Be strong in rebuilding Jasper!

Beautiful views. Wonderful staff. The lounge is a great place to enjoy a cocktail and stare out at the mountains.

The cost of a luxury, yes. The accommodations of a luxury hotel? No. Do not stay here, especially in summer. They do not offer air conditioning. They offered ice buckets to place in front of a stationary fan. At the cost of these rooms, air conditioning should not be an after thought. Most rooms are butted up next to other buildings, with no view. No privacy on your balcony, as you can hear everything going on around you. The parking lot was at least a quarter mile from our room. After hiking 14+ miles, the last thing we wanted to do was lug our bags through dusty crushed concrete and up stairs to a stagnant hot room. The area is beautiful; however, the accommodations here are stuffy and lack customer service. There was a line of people waiting with complaints and one man even said to me "Get out while you can! This is the worst property I've ever stayed at." We immediately checked out and found accommodations elsewhere, significantly cheaper and with air conditioning during the hottest days of summer.

We were evacuated due to wildfires. Hotel staff was NOT prepared nor trained for a situation like this even though the hotel is located in a high risk zone.

Lake view property

The property has no air-conditions in all the rooms....our 1st night we slept(stayed awake) in a very hot room with a fan that made a clicking sound all night!

The most beautiful stay ever, lovely room overlooking the lake, stunning views and beautiful sunrise, I will cherish this for the rest of my life…

The lodge was top-notch. We left the morning of the fire, and were dismayed to later learn of the evacuation and fire. I’m confident Jasper and JPL will rebuild as good as ever.

The room was newly renovated and beautiful with an excellent view of the lake. The main lodge however did not have air conditioning. With temps in the 90’s we felt the lodge was not usable. We did not want to pay high prices for a meal while sitting in sweat. We feel a bit cheated as we would have liked to enjoy the full use of the property considering the high cost of the room. The Fairmont can afford air conditioning.

First room we checked in to had a serious water leak but we were checked in anyways. Took over an hour to find us a new room. Hydro went out 3 times. Wildfires closed the resort and staff abandoned the front desk before informing guests or issuing refunds.

Five star rates and 2 star facilities. There was no AC in the room (no AC in majority of the rooms) and on inquiry, they asked "did you ask for a room with AC?". Since when do you have to check if there is AC in the room in a 5 star facility?
The dinner and service were both not good and they even charged for the food that was not served.
Overall, felt like money wasted and will not recommend.

Excellent, if overpriced, property that works great for three seasons of the year. However, it is unacceptable for a five-star hotel to have no air conditioning in the summer months. Our room was unbearably hot, as were some of the common areas of the hotel. We were also disappointed that a very hefty resort fee did not include free use of canoes, bikes, paddle boards, etc. If resorts in Mexico can figure this out, why can’t Fairmont? We felt gouged at every turn, including meals.

We loved the resort. There is so much to do and the service was impeccable. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the AC was out. Will definately staff here again.

This hotel has dated suites with VERY small bathrooms. We arrived during a heat wave not knowing that the hotel doesn’t have AC either in its suites or in the main lodge. We decided to check out after one night since the suite had dismal air circulation and remained hot all night.

Overal very neat and clean property with friendly staffs, just do not purchase the planetarium ture. It is completely waste of money.

Power outage one night.

Great resort.
2.0
Staff and location are amazing however it’s a crapshoot if you get a cabin with air conditioning ( it was 33c when we stayed). Constant room and resort power outages made it a very poor experience. The pricing of the rooms reflect a top tier hotel experience and this wasn’t it and the cost of food and beverages were extortionate. I was getting hit with daily visa charges instead of settling the bill at the end of the stay, I’m still not confident I will be double charged. I’ll probably never go back.

There was no air in most of the rooms… at 800$ a night, this was disturbing. We were compensated with complementary breakfast daily which was DELICIOUS, and 100$ CA a day for whatever.
The restaurants were quite expensive, but good. You do need reservations.
This lodge was in a great location for many hikes!

This property beyond exceeded our expectations!! The view was iconic wherever you were in the resort. My husband and I were constantly impressed by the friendliness of the entire staff. The food was excellent. The amenities were exactly what we would want in a national park. We would both say that this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Five stars, hands down.

The property itself is beautiful. There are a lot of amenities with the lake, pool, hot tub, boat rentals, etc. However, for the amount of money you pay per night you’d think there would be air conditioning…at least the window units. It was so hot even with windows open and fans blowing. We didn’t use the sheets at all. Not to mention the rooms have full size beds. Our phone in the room didn’t work, but thankfully texting is an option. The food and beverage prices are outrageous - I think my tomato soup and grilled cheese was $38. Staff was very nice. I don’t think I would stay there again.

