We enjoyed the location and amenities and would stay again. There were several malfunctioning items during our stay warranting the four starts. The garage door did not open with the remote and the host said he would come fix it during our stay and did not. The washer and dryer in unit did not work but there did happen to be backups in the garage. There were no curtains on the bedroom windows just blinds that only slightly kept light out which complicates traveling with kids when rooms are bright at 5 AM. There were no rugs or throw blankets or comfort measures like that. Fairly bare bones overall considering the price for the location. But a very great location with fantastic food options and beach access.

Upon arrival, it was clear the place hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. There were dirty dishes in the cupboard, hair and grime in the corners, dirt and dust covered all vents, trim, and ceiling fans. The dishwasher was filthy, plumbing hardware was flimsy, and many window latches were broken. Chipped floors, dented walls, tarnished/rusty fixtures. The beds and pillows are uncomfortable, and the bed in the largest bedroom has no slats supporting the mattress. The couch is sagging in many areas, and the cushioning has worn away. Most windows are single pane, so it’s noisy, and there are no bedroom blackout curtains. Not ideal for napping toddlers. The wifi is spotty on the second floor. The owner is responsive by text, we didn’t have wifi on Day 1, and that was fixed by Day 2, and he did send a cleaner on Day 3, but they had limited supplies, so they just wiped down the dishwasher. We also requested extra sheets and blankets, and those were sent to us within a day. The main floor only has blackout curtains, so you have to choose between dark privacy, or having pedestrians look in on you. The garage is tiny. We parked a Toyota Camry and had to completely unload before pulling into the garage, and the driver had to squeeze out. Will a GMC Denali fit? Yes, but you would have to crawl out the sunroof to exit the truck. The roof top space, and the included beach toys and chairs were great, but the lack of attention to cleanliness and comfort left us with a less-than-ideal experience.

We stayed at the place for 5 nights and we found it perfect for our stay. The place is nice, clean, functional. The best part is definitely the location. It is literally a few steps away from the beach, walking distance from Belmont Park, but not too close, which means it is still relatively calm. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. I recommend it.

Park your car and enjoy the walking distance to beach and a couple of restaurants including a coffee shop. No need to drive again. We even rented bikes nearby for something different.

Location is great. The neighborhood is great. Calm with some eateries and bars near. The pacific beach is literally steps away and the bay side is 2 tiny blocks away. A few blocks away to the north and to the south it gets busier and there arre more people, commercial areas with more restaurants, stores and bars

This property is in a nice location. It needs some deep cleaning. The beds were comfy.

The location to the beach is great but we experienced many other issues that would prevent us from staying here again or from recommending it to others. The property was not ready for us to check in even though we arrived 4 hours past “check in time”. The description is misleading in the quality of the “remodel” that was recently done. It is very clearly not being cleaned by a professional company and the garage was a mess. All the bedding including pillows and mattresses really need to be replaced as well as the couch and rug in the main living area. We didn’t realize there was no table to eat but found a folding table and chairs in the garage that we brought in and cleaned ourselves because they were filthy. We tried calling the property manager and their secondary contact but never head back from either party. There wasn’t really anything they could have done while we were staying at the property to fix many of the issues, but we would not trust the quality of what they are staying they offer and the property condition.

Everything was great The only issue was it had bikes listed and there were no bikes( I notified owner) and the comforter in one of the rooms was soiled. Other than those 2 small things it was an A+. Great Locaton and nice to have a garage

Great location just steps from everything you need. Beautiful beach view from the rooftop deck and easy walking access to shops and dining throughout the area. Easy communication and check-in process made things even easier! Would definitely recommend the property!

This was a great place to stay. Its right by the beach and had a really nice private rooftop patio which we used when we were not at the beach.

While the location was great, the dishwasher did not work properly nor did the washing machine, or dryer, or hairdryer. The parking was extremely tight. We enjoyed the split level unit as well as the rooftop deck and the proximity to many wonderful restaurants as well as the beach and bay.

We keep coming back for the great location!!

First of all upon arriving, the duvet covers on one bed were covered in what appeared to be ‘sex stains’. The owner uses a cleaning company, so I immediately brought this to his attention and he was very grateful for the feedback he said and promised to send me $100 check for my inconvenience washing everything and appreciation for my providing the feedback. I was told it would be sent by the end of that day which was the second day of our trip. I Followed up a few days later, check was still not sent but another promise. It has now been 13 days since we returned home, still no check. More text responses that it was sent. Hopefully the mail is tragically slow. Not a fan of being lied to for no good reason. The renovated new appliances as the listing states, , i’m guessing that just covers the microwave, which was new. The stove and fridge are old but worked fine so it’s more just an in accurate listing. The bed in one of the bedrooms, you can feel the springs and badly needs to be replaced. You can tell that the owner has attempted to do little things to spruce the place up however. The rooftop setting is fabulous! The location of the condo is fabulous! Unfortunately, there are homeless visitors that reside in the garage space across from our place, which made me nervous. Definitely necessary to close the garage every time and lock up. And yes, the garage size is crazy small! We literally did not take the car out unless absolutely necessary due to the stress of the tight parking. So overall, other than the nasty duvet, which I doubt will ever happen again, the place is nothing fancy but does the job.

Advertising this as a “brand new remodel” is false. There appear to be multiple code violations that are safety hazards, especially for kids: an electric outlet coming out of the wall, dishwasher that comes out from the wall when opened, a loosely mounted ceiling fan over a bed, and multiple broken bullnoses on stair treads that are a tripping hazard. Cosmetically, the walls are riddled with chipped paint, the stair railing is rusted, and the air vents are caked with dirt and dust. Dishes in the cabinet were dirty. We left immediately.

We had a great stay here. We had a couple issues with the power. Fausto was so responsive and helpful. He immediately came out to get things up and running. Location in truly 40 steps from beach. Would stay here again. ❤️🌊

Close to lots of cool stuff. Clean and comfortable. Would recommend some throw blankets available for chilly evenings (only recommendation for improvement). As many other reviews mentioned the garage is very tight and difficult to get into if other cars are parked across ally but we managed with a 4door sedan.

The location is perfect and the place has some upgrades inside. Just a few steps from the beach!

Great property and location. The only thing we had issue with was parking in the garage with a Toyota 4runner. The garage was a little small for this vehicle and would definitely indicate on the listing that the parking is made for a compact or small SUV.
