This hotel overall was a very good stop on the outskirts of Lyon. Very friendly staff and a nice hotel. The only thing that let it down was room service. The food is not cooked onsite, but rather comes in jars and for €13 for a veggie concarnie in a jar with no rice, it was extremely overpriced. Would definitely stop again, but go out to eat.

Lovely hotel in a great area, central to shops and restaurants. Parking available too which is a massive bonus. My gripe is about the staff not the hotel and cleanliness or comfort. The receptionist had popped out for a cigarette when I arrived so I had to wait some time at the desk. When he did arrive he was convinced that he couldn’t find my booking. After insisting that I was booked and had paid the balance in advance he found my reservation. He was a tad rude and very dismissive. Housekeeping were polite,friendly and very obliging. This was a highlight of my stay. Checking out was actually worse than check in and took half an hour, making me late for my work appointment. I was the only client at reception so it should have been quick and easy. I was left with the impression that staff training on reception is not adequate. Nice hotel, great location, impressive housekeeping team but lack lustre front of house staff.

We have had an excellent stay. When we return to Villefranche-sur-Saône we will stay at BW plus Plaisance.

Not as close to Lille centre as it states member of staff said it’s an unsafe place to walk around at night. So we stayed in hotel as my friend is in a wheelchair. We could have getting the metro but not sure if it was disabled friendly. Overall not a bad hotel

Close to bars and restaurants had a family room with an upstairs so all five of us could stay in one room which was good and the breakfast was good value as the kids ate free

The hotel was convenient and well priced, we were landing at Lyon late in the evening so needed to stay somewhere with 24hr reception and on the way to burgundy. This was the best value option and served its purpose. The main reason for the not so positive reviews is the noise outside the room from 7am, there was a lot of very loud drilling that would wake even the deepest sleeper, this was not great since we had arrived late and were hoping for a good sleep to start our holiday.Breakfast was very average, I would probably venture outside the hotel if its not included in your booking.

The hotel has free parking. Staff was very welcoming. They had free apples for snack for guests. Ambience was very good. Our room was on fourth floor, had a very nice view. Room was of decent size. Nearby lot of restaurants are there. We tried a traditional french restaurant run by couple. They didn’t speak english, but they had menu in english. The food was great. There is lot of construction going around hotel, so we had trouble finding it. Lot of dust on the street due to construction. There is no ramp to carry heavy luggage inside the hotel from parking. We had to carry our luggage over a flight of stairs from parking. Overall our experience was good.