Expedia booked me in the worst and oldest room with no air conditioning and no WiFi and paper thin walls for $750.00/night. No sleep in 87 degree heat and lost business transaction because of no WiFi. Ruined my entire trip.
2.0
Whilst the outlook and setting may appear idyllic there a some major shortcomings. There is no air con in the cabins and they get uncomfortably hot. Having the windows, doors open and fan running does not work. What should be a restful holiday left me deprived of sleep and awfully tired.
Be aware of the constant noise from the nearby highway and also the railway goods yard which works through the night.

Beautiful views, amazing lakefront suites with fire pit and lots of room for family staying also. Iconic rockies redort.

Amazing property and stay! It was so beautiful and the restaurants were outstanding! Excellent staff as well!

Setting is absolutely beautiful, private, quiet and very comfortable. Staff were the best, kind, courteous, helpful and informative. Love the diversity and the cultural sensitivity.

The property is in a beautiful setting and the grounds are very well kept. However, not having air conditioning in many of the rooms or in the main lounge and adjacent dining area is a huge drawback during the warm summer months as there is really nowhere to get reprieve from the heat. This really impacted our recent stay and is certainly not what you would expect for the price you pay at what is considered a luxury resort. Also, many staff were young and inexperienced especially at the front desk and golf course which created some issues for us.

Beautiful but no AC in the room on a 36 degree day

Great, best stay on trip but not best value

Would be 5 stars except for one MASSIVE problem - the room was BRUTALLY HOT. It was 90F. There was NO air conditioning. Most of the rooms have no air conditioning. This was a surprise. Sleeping was AWFUL. It was our anniversary so needless to say we were very disappointed. Its a lot of money to for extemely uncomfortable sleeping. We did a lot of hikes, and our plan was to hike a lot, and then relax in the coolness of our room. That didnt happen. Our sleeps were terrible. When I checked out, the manager was not available, and I was told a manager would call, but no call. Also, there was no assigned parking. The lot I was told to go to was full so i went back to the front desk and was told to drive around to all the different parking lots until i found something. The staff was super friendly and i enjoyed that. The facilitiea are wonderful. FaIrmont is a premium lodging and the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge sadly fell way short in my opinion. The Fairmont in Banff is much better.

Property is beautiful, great views and room looks nice, only problem there is no A/C in the rooms and the property. We travelled in July and it was hot (high 80s) so you can only imagine sleeping at night with no air conditioning, had to sleep with windows opened but didn’t helped much.

This is not our first time staying at the JPL, we absolutely love the hotel and how it is smack dab in the middle of the Jasper wilderness.
This trip started off a bit rough though. We arrived at 5pm (check in begins at 4pm) and were told our room wasn’t quite ready yet. No big deal. However, it took a full hour for our room finally became available. We were seriously unimpressed with this wait time. We did speak to the manager on staff and to make amends, they offered us a $100 credit each day of our stay. This was very much appreciated.
Our room was great: comfy beds, clean, and a view of the lake.
The pool and hot tub were amazing as always. The views are spectacular and we appreciate that the pool is heated. Kids and us spent hours there each day.
As usual, the food at the Great Hall and Fitzhugh’s were decent but definitely overpriced. We ventured into the town for most of our meals. Also make sure to get to Fitzhugh’s early as they run out of certain pastries by 9am and make reservations at the Great Hall, otherwise the wait is extremely long.
Overall, we love the whole vibe of this hotel, had a great experience and will definitely be back next year.

This hotel is not worth the cost. Our room was a standard motel room. It was small, which can be ok for our 3 person family, but it was not what I expected for the price. The door hit the bed when you opened it. The room was not well organized to maximize the size; for example there were no hooks to hang jackets, not enough plugs, one hook in the bathroom and a small vanity that didn’t have enough counter space. The air conditioner was a stand alone unit with ductwork venting out the window which took up more space in the room. That being said it was clean and it is a gorgeous location. I’ll note that it is not walkable to downtown / restaurants / shops if that’s important to you. Perhaps the value is in the property, but we spent 10 - 12 hours a day out and about in the park and wanted a nice, comfortable room to relax at the end of the day. This was not it.

The lake and the location is amazing! The room however is small. Also the water seems sticky, not sure if this is normal.
