the reception by 11 o'clock a.m. So, the next day, we announced to the reception in the morning that we were canceling the dinner and we were told that it was ok, dinner will be canceled. At the breakfast, there is no butter, only margarine Becel. I asked for butter, they told me there is butter, I got angry and told him to show me one... he showed me margarine... vegan butter... I asked for butter and hardly received a packet. Next morning was enough butter!!! The staff in the hotel hardly understand english! But the big surprise was at check out when we were told that the dinner remains paid even if we canceled it. We asked why no one told us this when we canceled it, but the lady told us that probably the colleagues didn't know. Wasn't it their job to know???? We should have canceled at booking.com but they didn't tell us anything. We canceled dinner at the hotel and ate in the city at a restaurant 2 evenings. We left the hotel with great disappointment! Too bad about the hotel because the bar and restaurant are very bad.... many claims for nothing!

Great location on the gorgeous lake. Incredible view from the boathouse and the terrace for breakfast. Very good breakfast!

I liked everything except the wifi. I'd give it a rare 10/10 if the room had decent wifi connection.

Great bedroom with fantastic view of lake and mountains. Great location, walkable distance to the town. Half board menu was exceptional, couple with great service from all the staff.

Breakfast buffet was excellent! Room size adequate. Having private access to the lake for swimming and use of free pedal bikes was great!

Unfortunately our room (No. 129) was next to the laundry room and the washing machine and tumble dryer were on pretty much 24 hrs. a day. Don't have that room if you are a light sleeper. Friendliness of staff was mixed and some of them didn't speak much English or German.

Room 129 next to the laundry and rather difficult to change the room. Location was in the ground floor that was more like basement with no decent view at all.

The hotel is very bad The pictures shown on the website do not match the reality - We booked a room with lacke view and the amount was more, but we only saw trees!!!!!! The room does not have a carpet Insects are everywhere in the room and bathroom The bed is very bad and uncomfortable Breakfast is very normal

Great location and facilities.

Part of the staff was very nice (the younger staff members), but the other half was very disrespectful and mean. Made me feel not welcomed.

The hotel was wonderful and the location breathless. There were many amenities including bikes to use, paddle boards, a kayak and a lovely dock. The breakfast buffet was endless with delicious breads.

The check in system was odd as others have said. You had to try to track down a waitress for anything you needed and they were not super friendly. There is lots of hills to walk to get to the beach or back from town so it is better to know that upfront.

Beautiful property set back from the water a few hundred feet. It's a very large park-like property, so the original name Park Hotel ( rather than the new name Seehotel) fits it best. We originally thought the property was on the lake however,. based on the prices and pictures. All that said, we loved our Jr. Suite, which was the biggest we've stayed in on our trip and also one of the best: two balconies and windows to let in the light and the breezes. We had a great time! The manager is very friendly and helpful, as is the staff. The cleaning is good, the breakfast is good, a fair selection. St. Gilgen is a pretty lakeside village, very busy with tourists though.

Property not on the water. Wi-fi was good but had game ports blocked or unopened. Thus could only browse the internet.
