M&m were the best hosts Very friendly couldn't help enough has I turned up a day earlier my mistake they never turned us away made up rooms for us there home is beautiful breakfast was fab lovely couple enjoyed our stay will DEFINATLY be back loved the place!!! Great value for money. 😁

The house is absolutely charming. It is very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was lovely and the room was very comfortable. Martin and Melanie are wonderful hosts. The house is very well located for visiting the area. We travelled to stay for an event at The Newt and it was perfect. We would highly recommend it.

Martin and Melanie really went above and beyond. We were there for a wedding nearby. Melanie ironed our outfits and Martin dropped us off and picked us up from the wedding. The breakfasts were amazing, lots of things from their garden and Martin cooked us delicious scrambled eggs. We loved our time in Somerset and thank you very much Martin and Melanie for making us feel so welcome in your home.

Superb breakfast. The Granola and the compotes were divine. The ambience throughout the whole house was lovely. Lots of very interesting eclectic artefacts which were a feast for the eyes.

There was no en suite, but a shared bathroom with other bedrooms. Luckily no one else was staying on our floor.

Fabulous home made granolas, muesli and fruits. Scrambled eggs to order were superb!

easy to find, very good location, hosts very friendly. bathroom a little small, but it was ok. Nice village and beautiful view of the garden. Also the owner showed us a nice path in the country side, behind the house and told us about restaurants pubs in the area. we really had a very good stay ❤️

Beautiful house with amazing view from the bedroom. Very comfortable room. Best scramble eggs ever for breakfast. Melanie and Martin are a wonderfull warm couple.

Martin greeted me at the door - extremely welcoming, helpful, friendly, and communication was excellent! Could not be more attentive, superb host! Thank you! :) You could hear a pin drop which made for a superb nights sleep. Views to die for. The homemade granola and the scrambled eggs were incredible! Your two dogs (and the visitor dog) also made for great company in the morning! :)

The room is a real home. I like the bed most. Usually beds in UK is too soft, but this one is just perfect. I had a best sleep. Melanie and Martin are very nice and kind. Martin is so good at making breakfast. Everything is home-made. Especially all kinds of jam, I love it. It was a good stay.

Breakfast was homemade and delicious. There was homemade granola, various homemade fruit compotes and the usual cereals. We had home cooked scrambled egg, bacon and sourdough toast.

wonderful, warm and welcoming atmosphere. very relaxing & stunningly decorated… just my taste. great to luxuriate in the huge roll top bath after a long drive too. our hosts were fabulous and breakfast was amazing x

Easy, comfortable getaway from London! Really appreciated Melanie and Martin's help planning a weekend out with our dog: pub recommendations/bookings, walking recommendations. They know the area really well and can help you tailor your plans accordingly. It's easy to enjoy Ellesmere without a car as we did, having arrived by train, because Martin runs a little taxi service for guests (for a reasonable price). Breakfasts excellent and relaxed, dog-friendly atmosphere. Very clean and characterful house.

Not a complaint but we didn't realize upon booking that our bathroom was not en suite (am sure this was our fault for not reading details). Not a problem at all, as bathrooms were not shared and were spotlessly clean. Just worth noting for guests that value an en-suite bathroom to double-check which room you have chosen since not all of them have this.

Sadly just a one night stay, would have loved to spend at least one more night at this lovely place. Excellent knowledgeable, warm and welcoming hosts. Martin and Melanie are perfect hosts, so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend the breakfast!

Beautifully appointed rooms with luxurious linen and towels. Lovely array of toiletries to use in the old fashioned bath with a view out over the countryside. Martin and Melanie were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was divine!
