A bit worn. Took a few hours to warm up room.

Our room was amazing and the bed was very comfortable!!!
We also had a wrap around balcony with the view of the marina and the Astoria bridge

Staff is always so friendly and helpful. It is our favorite place to stay

Come evening we discovered that the balcony slider didn’t lock. Changed rooms. When going to turn on floor lamp there was an empty beer can in the corner that wasn’t ours. So someone didn’t do a thorough cleaning job.
Beds were a little hard

The hotel was a little older than I had anticipated. It did have a great view of the marina, however.

There was a bunch of rust or mold on the mirror and in the bathroom. A little weird went to open the patio door in the morning and it was unlocked. Use the term "with a view" loosely since we really only saw the boats in the slips. Breakfast was good.

Had an issue with the tv and they responded right away and fixed it.

Astoria is always a great place to visit. We have stayed at this hotel several times before. It seems to be going down hill and need a remodel or at least a good cleaning. The morning we left i turned on the shower and the handle broke off. It was rusted. When i told the desk clerk he said they wod fix it when we left. No thanks or sorry that it happened. The tv remote did not work very well. We even found bottle caps on the floor. The view is awesome but i dont thonk ill be back until they remodel.

Although the staff was friendly and attentive the room lacked ventilation and I alerted the staff that the bathroom fan was inoperable. The bathroom tiles were coming away from the wall and the ceiling appeared as though it had water damage and shabby. Despite the towels in the bathroom and the sheets, pillows, and blankets being clean and comfortable I will choose to stay elsewhere next time I come to Astoria, Oregon.

No central air so you have a fan you had to plug in to a power strip. Not updated but front desk service as great. Clean room

Started off rocky, got key card, opened room and it hadn’t been cleaned. Office upgraded us to executive suite which was amazing. Great view off balconies. Nice breakfast and staff very nice.

Excellent view - our favorite on the whole trip! They need to clean the carpet, though.

All in all, we had a good stay here, but a few annoyances preclude giving a higher rating.
1. We were told we could park in front of our room door. However that spot was marked as a handicap spot as was the one next to it.
2. The toilet seat was very loose. Any planned biological function quickly turned into a wild thrill ride guaranteed to eliminate any constipation issues.
3. We checked in an hour or two ahead of their posted check-in time. Fortunately the room was ready, but we were still required to pay a $25 early check-in fee. This would have been understandable if the staff had to be diverted from their scheduled rounds to clean our room out of sequence, but the room had already been cleaned and was ready to be occupied. This seemed like price gouging to us.
4. The dead bold on the door didn’t work. It functioned OK mechanically, but didn’t align with the door jamb, so we couldn’t properly lock the door.

This hotel is showing its age. Water stains. Bathroom mirrors that need replacing. Very few outlets. Room was dark even with lights on. Made it feel dingy. Patio deck very worn. Overall just meh.

Location is wonderful. I had a lovely balcony with a stunning view. Hotel is ready for a remodel though. For the price Ill take a run a down hotel with a stunning view especially with a balcony over the remodeled Holiday Inn which was actually more across the street without.

Simply fantastic, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The balconies overlook the beautiful Marina.

Comfortable room despite "paper-thin" walls so could hear everything in the next room. Great view overlooking the marina. Mediocre breakfast. Right near the start of the Riverfront Trolley route.

Stayed 3 nights. Great location!
Day 2 we informed staff the screen patio door was leaning against the wall. No biggie, got it closed enough. Later on day 2 we discovered front door doesn't lock. A good push and you're in :/ We informed staff before we left for the day, came back and walked right into our room. No concern shown by staff. On the plus side, location is great, rooms are clean, breakfast is passable, trolly stops right out the front door and the front desk was quick with razor, sewing kit and suggestions on places to explore.
Try coffee at the coffee girl on pier 39!

Very difficult check in. Dirty old building, no amenities, no bedside plugs, rusty lamps, foul wet dog smell, rusty/dirty/moldy bathroom. No room ergonomics. Informed that rooms through Expedia are certain rooms that cannot be changed or upgraded—obviously their worst rooms. Manager and desk clerk were gruff, uncaring and downright rude to us without provocation. We will never stay there again.

Riverwalk inn great location right on marina. Lots of time time to watch boats come and go. The riverwalk is right there and great for walking. The complementary breakfast was great. The trolley stops right there and was fun. It is not upscale but comfortable, good value and good location. Staff and wonderful. Would come back.

This hotel needs a complete remodel. The walls are cracked and water stained, bathroom mirror is rusted, deck looks like you would fall through. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Pictures on Expedia and the hotel's site belie the actual appearance and condition of the hotel. When my wife and I drove up, we could tell it was an old-style motel. We decided to give it a chance. When we got to our room around the corner, we noticed the run-down exterior. It appeared renovations were in progress, and wood was stacked everywhere. The aroma of rotting fish greeted us when we exited our car. Upon entering the room, the smell of strong chemical cleaner hit us, and the view was of a 20-foot-high stack of logs, a large chemical or propane tank, and some water (not the Marina view we'd reserved). The room had the appearance of a run-down barracks (I was in the USMC and have stayed in nicer barracks). The bathroom was terrible... rolled linoleum on the floor. The room was truly several steps below your typical Motel 6. I called Expedia for a refund... they couldn't make it happen. I went to the front desk and was told that because I hadn't given them a chance to offer me another room that they would not refund my payment. I just dropped my keys on the desk and reserved a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Seaside (15 minutes away). To their credit, the hotel has not charged my credit card. My advice: if you want to see Astoria, visit the Maritime Museum and then keep driving to Seaside for hotel accommodations and dining. Astoria is dark, dirty, gritty, and smelly. It's a tourist trap's tourist trap.

Harbor view and spacious room with balcony

The view was good
TV didn't work properly and property didn't have A/C. I will make sure A/C is listed in description next time.

The lock on the door for the adjoining room was not up to safety code. The dead bolt lock was non existent by the door knob. There was just a small slide bolt lock near the top of the door. The door knob handle was insufficient as well on the adjoining room door. This should not happen for $300 dollars a night.

All rooms overlook the Columbia River.

I chose this hotel because of the view of the marina and the bridge..both of which were spectacular from the room's balcony. However, the room itself is in desperate need of renovating. Not overly dirty, just worn out and tired. Upsides..The breakfast was good, and the breakfast room has the same view. The location was great with all the sights we wanted to see were within minutes' drive and you could even walk to at least one restaurant.
