The swimming pool is the only good thing.

I couldn’t sleep because I could feel all the springs in the mattress. Very cheap uncomfortable beds. Room service is every 3 days. At breakfast I was told by staff that they don’t have butter at breakfast. The place is 3kms walking each way from the beach and around 1.5km from the closest supermarket. There is no food nor drinks on site and it’s extremely difficult to get a taxi or an Uber. There are no vending machines on site nor a fridge or a microwave. I do not recommend it for those without their own transport, nor for stays over 1-2 nights.

The room was clean and the only staff member we met, Paula, was really nice and accommodating. Swimming pool onsite.

It’s in the middle of nowhere. We could not get a taxi/bus into the nearest town so had to walk 3km each way instead. There are no facilities onsite to get food or drinks, not even a vending machine.

1. The staff was real nice 2. I loved the breakfast. Nothing special at all, bread, salami thingy and cheese. cereals and milk, yoghurt and fruits. bead, butter with jam, honey or both. coffee 3. There were 34 degrees outside and this place was chilli. Perfect! 4. It was very clean, in general

1. nothing to do about it, but it's real far from the beach 2. The place is a Youth hostel. Which means common bathrooms . I don't mind it much, but you should know :) 3. The beds squeak at every movement. The most annoying screech ever especially since you can easily hear every bed on the hallway. 4. It is old.. so many things, especially in the bathroom, could do with a refurbishing. Paint not being where it should have been and stuff like that. 5. Did i mention it's a youth hostel, which means young people being loud in the night? That being said.. i liked the place. Annoying but clean :) and missed having a stupid simple breakfast. This place delivered, even if I kinda wanted eggs as well.

We asked to merge the 2 single bed so we could have 1 big bed and they did but the structure of the bed was too large and unfortunately we ended up with a big gap in the middle

Nothing in particular. Good potential but the property it’s been discriminated and it’s completely abandoned.

Very poor standards, old beds in a cold room with just a old and damaged heater.

This is a large facility. Two beds to a room, probably due to covid. It was clean. Big bathroom with a designated shower for each room. The breakfast was a typical hostel breakfast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, tea or coffee and juice, included in the price and the staff worked with me to make it available before my taxi arrived for an all day excursion. I want to give a big thank you to the staff worker who reserved a taxi for the following morning. It made my trip to the pedestrian bridge in Arouca possible. Thanks again.

Towels may have been available. I just didn't think to ask. The facility is located a distance from town which makes it hard for those tourists without a car. I miss the personal touches.

It's such a shame as the location is perfect, it has a Big car park, Good wifi, and is very clean. My bed was comfortable. With investment it could be great. It is a lovely area. It is possible that I will return.

A large youth hostel, really for school groups I think, but looks semi abandoned. Lovely pool but surrounded by weeds. The building is in disrepair. Bar only had soft drinks, and not many. No food available. Breakfast was a packed lunch of 2 small sandwiches, a yogurt, a fruit, a madelena and a coffee in a plastic cup. No plates. Bedroom was very bare. The place is being run on a shoestring and is in desperate need of renovation and cheering up. Check in after 6pm!! 40 euros for a twin room with only me in it seems too expensive when I had a couple of lovely 3 star hotels for almost the same price earlier in the summer.

Staff is nice and available to help anytime.

Facilities are old for the price charged.
