Hotel is ok but getting run down. Ho eat at the Mineral City Grill. Very nice place.

Confortable, clean and nice

we always choose Baymont when visiting our son and his family in Ft Dodge. The place smells good, is always clean and everyone is friendly and the breakfast is always welcomed. :-)

It’s a very old hotel that needs to be updated. A lot of issues with paint, trim, tile, showers, etc.

Nice Loved the breakfast options.

Went to visit property (before) checking in (,was out getting food) and asked to upgrade room to a suite. The woman at the desk says not with 2 pets. I said i never said i was bringing pets. She preceeds on to say theres 2 dogs out in your car. So she completely stereotpyed me to begin with. Then they made my room right next to the office as if i was going to sneak them in. First off im not an idiot i wouldnt risk getting kicked out after spending over $100 on a ran down room And if i wanted to take my cry baby dogs i would have paid the fee like an honest person does. But i didnt want them to come they ruined previoys hotel experiances by whining. We got watched like a hawk by staff when we were swimming. Room wasnt the cleanest. Paint chipping all over the bathroom and tub. The sheets were wrinkeled and looked like they had been just made up from the previous person. Pool was small and had way to much chemicals in it. Burnt my face and eyes. Terrible experiance and id never visit there again.

I got a discounted rate through a website but it still seemed like it was excessive. Outdated room, average at best continental breakfast. There was even a light bulb missing from one of the bedside tables.

My family meets for a reunion in Humboldt. Often the two hotels there are full so we have stayed at the Baymount several times. Best of all it is reasonably priced

We needed a motel for one night to accommodate our family for a funeral, so the room I got was a king suite, it was a far cry from a suite. The room was clean but had a stale Oder to it, the room definitely needed to be updated. The couch seem really old and well used, the bed did sleep well. The breakfast area was very small, hard to move around in when multiple people were in their. Someone ran the microwave and all the power tripped off in that area.

Clean comfortable room, the included breakfast is pretty good, but the eggs were a little weird. The plastic utensils where quite flimsy.

OK. But the current state of the hotel is more like a Super8 in the Midwest. I was expecting better, particularly given the rate Hotels.com charged me.

Asked for a handicap accessible room because our daughter uses a walker. I was told we had an accessible room and when we checked in, our room was on the second floor - with no elevator in the building. We asked for a room on the first floor and was told there was none available. We had to carry our daughter and the walker up the stairs. The room was clean but definitely not accessible.

After seeing the room - closet door without runners, musty smell , and old dingy carpets I opted to leave and ended up losing half the cost of my stay but worth it to get out of there. Moved to Country Inn. Much better choice .

The room was musty smelling and had stains on the carpeting. Corners and behind tables dusty. The pool had rust stains on the bottom of the pool and crud built up on the back of the ladder.

While the room was clean, it was clearly worn. The white towels didn't seem very "white" and made me question the cleanliness. Although my stay was "fine", I think I'll try a different hotel on my next stay in Fort Dodge.

The Comfort Inn of Fort Dodge Iowa is conveniently located next to the mall, Hy-Vee, Hobby Lobby, Taco Tico, etc. Pets are allowed for a fee. The free breakfast included waffles, biscuits and gravy, and cold items (donuts, bagels, juice). The pool was clean and comfortable- a small pool, but it was empty while we were there. Overall, the rates seem a bit pricey- but the location and 'pet friendly' are nice features.

We were headed up to Humboldt and needed a dog friendly hotel. The Comfort Inn was clean. The rooms looked like they were recently redone. The staff was very friendly. They don't charge much for the dog which is great. Breakfast was not fantastic but good enough.

Average hotel but as good as you're going to get in Fort Dodge. I've stayed at the Country Inn & Super8 as well in Ft Dodge. They all have friendly service and they all have their faults, if Comfort Inn would clean their rooms better & update they'd be ahead of the game. One plus it was pretty quiet at night.

The Comfort Inn was a decent hotel at a reasonable price, but located in a hard-to-find area of town. The receptionist took about 1/2 hour to successfully run my credit cards at check-in, and the receptionist at check-out gave us the wrong directions to get out of town. However, the room was clean, and the continental breakfast spread was GREAT!
