Facilities were very good. Common kitchen for freely availble coffee. Grounds wwre remarkable, groomed & quiet from road noise

Great location within Balian, just a couple of minutes from the beach and restaurants. The room had a lovely terrace overlooking the garden which we loved. The kitchen was basic but had everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was great. Kadek was very helpful and friendly.
The mould in the bathroom, and some of the pillows were a bit grim if you looked inside the cases. But considering the cheap price, this was not a big deal for us.

I stayed in the deluxe room. It was really epic. Grounds are beautiful. Owners are lovely. Quite location. Short walk to the beach. Real decent coffee shop next door. Close to everything but far enough away to be private. Highly recommended.
Could have done with a bit more cooking equipment. Also a decent clean of the kitchen and bathroom.

Gorgeous garden with birds chirping every morning. Quiet and tranquil, an absolutely perfect spot. Super close walk to the beach.

The room was nice, the garden absolutely stunning, and the location was perfectly placed between the beach and the market.
The mosquito net around the bed didn't look very clean and needed some structure around so that it wouldn't touch you while sleeping. The shower was only cold, but the weather was warm, so that was ok.

The location, the outdoor and pool were very nice, we enjoyed it. You can walk within 4min to the beach, the outdoor is well maintained, and pool is very nice as well.
Kadek also drove us to our next destination at what we think was a fair price.
We dont want to look picky, we usually are easy going i think. Even with the doors and window opened, the room was very smelly/moisty when we arrived. Maybe because of the rain from before, but it was a bit hard to get good sleep. We had to leave the fan plugged all the time to change the air.
After the first night we noticed mold on the bed and we told the owner. We were expecting him to at least clean it but nothing about it.
The place looks very nice on the outside though.

Quiet little tucked away place run by the kindest family. They were so kind and welcoming especially to the kids who they treated to fresh coconuts and a delicious banana pancake breakfast!

Horrible experience. The room,the bed and pillows were very mouldy and damp. We had to change our accomodations at 2am because it was impossible to sleep.
Better go somewhere else!!!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed and we love everything at Pondok Balian.Kadek & his family are such nice friendly people and always make us feel so welcome.It has it's own secluded pool & sunloungers but if you prefer the beach it's only a short walk away.If you want peace and tranquility you will love it here.Thank you Kadek & family for another perfect stay 🙏😁
