I booked this place for my daughter and her friend, but at 12pm my daughter phoned me saying that they couldnt sleep because there were a lot of bed bugs biting and her friend kept on itching. They could literally see the bed bugs crawling and they are massive. I told them to speak to the reception, the staff seemed to know that its happening but pretended not aware the place has bed bugs. They were instead moved to a different room, however its thesame, bed bugs everywhere. Her friend got plenty of bites all over the body as is allergic with bites they swell like a size of pringles lid and they are red, poor girl. They did not have sleep at all.
We are complaining for the money back, we have pictures of the room with bed bugs and all the bites.
Dont go to this hotel, its really bad, staff is not helpful and dismissive.
The poorest place ive ever booked, the owner must do something as i believe all the rooms and whole building is infested with bed bugs.

The room was small, but clean and nice. We booked 3 bedroom, was convenient with kid.

The breakfast was lovely. Very friendly staff at the café. Short walk. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend the Beeches.

No hassle. Friendly proffessional staff, helpful and informative. Room cleanliness and everything worked.
The smell, cooking smell of what was probably a lovely
Indian meal permeated everywhere. The room window had been left wide open before I arrived but did nothing to freshen. Bedding was thankfully fresh and crisp cotton. People in nwxt room had tv on most of the night, just not loud enough to complain, walls very thin. No curtain at window.

Excellent value for money, friendly, helpful proprietors, very clean.
The en suite bathroom/ toilet was very cramped and scuzzy. The light/fan switch was hanging off the ceiling and the pull cord was dirty.

Bed was really uncomfortable and super thin duvet cover, which would be fine in warmer weather but not January.

Staff are really friendly! Beds are comfortable! I have stayed in a few hotels in the area and I would definitely return to this one.
Bathroom is very very small! But this is normal for the area I think!

It’s really is a great B&ZB for the price, especially in the Xmas season. Everything was clean and tidy, bed was a little uncomfortable however for £29 per night it was a really great arrangement. The host / owner was also very accommodating and friendly, would highly recommend.
Bed was a little uncomfortable. So there’s mattress but that’s just my preference.

The location wasn't bad
A couple of pictures would have brightened up the room. A modern new bed that doesn't squeak every time you sit on it or move on it. Describing the room as superior with large shower was not true. There was no light over the corner where the tea tray was. There was no shaver point. Despite there being a dining room in the house, we had to walk for 10 mins to a Cafe for our breakfast - it was a good job the weather was fine. The Cafe was shut for 2 days, and the breakfast was delivered which was more of a brunch than a breakfast, we were not asked what we wanted, so had to accept what came. My husband ruined a pair of trousers on nails that we found out too late were sticking out in the chair he was sitting in. We were promised a refund of £15 when we left - we are still waiting. Loose T bags on the tray - they should have been in a packet especially because of covid. The towels were not much more than hand towels.
