Diese wunderschöne, moderne 75qm Design-/Künstlerwohnung im Dachgeschoss (Aufzug vorhanden) befindet sich genau an der Grenze zwischen den Bezirken Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg und Wedding. Im Sommer versinkt die Sonne hier erst gegen 21.30 Uhr allmählich hinter den Dächern Berlins… alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie z.B. Berliner Dom, Fernsehturm, Reichstag, Synagoge oder Sony Center am Potsdamer Platz sind mit dem Fahrrad oder den Öffentlichen in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
2 getrennte Schlafzimmer und ein großzügiges, helles Wohnzimmer mit grossem Balkon direkt am Mauerpark! Nur 2 Minuten zum Mauerpark oder zum schönen Arkonaplatz mit zahlreichen cafes und Restaurants, und auch die berühmte Kastanienallee mit coolen Designer-Läden und Boutiquen ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt.
Die Wohnung befindet sich im 5. Stock eines modernen Neubaugebäudes im ehemaligen Mauerstreifen - die Mauer verlief quasi direkt durch das Grundstück, wo heute das Haus steht! Sie ist durch ihre grossen Panoramafenster auch im Winter aussergewöhnlich hell. Die aufwendig hergerichtete Sichtbetondecke, die stilvolle Beleuchtung und die grossformatige Kunst des Eigentümers sorgen für ein gemütliches Ambiente. Die Möbel, inklusive des coolen "jailhouse bed" aus weissem Eisen, stammen überwiegend von den Möbelbauern Noodles & Noodles aus dem Prenzlauer Berg, also quasi "aus dem Kiez"...
Die beiden Schlafzimmer und auch die grossen Fenster und Glastüren im Wohnzimmer lassen sich bei Bedarf durch Rollos verdunkeln... wichtig für die Langschläfer ;-)
Auf 75 qm gibt es Schlafmöglichkeiten für 6 Personen: Zwei Schlafzimmer mit je einem Doppelbett, sowie eine ultrabequeme Designer-Auszieh-Bettcouch für 2 Personen im Wohnzimmer.
Die Küche ist klein, aber wurde erst kürzlich (2020) saniert und ist voll ausgestattet für grosse Kochfeste. Das geschmackvolle Ambiente wird durch die zahlreichen Bilder und Kunstobjekte des Eigentümers noch unterstrichen. Mit dem riesigen (1,50m breit!) flat screen Fernseher im Wohnzimmer kann man es sich hier abends gemütlich machen, und durch die grossen Dachfenster die Wolken vorbeiziehen sehen.

Location was fine- near Mauerpark and the Berlin Wall memorial. You can get anywhere in Berlin via public transportation. Also easy walk to Prenzlauer Berg- which is full of great restaurants. Big problem was the bedding and beds. The bedding was extremely musty. To the point that my nose and sinuses were burning every morning from mold spores. We figured why- the washer and dryer were in the basement and, despite there being a dryer, all of the bedding was left out to dry in the dingy basement. We were there 4 nights and sheets that had been hanging the whole time were still damp!. I have no idea why they didn't just use the dryer!. The beds themselves were very thin and sunken. No top sheets on the bed- but thats typical of Germany. No screens on the windows so always a concern for insects. I would not stay here again.

The floors were dirty/dusty and we had to wash all the towels in an attempt to get rid of the musty / mildew smell in a laundromat nearby albeit the €48 linen and €59 cleaning fee. The furniture is pretty rickety too. All in all the designer apartment stay was more like glamping. Also be aware that the host will ask you to leave another „city tax“ in cash or via PayPal at the end of the stay. We were advised by VRBO not to pay unless the request comes through VRBO.

We had a great trip overall! The location of the apartment was fantastic - right near the U. The place was quiet, clean, and a nice place to stay for my family of 4. We had a fantastic trip and Robin was easy to get in touch with. Thanks!

This ‘artist loft’ is large, but desperately needs some upgrading, specifically the beds, pillows and the couch. The bed has huge indentations making for an uncomfortable nights sleep. The pillows were old and lumpy. The one thing travelers need is a good bed. It has opened meat in the fridge, no hand soap or paper towels and the dishes in the cupboard were dirty. Unfortunately not recommended.

