Quick overnight stay while driving south… booked late, just one hour before arrival. Hotel is a typical business hotel, a bit worn. The floor in the room was incorrectly laid and had raised in all joints which looked and felt weird. The beds were excellent and the window could be opened for a very good nights sleep. The parking was ridicously expensive at 18 Euro with no other options availlable in the vicinity. Breakfast was very nice.

The room was too warm, and you can not sleep with the windows opened due to the noise of the trains (the hotel faces the rail paths). So, I did not have a good sleeps during the whole stay. And this is not good when you travel for work. The card to open the door did not always work. And everytime it didn't I had to go back to the reception. The kettle was not working and not repaired at the first request.

We stayed only one night and needed it only for a night sleep. There was no parking option except for the parking garage under the hotel. For this, again with no other option, they charged another 18 euros. Bad service!

Very professional and courtesy staff with multiple language speaking staff members. I believe the daily parking/diner rates are enormous and should be lowered

The room was great, neat and spacious. Yet the front of the building is outdated and as if falling apart. Staff is slow and ignorant of service. We have a non-working water boiler in our room to make coffe/tea. When we called reception, we were told to come down to hot water... wrong answer! In such cases you bring coffee up. When going down to reception fornhot water I was directed to the restaurant where I encountered personel that didn't seem to understand some basic English. After repeating my request I was directed to a machine to make my own coffee. When checking out I asked the lady at the frontdesk to make note of the broken waterboiler... she nodded and that's it... she didn't write down or make a note of it. Questionable service all over.

Staffs are not friendly

If you're looking for a place to get a restful night's sleep, Best Western and Plaza hotels are definitely not the places to go. I learned this the hard way after a recent stay at the Best Western Plaza hotel in Darmstadt. In the middle of the night, we were abruptly awoken by a loud electrical bang. It turns out there was an electrical hazard in the hotel. The noise was so loud that it was impossible to sleep through it (80-90db). When I spoke to the night receptionist about the situation, he told me to take some ear plugs. The problem wasn't solved until an hour later. Needless to say, it was a very disruptive and unpleasant experience. When we checked out the next day, the day receptionist was rude when I told him we were unhappy with our stay. He rudely threw us a free parking ticket and acted like that should be thanking him up for the terrible experience we had. I would avoid any Best Western or Plaza hotel in the future. If you're looking for a place to stay, it would be better to sleep in your car than stay at one of these hotels.

Great location, service and reasonable price

The hotel itself has it's age, but the rooms are nice and comfortable. Breakfast has a good choice. It's a bit out of the center, and the train is just behind the hotel. The room to the street are quiet.

Room temp was 78 degrees with the AC on full. Only will to comp one breakfast after a horrible nights sleep.

Clean business style hotel just a 5 minute walk from Darmstadt central train station. Comfy room and pleasant stay. Only frustration was the swimming pool is currently closed for refurbishment, something it would have been good to communicate in advance.

great hotel and nice cast inside ! They were nice and always here if we had questions. It’s near to the train station also.

Great hotel and stay, breakfast was fantastic. There was an issue with the main wifi, but reception provided instead access to their business wifi, so it was solved very efficiently.

We checked in late due to travelling from Italy. There was no room service available for dinner. The aircon in our room was not working - in summer heat temperatures, this makes the evening very unpleasant.

Experience was bad. Room was too hot, sked for help but no one was available. Guidance given was to open the window. In winter!!!! Also wanted few English tea bags, but was given only 1 and was informed as per policy ☹️😡

The restaurant food was poor, rice was under cooked and the soup was warm, not hot.

Loud music was played with thud thud thud , I complained to reception and then it went down, the next morning it stated again, I complained to reception only to be told that they had an event on above our room!! That spoilt our stay, the main thing was the lack of interest by reception

Nice and clean room

The hotel was so hot it was unbearable. The ac only works in the summer. The temp in the room had to be 28 degrees. If you opened the window, a train would wake up up about every 7 minutes. I should have realized there was a problem when I found earplugs on the bed at check in. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in the nearby of Darmstadt and good quality

Very nice and comfortable hotel. I had a room on side close to train tracks which kept me up the first night but they moved me on 2nd night and was great. Pool is wonderful.Breakfast needs a little improvement. Eggs not very good, sausages cold, not a great selection of meats for a German hotel.

Nice room and comfortable. Good service particularly in the bar when ordering my evening meal. Breakfast was a bit confusing in terms of how it was all laid out but receptions staff friendly and helpful. The only thing is if you are on the station side of the hotel, which I was, the trains are pretty loud. I stayed on the other side last time and will remember to ask for a road side room next time.
