Great hotel! Clean and service people are very friendly. They do not do room cleaning every day. Free shuttle to the city center is a gem. The rooms do not have balconies (locked door, no access to the balcony).

Service at the front desk was amazing and room view was great. Cleanliness was terrible. Room clearly hadn’t been swept and one nightstand was sticky from some kind of spill that was not from us. Would stay again but will be checking the room throughly next time.

Convenient to dwtn Charleston & the hotel shuttle was an added plus; comfy bed with nice linens. Great view of the Harbor~ esp in the evening for happy hour! Would stay here again ;)

100% recommend this hotel. It is an older hotel, though it is well maintained. The shared areas such as the elevators and hallways need some work but the room was beautiful and the view was absolutely amazing! We went to a show a mile from the hotel, which is why we pick this place and will definitely be staying here again. We ate breakfast at the rooftop restaurant. Food was okay but the view is perfect to enjoy coffee and a quick bite. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.

The view of the river and Charleston from the rooftop restaurant is excellent. However, the food is subpar. The rooms are not very clean and the decor tired.

I totally love this hotel. Check-in was terrific with such a nice receptionist! The room was big, very clean, great bed and great view! A small balcony but window is definitely close for security.
A free shuttle every hour drop you and pick close to the market (very central) and an amazing breakfast with an incredible view! Excellent value! I recommend at 300%!

We always have a wonderful visit every time we stay at Charleston Riverview. It’s convenient and we love the bar upstairs with that amazing view. Rooms are comfortable and linens are very good.

Intrigued with this building for many years and had the chance to explore because of a friend’s wedding and needing a place to stay. A bit bedraggled in finishes, but that adds to the charm, at least for me. Real people on staff who aim to please, Stunning view with decent food and great cocktails. I’ll be back.

This place was old and in desperate need of a remodel. Both beds had stained sheets,

The cleaning workers were very lazy. I made my own bed. All that was needed was towels, a mop, take the garbage and a wipe down. I had to go downstairs to the lobby and get towels and garbage bags from the customer service desk. The makeshift closet didn’t have any doors. The walls had cracks in it along with stains. The hotel pool had a ring around it, as if someone took a bath. Whom ever panted the pool and/or anything did not care about quality nor perfection. The customer service desk had get customer service.

The property is a bit dated. The hot water was not very warm. The rooms show their age.

This hotel is comparable to other hotels in its price category. The room was quite adequate, with a good, working AC and multiple types of pillows on the bed. Many rooms would have great views of the river/city, but mine looked into the pool equipment. The restaurant up top has a great view. The breakfast buffet, for $17, is only marginally better than what you get for free at other chain hotels. Actually my biggest issue here is the difficulty of departing in the morning. The hotel is essentially in the median of a freeway with a steady stream of high speed traffic whipping around a blind curve.

An older property but our room was nicely refurbished and had a great view of the river and the city. Very spacious, too. We especially appreciated the free hourly shuttle into historic Charleston. So nice not to have to deal with traffic, parking, and unfamiliar streets!

Very disappointed in my stay. I had $180 professional flat iron, plugged it in and it zapped my iron. I told a lady at the desk and all she cared about was that outlet. Never offered a compensation for my iron. I also should have checked about breakfast. It is not free. I did pay for buffet. Terrible. Cold. The kids were all open. Not worth the price.

The only thing I didn’t like was the mattress was to firm for either of us. Otherwise everything was great! Got a great restaurant suggestion from one of the staff. I didn’t get his name but the restaurant was fantastic!!!

One night stay for medical tests....bed and mattress very comfortable! Staff friendly and courteous. Shower took forever to heat up, Caulking and shower enclosure had brown stains, drain was dirty and stained as well. Breakfast upstairs was very good!

I'm a travel health care worker. So we had a 2 day stop on our way to our next location. The room was worn but clean. The view was beautiful. The shuttle was very convenient. The property is older & worn. The outdoor & common areas need to be cleaned up like window & maybe pressure wash main entrance. Over all it was a good stay

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall appearance and condition on the hotel was grimy. Everything looks and smells dirty. Our room had stains on the walls and the floors looked like they hadn’t been mopped in a very long time.

The view, the location, for the price is great, right out of downtown, a mile from james island, several beaches close, shopping was close, many restaurants within short driving distance, wont find another place with the view from the top restaurant.

This place has a great location and a shuttle that drops you off right where you want to be. Yes, it's a little tired, but we had a room they updated a bit on the 12th floor and it had a nice view. Every employee we encountered from check in to the shuttle drivers to the maid who was waiting to clean our room was friendly so we had a great experience.
There are certainly nicer places to stay in Charleston but for the money and location we thought it was great and would recomment anyone to stay there.
We went to the top the night of our stay for a nightcap but unfortunately, they were only serving beer and wine as the bar was closed around 10pm on a Friday night. Just as well for us as we'd been out since 2pm but might have been a bummer under different circumstances as there were a decent number of people.
We'll be back!

Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The area which I think the hotel could improve on is the amount of outside noise coming in the room. It would seem that the glass is not thick enough or the seal around the sliding glass door is not strong enough to dampen some of the traffic noise. The noise level from the traffic was loud and I had a hard time falling asleep.

The restaurant prices were ridiculously high, and the only working ice machine was on the 3rd floor. I was on the 7th. That was not fun. But everything else was good!

Nothing at all. No airport transportation. No lunch menu. No service to places like Walmart or the malls. Drug a#icts staying there. I will not retirn or refer

Lobby and dining looked updated, rooms on 10th floor at least were not. Looked a bit dingy as far as walls, ceiling, paint etc. bathrooms were fine but the location served us well

My room smelled of urine, very musty smelling coming from A/C. Wallpaper was peeling from wall and there was alot of mold on the walls in serval places. Not up to Holiday Inn Standards.
The food in the restaurant was over cooked and overpriced and not fresh. Service at restaurant and front desk was good.
Worst Holiday Inn stay ever.