We got to the flat expecting to find someone there to let us in. After a long wait in 90+ degree weather, we were finally able to reach the employee who no longer worked at the flat. She was able to give us the number of the main manager who finally responded with a way for us to let ourselves in.
The apartment had a room air conditioner without a way to vent it. It had no fans (it should now as we left two there after buying them at the local market.)
The refrigerator needs defrosting badly. The balcony was both dirty and the chairs were broken. There was a pull-out couch bed without any bedding. When we left, we asked if we could extend the check-out for an hour as one of us is handicapped and needed time to prepare. We were then asked to check out an hour earlier than the listing noted.
The location is good and with some proper maintenance, the flat could be good. It was not for us.

Everything about this home was comfortable. It was such an enjoyable stay because everything I needed was there. Robin was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire time, before and during our stay.

A fantastic apartment in Berlin and in a location we loved. So much to do nearby and great transport links to the rest of the city. The apartment is situated just off Bernauer St (right beside the remnants of the Berlin Wall ..and Mauerpark) - 5th floor , with lift, with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens below. The apartment is minimalist in decor and lovely and modern and clean. We were a party of 5 - 2 couples and one singleton - there are two separate bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living area. Ample space for us all. We had a great time and were sorry to leave. There are so many ameneties in the surrounding area - cafes/shops/bars/public transport. We ate in the local area most nights - although the apartment does have a great (albeit small, galley-style) kitchen so you could easily self-cater if that's what you prefer. You are a stone's throw from Kastanienallee - very cool street. And really it's an easy walk down to Alexanderplatz through great and interesting neighbourhood, although there are trams/buses and U-Bahn within 5 mins walk. A supermarket (Edeka) about 5 mins walk away too. Only negatives are very small things really - just a lack of things like teatowels for drying dishes and a bit of lack of storage /hanging space for clothing. We also thought the apartment had an iron/ironing board - with 5 of us we needed one! However, we called Gerlinde and the very next morning she delivered a brand new one for us - thank you so much. Great communication with the owner prior to and during our stay. I would highly recommend and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The apartment was impeccably clean and quiet. There were cool breezes in the evening on the balcony. We were happy to return to the apartment after a hot day in the city and veg out after making meals in the well supplied kitchen. We walked everywhere directly from the property. It was very convenient for exploration as well as transport to Tegel.

Robin was easy to deal with, but we had a communication mix up on the day of our arrival. Our German friend was with us and finally reached Robin and we had just a short wait for a nice lady to arrive with keys. We were exhausted from a long flight, which explains some lower ratings. Without the mixup, I would rate the visit a five.

The apartment is well located close to the Wall Memorial Park and numerous Prinzlauerberg restaurants. We biked and walked to everything during our stay. Nice balcony and easy access to the building. Some small things would help -- instructions on wifi access, the TV didn't work. Overall great place to stay and we would come again.

We stayed at a great apartment. The neighborhood is close to amenities. Loved the location. Robin was easy to communicate with. Arranged everything prior to arrival and Gerlinde, the lady who met us was awesome. Would definitely stay again.

But when we came there was no power for half of the electric points.
This was rectified but because the wiring for one of the points was ripped out of the wall, the power was lost again. This was dangerous.

We had an excellent stay in the apartment. The location was very good with many shops restaurants etc close by. Getting about around Berlin was easy . The only problem we had was that nobody was there on our arrival. However on contacting Gerlinde she came very quickly to let us in. She was very welcoming and helpful

Nice, bright, spacious apartment. Modern decorations. Very well located. We spent five full days exploring Berlin and mostly walked to our destinations. Only thing we wished for was a little drawer space in the bedrooms. Our host, Robbin, was quite helpful. He provided us with map made up for the neighborhood--grocery store, restaurants, etc. He was kind enough to make us a taxi reservation to the airport when we left.
Washing machine works well, but is very slow--don't get caught waiting to go to dinner or to bed while the machine churns.

The apartment is great! Really spacious. Robin was really helpful in laying out the surrounding bars,restaurants. It's in a great location & would definitely stay here again!
