This location is just a few blocks from family I visit in Aiken a few times a year. The price is affordable for me, as I am retired & on a fixed income. The room was clean, but a few of the units need the carpet cleaned.

Checking in was great, the female behind the counter was great. My friend and I were in town to go hunting the next morning very early. So we asked about breakfast sandwiches or coffee being made early so that we could get something. The female behind the counter answered everything and told use she would leave a note for the night guy. Well the night guy didn't make the coffee, or set out the sandwiches, or muffins. He stated he never got the message or note. It didn't start the day off on the right foot. Good thing the metro diner is right next to the motel, because we got breakfast sandwiches there, after eating dinner, to cover our butts. The room was a typical double bed room, it did it's job. Gave us a place to sleep until 3am.

Property needs a major update. Hj never received expedia confirmation so took much longer to check in. No real handicap rooms

I like the location of the hotel. It was clean, comfortable & spacious, but my heater did now work in the room. I am from Florida & was cold. I did let staff know this morning.

I would never stay in this place ever again out of town for a funeral for a family with my young child and they were roaches literally everywhere in the sheets on the walls. The bathroom was disgusting. The walls were nearly falling apart. I truly hope they shut this place that

This hotel should be closed until fumigated and restored. I had to leave the hotel after the first of four nights I prepaid for. I was moved to 3 different rooms and there were many roaches in all. The walls had black dots of bugs’ excrement everywhere and small roaches crawling on the bed linen and the carpet. I opted for this hoteI trusting the brand Howard Johnson by Wyndham and the “good reviews” in Expedia. This hotel is undoubtly a health hazard. Ms. Brexton at the front desk on the 21st of September when I checked in was very kind, helpful and apologized for the situation which was certainly beyond her control.

The pool was not open, it is in need of repair. That’s the reason I stayed there. This should have been noted. Also, the rooms are in slight need of repair. I have been in worse rooms, I expected a little better from HoJos. (I know this isn’t a real Howard Johnson but still). It is located in a great area, so much nearby.

Decent place to stay

Everything was great except that there were lots of bugs crawling around on the bathroom wall and also on the wall above the sink. I have no idea what kind they were.

Had to clean A/C filters. Carpets turned feet black. Sheets had permanent stains. Blankets stained and torn. Shower curtain rod broken. Had to ask every day for towels, even tho listed as 3 occupants, they weren't happy. Staff to think we were only allowed one breakfast per room not per person?

room stated a nonsmoking room yet terrible odor of smoke. my clothes smelled the next day. hard to sleep.

The parking lot had a huge broken section and we had to drive over it to get to and from our room. No breakfast available as advertised. Past stay was great and that is why we chose the location besides being close to everyone we came to see. Would love to travel again and stay with Howard Johnson.

Id rather not say Everyone has feelings I do think about other people and Consider there feelings

Great price Our tv was not hooked up took over an hr to get fixed because he simply forgot about the request New every thing paint furniture fixtures but it was over falling off wallpaper cracks poorly plastered over repairs to walls

Had no smoke detectors, small fridge was old and stained, couch stained and torn, shower head coming out the wall, the divider wall between bed and couch barely held up very easily would break with any pressure on it

Staff was helpful.

The key was unable to unlock the room door. The hair dryer was broken. There was a plastic bag of stuff (looked like dirty socks) in the room. It was too dark and cold in the night for me to go to the office in another building to address the complaint.

We were very pleased with the cleaniness, comfort and courteous gentleman at tge front desk! We will stay again when in Aiken

I’m not sure why people give this any sort of stars. It was pretty worn out and did not feel super safe. That said the breakfast was non existent so add the cost of breakfast to your bill and stay somewhere else.

This hotel overall was pretty descent the room was clean and comfy, and it was convenient to all the restaurants. I will definitely stay in. Oh and before I for get the check in guy has awesome customer service. I will definitely stay here again.

This place is run down and not safe with the people who hangs around.

Had a great stay here for 5 nights. We had booked two initially, then 2 more, and then 1 more on the last full day about 30 min til check out. We had met a couple staying underneath us for a couple days as well. He had happened to step out and she was waiting around 11:30 (checkout was 11), housekeeping came around to ready the new rooms and the girl was hanging in the door waiting for him to come back. They didn’t officially check out, and he had told the lady that he was going to check out another room. When housekeeping ran into the girl and told her she couldn’t be there and that the room was booked for the next night. I didn’t not believe her completely, but it was only a Friday night in a

Decent affordable hotel

I got a room because the AC was out in my apartment. I mentioned that to the rude staff and said I was excited for a cool room. The room I was given was over 90 degrees, smelled like smoke and stale air. The bed was like sleeping on a sheet laying over concrete. Hands down one of the worst hotel stays.

There where roaches on the bed! And I have still yet to get refunded

Stayed here for an inexpensive place while horseshowing. Room was very dated but clean. Pool wasn’t not open. Close to food and horse show grounds.

First room smelled strongly of stale air and cigarettes. There was a bottle of water on the floor by the bed and cigarette ashes on the shelf (both from the previous guest). Dried white stains and holes on bedding. The room was humid so the bed was moist. Stains on the chair and couch. Very large red stain on floor. The tv was broken. It was utterly disgusting and was probably rented by the hour normally. The smell of marijuana was everywhere outside. We went to the front office and the guy there had holes in his shirt and was completely uninterested. I called Expedia to get a refund; no refund but was offered a new room. Gloria, one of the housekeepers was very kinda and This room was still extremely run down, but so much cleaner and better kept.
