Excellent hosts, clean and beautiful house, great location! Anja and her husband were extremely helpful and welcoming, they even came late at night to fix the pool lights so we got to enjoy the house to the max. 10/10, would recommend to a friend

When we arrived the host was very pleasant. They showed us around the house, explained how to use the tv, air con, bbq and white appliances and left us maps and list of places to visit. It was a nice welcome after a long drive. The host was also kind enough to leave some water, drinks, lunch bits and snacks so we didn't have to go to the shop as soon as we arrived. It was a really nice touch. We really loved the outside space, pool, bbq, sunbeds, dining areas, driveway and all the beautiful garden areas. The house is situated on a quiet street and in a small town. Its only a 15 minute walk to the nearest beach and a 10 min walk to a local shop, cafes and a restaurant. As our trip was in the summer months, all the local attractions, beach restaurants and shops were open. I'm not sure if that would be the case during winter months.

The house was a little dated and bathrooms are in need of a major revamp. The drains in both showers drain slowly so water builds up. Water runs slow (this is something the host mentioned when we arrived). There was a lot of hair around the house, behind doors, on sofas, in bathrooms, on towels, on floors and even in the cutlery draw. The house was tidy and the majority of it was clean, but it wasn't clean enough for my standard (e.g. lipstick on glasses, dirty pans, bath mats with grime and hair underneath). The WiFi was non existent. On our first day the host explained that the dongle wasn't working and that she was going to get it fixed. When the host returned with the dongle we were asked not to overuse WiFi for downloading regularly as the host had to top it up. The WiFi never worked for any of us which was really disappointing and misleading. There was air conditioning in one room (the living/front room), but not in the bedrooms. We paid extra for air conditioning, which I feel was rather unfair and expensive especially considering it was only available in one room and brought to our attention when we arrived. Our stay at the villa was pleasant, but we unfortunately left very unhappy after being overcharged for a parasol that broke during our stay. The parasol with no fault of our own blew over one windy evening. We kindly mentioned that it broke during check out (we didn't have to) and then was gobsmacked when the host blamed us for not using it properly. The host said that we should have laid it flat on the floor every evening to prevent it being damaged (even though that's not how we found it when we arrived). We questioned whether this was explained to us during check-in and then the host became very rude and unreasonable adding €70 on to our bill for a €20 parasol (we checked the price on Amazon). We only feel it's fair mentioning this so that other visitors aren't overcharged like we were!
