I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are large and spacious. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. The views are fantastic. This is a great hotel for a weekend getaway in a picturesque part of the California coast.

My first time staying the night at half moon bay. The hotel was so comfortable clean and quaint. It was quiet. Really enjoyed sitting out near the fire pit. I will def stay again

Easy to get to, right off the main road. Friendly staff. Dog friendly hotel with a $90 pet fee. Fireplace in our room and you can ask front desk for more wood. Bed was too soft for my back but overall good for the price.

Great alternative if you don't want to pay for the Ritz Carlton. Particularly liked the courtyard area with fire pit and seating to enjoy the evening.

Standard King room spacious with very comfortable bed and pleasant covered patio overlooking golf course. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was in a quiet area close to access to a paved coastal trail.

Poor water pressure. Sliding door was very hard to open. No screen door so many moths flew in. Bedding had what looked to be blood stains on them. Hair in sink and shower.

Bike rental was only for adults , so families with babies , children are left out.
Breakfast , claudia i think her name was , was very rude , like she wanted people to leave so she can go on with her day and get this breakfast part over with.
Her display was rather ridiculous in my opinion.
There were few other things that were iffy but not a big deal .
Overall it was fine , one night here is great.

The HMB Lodge is a must stay! The property is clean and well cared for. The rooms are large and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower has great water pressure and warmed up quickly. It was quiet and very peaceful. The rooms overlook the back sitting area and golf course. There is a pool, hot tub, fire pit, plenty of outdoor seating to relax as well as family friendly games such as ladder ball and cornhole. Plus they have free bike rentals. Check in and out is easy and they have a free breakfast that includes make your own waffles. We will definitely be back!

We had a good stay at Half Moon Lodge. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was good. Pool was heated and hot tub was excellent. Out door fire was nice, especially on chilly nights. Hotel had plenty games for kids to play. Its a family friendly hotel. Driving distance to restaurants and golf.

Your hotel reminds me of Casa Munras (Monterey) before they redid it a few times. I loved the fire pit, but was disappointed it was turned off so early on a Saturday night. Staff was great and very helpful

I really liked the accommodations - room was spacious, quiet, clean with all of the expected amenities. Have to especially call out the check-in folks as they were super courteous and kind in assisting me with an early check-in. I plan to stay here again next time I'm in the area.

The floor in in my first-floor room was warm in spots because of the warm water pipes.
Shower was great (a rarity in the bay area).

Old hotel, everything makes noise you can hear people opening thr door next room. When people start walking whole celing is cracking but they want 300 for a room. Pictures in hotels.com is photshoped to make yhe hotel look good!!
