Great hotel with good facilities.

Nice hotel in an excellent location. However 18E to park the car is excessive for guests.

The stay in the hotel was amazing, but do not park on the street as it is very crowded and people are destined to hit your car while its parked there

From start to finish customer service excellent. Room decor shower bathroom mini fridge slippers and robes complimentary water and cleaning every day if needed. Free extended checkout for one hour and 10 euro pr hr after that. Massive help. Close to restaurants bars shops ice cream parlours excellent bus service to take you to city centre and towns for €1.30 each way. Taxis and ranks on hand. €6 euro to puerto chico next town full of eateries bars and by harbour. Only downfall of hotel is no pool and not a great menu in restaurant and bit of an odour so never ate there. Has a gym and salons and specialised delicatessan next door.

I was very happy staying here. The room was absolutely gorgeous, spacious, super clean, had tons of storage, bed was comfortable, shower was beautiful with excellent pressure and temperature. I have zero complaints about this room. The rest of the hotel is gorgeous also and well maintained. I only ate the breakfast buffet one morning because I'm not used to eating those types of foods first thing in the morning, but those who love a large assortment of meats, cheeses, eggs, fruit and pastries would be in heaven. I did eat dinner in the dining room twice and the meals were excellent. The location cannot be beat. Grocery store is a 3 minute walk from hotel. 3 minute walk also to catch buses to go all over the city which I did during my week stay here. I bought a bus card for 10 Euro which took me everywhere, easily, conveniently and was a great way to explore Santander. My one and only complaint is a dog across the street who starts barking Every. Single. Evening. The staff did offer to change my room but I love this room and my view and decided to fall asleep to the TV instead.

The hotel is weird and uninviting. The rooms were beautiful but the shower was very dirty with mold. The locations was great, and the area beautiful, but the atmosphere at the hotel was creepy

Lovely hotel,a 5 minute walk from the beach and a 10 minute bus ride from the city centre.Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated with a nautical theme.Though we didn't use any of the hotel's facilities, there was an on site gym,disco,bar and restaurant.

Beautiful and well kept hotel. It’s equivalent to a high end hotel in Chicago or NY but a fraction of the cost. Beautiful area with plenty of walking paths and only a few meters to the beach.

We had a lovely three nights stay at Hotel Santemar. Staff were very friendly and helpful, it is a comfortable and well located hotel only minutes from the beautiful Sardinero beach. I would happily recommend this hotel for a stay in Santander.

Good quality hotel overall. Room was comfortable and clean, parking garage very convenient at 18 euros per night. Free on street parking is also available. There is no outside space to relax in, which would have been nice, considering the beach location. We found limited dining options in the immediate area, particularly on a festival day. The town was vibrant with lots of bars and restaurants but is a 30 minute walk. Beaches are lovely and we enjoyed walking along the promenade.

Used for an overnight stop in Santander. In a very nice, - I'd say - quite upmarket part of Santander. It's within a 5 minute walk of one of the main beaches and there are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants/bars within very easy walking distance (which might be important because the hotel restaurant seemed a bit pricey - not that we used it). Great location for the Ferry to Plymouth, which is just a 10 minute drive away.

The room was spacious and with a very cool style, marine theme. The bathroom was also nice a spacious and the facilities in general were good. The location was great to go to the beach although not so good to the city centre, however you can find buses right down the street.

Great atmosphere, more a commercial hotel feel than a tourist destination

A fabulous brutalist exterior with an opulent and well designed interior. Great breakfast.

Stayed for long weekend, hotel is great, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a nice size with a huge bed. Nicely decorated and cleaned to a high standard. Would defintely stay again.

Very nice hotel. Amazing breakfast!!!

I stayed two nights 28-30 June. Rm 636 had two broken beds which were reported and not resolved for my first sleepless night. It took a follow up the second evening to resolve. Not a proactive or apologetic engagement with staff. Very disappointed to pay a decent tariff for a hotel without a serviceable bed. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, fresh and had a comfortable feel. Not what you would reasonably expect.

A hulking '70's facade reveals a very nice resort hotel within. Convenient on site parking. Our room was large and comfortable with a sea view. Comfortable large bed and excellent bath facilities. Several nice restaurants down the street and just steps away from the beautiful beach. Not in the center of town but a pleasant residential area right on the sea.
