Filthy bathroom. Water was literally brown! When I approached the front desk they told me “too bad, the city must be flushing the water.” SUPER expensive parking. Tiny rooms. Understaffed and horrible breakfast which cost a mint. Viking far better deal.

The best thing about this hotel is location and friendly front desk staff. This is an old tired hotel. We had to move rooms because our room smelled so badly it’s like they cannot get the carpets cleaned enough. But the beds were nice and the location was great. Don’t think we would stay again

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Newport Harbor Hotel. We were able to enjoy the pool, which was very nice. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Wish there were drinking glasses provided in the room. There was very little space to hang clothing/towels/bathing suit. The toilet was very low to the ground. The fan in the bathroom did not work.

The Hotel location was amazing. The one bed was weird because it had a huge sip on one side. Not crazy about the pool. It said heated felt very cold. The fire pit was amazing great views. Overall it was a nice hotel but a tab pricey so probably will look elsewhere next time.

The hotel is extremely dated and run dow. The room was extremely musty and dark. Other then the location, zero redeeming qualities.

stayrind 2 night negative: room #415- can't sleep at night due constant metal sound from roof - where light pool by metal cord attach and sounded due wind. Reported to front desk- no response room 415- between windows frame solid "green" may be mold? dust * see attached picture- report front desk- no cleaning crew.. positive: receive 1 free breakfast for 2 people

Best location in Newport!! Little dated and small rooms but the location can’t be beat. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful location for exploring Newport…it’s near the transportation center and there are many dining and shopping options. The hotel does need updating.

Newport harbor is so convenient and close to everything. But hotel needs to be updated.

WI-FI was extremely slow. Soap & shampoo dispensers empty. Location is excellent for walking.

It’s in a great location for anyone that can’t walk too far. Staff was very friendly.

Our door didn’t lock, our phone didn’t work and wasn’t told had to turn power onto the room so after 1/2 hr trying to figure out and having to walk back to service desk since phone didn’t work which we asked to have fixed & it wasn’t. Door locking issue did get fixed while we were out but had to leave open until done.

So amazing! They provide you with kayaks and bikes. Great location

Very nice stay

Room hadn’t been updated since 1986. Lamp shade was dirty. Bathroom door hinges were rusty. Shower head was about to fall off. Bathroom sink had to be closely monitored or it could overflow within a minute or two. TV was from another decade. Remote was greasy looking. Lying in the bed was like being sucked into another dimension. Asking for a late check out was like pulling teeth. On check out I expected a parking fee. But it was twice what I expected. That’s because of amenity fees. You know, for things like a paddle board, etc. Things I didn’t use, wouldn’t use, nor were I even told available to use. I stayed here because it was in the middle of everything Newport. What I realized walking around town was that there were a lot of other places that were also in the middle of everything. I’ll be looking at those hotels next time.

In downtown, so close to everything. Fan in bathroom did not work, and mold on the ceiling, tub filled when taking a shower. Beds were ok, rooms are clean, refrigerator worked well, coffee was good. Parking is tight, but plenty. When you checkout parking pass no longer works, so shop or eat breakfast first. Gatehouse should be nearer the gate, as they don’t really come out until a line forms, so a little tricky getting in and out. They should also wait until all cars in line have cleared, as they keep walking back and forth. I would stay here again as location is great, but would check the room first.

We celebrated our anniversary and had a great time!

The room was very nice although the bathroom needs more ventilation. We had a room facing the restaurants on the warf and it was a little noisy at night. We took advantage of the free kayaks and paddled around the harbor. The location is great. I would stay there again.

Our room was missed on the cleaning schedule. Not good when you pay so much to have this done daily.

Property is a bit outdated, room smell of damp without ac on . Great locations to local restaurants and shops otherwise.
