I love staying here ,I come from Los Angeles for my trainings due to my business. I bring my family with me and enjoy the pool the outlets and the windmill food court is twice a year thing.

Everything in the room was damp and lots of rust on the metal

I have stayed here many times. I love the pool view and sitting on the patio. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The pol is nice and the grounds are well kept.

I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the planet and this place was the worst of them all. They are actively remodeling, the plumbing fixtures can’t decide if you’re getting cold or steaming hot water, the floor was dirty, and the ice machines were inoperable. I won’t even speculate as to what they were trying to fix by stuffing a partial roll of toilet paper behind the hot water line under the sink.

You cannot beat the location. The food court on property is amazing! You can easily walk to Legoland. My only challenge was the very loud air conditioner that woke me up consistently thru the night. It would also be nice if the shuttle ran more often and ended after Sea-Life closed.

Just wondering if linens are completely changed BEFORE EVERY ADMISSION... feeling itchy first night, ( and only night... stayed overnight only, thank goodness) Staff at the desk were all very nice; I liked the location too.

The room had a lot of spiders in it, which means a lot of bugs. The spiders and I came to an understanding. The bed was decent, but the couch was uncomfortable and the general furnishings were lacking. The tv was way too far from the bed, if on the couch there were no side or coffee table to set a drink. Lack of efficient lighting. Bathroom was in need of updating and the towels and soap/shampoos were not very good. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR to take your stuff up to the second floor. and last is the invasion of privacy. I left bc I felt unsafe staying. They tell you they will not do housekeeping unless requested, so no entering the room unless I ask for it. I did NOT ask and they came while I was gone. Then even worse was that they came while I was in the shower (which is next to the door) and I said 'dont come in', not only did they try to open the door, they then shut it and tried it a second time! as I was then screaming at them to not enter. I luckily had the safety latch on. I immediately called the front desk and reported it. Then the next day it happened again! I really had high hopes for this place, but I did not enjoy it at all and will not be returning and will never recommend this place.

Local Gem, great amenities and location. Friendly and welcoming staff. 24/6 front desk and snacks available for purchase. Super family friendly and still peaceful and cozy. We look forward to coming back!

From the outside it looks like a very nice resort. The rooms were run down and not very clean. Anytime the person next to us turned on the water the bathroom walls would shake and it sounded like a jack hammer was going to come through our wall. Happened all night and very early in the morning. Also anytime someone next to you opens or closes their door it sounds like someone is body slamming into your door. The pool was very nice, the rooms are just run down and not quiet at all.

Me and my girlfriend came for a wedding and stayed a couple extra nights. Beautiful area, awesome hotel and everything we could want was either there at the hotel or right next door. It was the perfect place for a 3 day weekend.

Our second time here. There was a problem with loud music turned on by the pool In the middle of the night caused by a computer issue. When I raised it with the front desk they allowed us a very late check out and compensation. We will definitely be back.

We stay here every single time we are in Carlsbad and it’s our absolute favorite

They let me check in extremely early which was great because you can really enjoy the amenities on the property and the room, I love the huge tv, and the quiet courtyard, super easy going staff, love the room very comfortable, awesome shower . Very pleasant stay here

The noise, the doors were too hard and heavy to open, when the other rooms closed the door it shaked the whole building.

Location is excellent and there is a family atmosphere ( lots of kids and their families), just wish the place would get updated.

You don’t get clean towels or bed made without request. Room was not very clean like previous stays. Was missing shower gel. Staff was excellent as we had to move 3 times. Keys didn’t work, no lights or electricity in 2nd room. 3rd room was okay but not very clean at all. Definitely saw a difference from previous stays. This was stay4.

Room was clean and updated

The room was messy when we checked in. The floors hadn’t been cleaned, the bathroom was dirty, had hair on the shower walls and there were only two towels. Looked as if the room wasn’t properly cleaned. The phone didn’t work, the beds were old and needed to be replaced. For a remodeled room, I was surprised of the condition. The pool was dirty, the spa needed to be drained and strubbed. Spiderwebs everywhere on the property. The only plus was that the staff was super nice and the windmill was next door. In all my years of traveling, and my family travels multiple times a year, this hotel was by far the lowest quality we’ve stayed in.

Our room was musty upon arrival. Mold in bathroom, no fans. Return air above sink was leaking onto the floor. No breakfast included even though keycard stated free breakfast. Rooms so humid the bed felt damp. Will not return or recommend at this time.

Clean room good staff and everything was walking distance

I arrived and the girl at the front desk was on the phone for about 15 minutes with a complaining customer. She mentioned she would offer another room but there wasn’t any available 100% booked. Pool/hot tub was not enjoyable due to about 25 teenagers being loud and running around. All the kids filled the hot tub. The room floor was dirty. After showering and walking around are socks were black and filthy wish I took a picture. Weird loud noise coming out of the ac vent which made it hard to sleep peacefully

Great property, has a food hall 3 min walking distance from room that had over 8 dining options, as well as a bar. All their food was great. Only thing is hotel is doing some remodeling so a lot of noise an WiFi wasn’t working to well. But overall great stay, would definitely recommend to anyone and would stay there again.

There is a lot to do around the area that is walking distance. The stay is peaceful and not to much noise.

We liked the location. However, our room smelled damp and musty. Overall it was just ok.

Air conditioner was not working, screen door fell off when opened , shower facet fell off when turned on and table and chairs on balcony had chips of paint falling off

The hotel just needs to be updated. It just feels old and not worth $250 a night.

Property needs to be upgraded.

Fair to poor. The hotel ran out of wash rags. Had to ask for what normally comes standard.

We were in a downstairs room next to the stairs. Family with kids let them run up and down the stairs and because it was hard flooring, every sound was SO LOUD. Sounded like there was no insulation.Bed was really hard and uncomfy but the pillows were nice! Staff was super friendly and nice! Room was clean!
