Beds were 10+, very comfortable cottage, well stocked and lovely decor. Master is great size and storage. Crofter was very charming. Just a lovely place to stay

This property was perfect for 3 couples enjoying a weekend getaway. The house is beautifully furnished and stocked with everything we needed. Managing reservations and contact with property manager could not be easier. Would love to come back.

We like this property and location enough to have come back for the second year in a row. One of the batteries is not charging the golf carts well so we informed the property manager. They have stated they will look into it tomorrow. When we had an issue last visit, they were out to resolve it within the hour.

This is our 2nd time in this home. Location is perfect. Easy walk or cart to the beach and you can hear the surf from both porches. Comfortable living room and kitchen. Beds were excellent. Would stay here again for sure!

We have stayed in perhaps half a dozen homes here & this is still my fave. It’s got some kind of feeling in it that says “home.” We felt very comfortable even from the first 5 minutes in the house. Very clean, comfortable beds, big kitchen/dining, kin a cute subivision. Highly recommend!!

We (family of 5 with teens) really enjoyed the house and the extra room over the garage. It was perfectly located with golf cart access to all places. We also enjoyed using the provided bikes to spin around the roads throughout our area. BHI is a wonderful island and we will definitely return soon!!

The house is gorgeously decorated and well-stocked. There are two golf carts and bikes to use. We absolutely loved everything about our stay! This house is a total gem.

We have rented many properties at BHI and this property was one of our favorites. We loved the location to the Shoals Club and the beach. It was very suited for our family of four and the kitchen was stocked nicely. It was well furnished and finished well with decor. We enjoyed our stay!

This our second time staying at Dream Away Cottage. We appreciate the short distance to the beach and to the Shoals Club. We like the decor and we had everything we needed for cooking in a lot. The cottage was very clean except the second bathroom shower is showing some age ( mildew in several areas).

We loved this location and the accommodations of this cottage. It felt like we were staying in a rain forest. It was very well decorated. Would stay here again.

We had a good trip and the house was very clean. There were a few kitchen items we needed but otherwise all was well.

We absolutely loved staying here. The house was gorgeous and clean. We had no issues. I'd never stayed in the forest area before and always stayed closer to beach - but I LOVED staying here. The front porch on the house is awesome. Enjoyed coffee there every morning. We traveled as a family of 5 and my husband and I stayed in the master and my 3 boys stayed in the room with 2 double beds and it was perfect. We didn't use the crofter but we walked into just to check it out and there is a musty odor to it. I didn't bother us because no one slept there during our trip. I would definitely stay at this house again!!!! We had a great time.

6 of us at Bald Head for a friend's wedding. This house is perfect for 6 couples. Very clean. Had everything we needed for a great stay. Loved morning coffee on the porches. Would definitely stay here again. Rental managers were great to deal with.

I have been going to Bald Head my whole life and stayed in many different homes on the Island with my Family. This home was the perfect space for our group! It had nice open living spaces and two screened-in porches. We loved the kitchen and the big dinning table for sharing meals together. It also provided all of the amenities we needed and the property manager was great to work with! We could not have asked for a better spot!

We had 3 issues and the management company responded immediately. The crofter beds had sand in them. The outdoor shower has mold in it.

We had an amazing stay! The layout was perfect for my 3 year old and 2 twelve year old daughters. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Staying on Bald Head Island is always something that our family looks forward to. We've been going on and off for the last 20 years, so we are pretty familiar with the various rental options. Dreamaway Cottage was very nicely situated on the East Beach side of the island, with very easy access to the beach and Maritime Market. The house was well laid out for our family - we appreciated the en-suite bathrooms for both us and our daughter, as well as the well-equipped kitchen. We cooked a number of meals there and we had all the tools we needed. However - we found the property lacking in several ways. When we got there, there was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms or the kitchen. In this pandemic era, that's pretty bad. We also found the under-sink area and apron drawer in front of the sink full of dirty, moldy water that smelled terrible. We reported this to the property manager - they offered to send a plumber, but since there was no active leak, we declined. They did say that they would bring soap, but none ever showed up. In addition, the cleaning level of the house wasn't great. Our socks were dirty after walking around the house, there was hair on some of the towels, and stains on the bed linens. Lastly - coming to Bald Head has always felt like a luxury. But the fact that the management company leaves you with only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, no tissues, no soap, and only one garbage bag really cheapens the experience. I get that sometimes guests take that stuff - but at this price point, comparable properties we have stayed at will provide plenty of those items in addition to toiletries. We knew this in advance - they don't really hide it - but it just feels cheap. We will continue to come to Bald Head Island - but I doubt that we will stay in another house managed by BHI Services.

My husband and I recently stayed in the lovely Dreamaway Cottage to celebrate our anniversary. Little did we know we'd be sharing our stay with the Sally Storm. So while we were inside more than we had expected the home was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and made a nice little retreat for us to read books and watch movies when we weren't able to be outside. We highly recommend this charming property for a couple or family.
