Very comfortable room, clean

We found this property was lacking in cleanliness. We also had problems with the water - upon arrival around 10pm we did not have warm water from the faucet. The showers were also not hot.

The water in the shower was only lukewarm instead of hot, this was rather uncomfortable Cleanliness could be improved Parking should be free

Excellent room (Studio, King Bed, lake view), no restaurant due to Covid restrictions. Easy and pleasant walk to the Castle via Schlossgarten

Perfect night

The hotel was Very isolated because of several road contructions

I lived in USA and for that reason LOVED the fact that this Hotel had AC in the room what really helped me sleeping at night. The hotel is just outside the main area, 8 minutes by bicycle, from the center and the castle. So not really walking distance. But with the bike very easy to do. Hotel it self was pretty clean but at check-in told us that because of Corona, there would NOT be daily housekeeping in the room what is weird because all other hotels did have it on our trip. The Cleaning person had forgotten to empty the trash can in the room and when we told the front desk to get it emptied, it was NOT taken care off. I would come back to this hotel in the Summer because of the AC!

Maybe it was due to the current COVID-19 situation, but the stay was not very pleasant. The room was constantly at 29 degrees and when I asked after the first night, we were told at the reception that A/C is not fully working in the rooms. If they knew, they could have already told us when we checked in. Since our window was towards the railways, it was not possible to keep the windows open during the night. Even though the hotel seemed to be pretty empty it was not possible to change the room, because it was 'fully booked'. If that was due to COVID-19 limitations, they could have simply told us that, but 'fully booked' sounded odd. Besides that, there was nothing big, but many small things that summed up to a unpleasant stay. - Over all the room was not really clean. The carpet was the worst. My feet were dirty after I walked barefoot out of the shower. - All lamp sockets were pulled out when we checked in, so it felt like the room was not prepared - There was only one socket for the water boiler and a lamp for which I had to go under the table to change them if I wanted to boil water - The small round table in the room was not stable, so you could not put any beverage on it - Two different pillows and only one glass in a room booked for two persons - Shampoo was empty As I stated before, this was a stay while the COVID-19 was still an issue and might be caused by a short staffed situation. Nevertheless, for us, this was an unpleasant stay.

No AC! No cleaning! No toalet paper! Even after several feedback and mails nothing improved! My worst 7 days in a hotel ever!!! I had to throw all the bed sheets and garbage out in the corridor to be taken seriously by the hotel! 1 and 2 night we spended 3-4 hours until 3 in the morning to kill all the mosquitoes in the rooms! Non I’m our 7 nights did we sleep well: it was 36 degrees inside with no working AC! Receptionist and owner/manager didn’t listen to my requests to clean the rooms! On the fifth night we got offer to change our rooms but it was too little too late! We left on 7th day! Do not underestimate the level of comfort of this hotel: zero zero zero zero -> one 0 for every claimed star! STAY AWAY OF THIS PLACE!!!

Arriving at 13.30 knowing checking in was at 15.00. The reception said that even though we paid for at room at 15.00, checking in at 15.00 was not possible. Come back in a few hours he said. When coming back at 18.20 we were told one of the rooms would be ready in half an hour!!! But no explanation or even offering a fee drink at the bar while waiting. It was a very incompetent receptionist (maybe even worse since he was bad at English). The rooms were worn out and the fridge didn’t work. When calling the reception they just said they would not fix it and that we could put our drinks in the reception. Not really the point of having a fridge in the room! The rooms are fine but were outdated. Clean and nice beds. Breakfast is ok. Very average German breakfast. Staff was lacking a bit of service but we did end up leaving feeling full. How they are a 4* hotel I don’t get. Never staying here again.

The hotel is not so far from the city center. Our room was very nice - spacious, clean and comfortable. Only the receptionist was very unfriendly and even rude, which really surprised us. The girl on the next day was much nicer.

This hotel is hard to locate and really needs a car or taxi to get to a public transport is poor. Walking, notably from the station is terrible and the rear entrance is not signposted in any way. Anyway the hotel is spacious, rooms well appointed and the reception staff helpful. However we stayed one night and it was enough due to its difficult location.

The bed is too soft and the ac is working well. That’s all I can tell

A bit dated but great familyroom

Grande conference hotel, but still not too big. Clean spacious rooms - polite, service minded staff - delicious breakfast. Nice bar/ lounge for evening drink. Perfect situated in walking distance to the heart of the town -with all tourist attractions, the formidable castle and shopping street, restaurants etc. Parking garage for hotel guests under the hotel makes it easy to choose while arriving by car.

Great hospitality. Comfortable room. From the staff at the front desk to the lady who was in charge of the breakfast were so wonderful. One morning, the breakfast room was all of a sudden very crowded because of a huge group of tourists eating at the same time. The person in charge came to my table after they were gone to check everything was ok with me. This property is a bit off the center of the city, but I found a very beautiful cemetery just across the street that leads to a path around small lakes. These were some of my highlights of visiting Schwerin!

The Room was bigger than expected an we hat 2 king size beds, what was really nice. The service-team was really friendly and had a nice smile for us, when we checked in. All in all a very pleasant stay.

We were in the hotel only for one night. Our room was very large (even with a small kitchen), the beds large and comfortable and a very clean toilette.The hotel is at a walking distance from the city center, so we never used the local transportation

We stayed in a suite with a lake view and a balcony. The view was nice, but nothing special. The room was big and nicely decorated, but there was a persistent bad smell in the room, possibly the air conditioning needed maintenance.The public areas were nicely decorated as well.Our room price was very good, but it did not include breakfast or parking. Breakfast was a bit expensive, but selection was fine and we did not bother to go looking for something cheaper. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening. The price level for food was acceptable and we liked the taste.Service was good. There seemed to be lots of Spanish trainees working in the hotel, and they spoke good German. They seemed to also know English well.There was a supermarket approx. 10 min walk away, and it took maybe 20 min walk to the Schwerin castle. The castle was nice, but we liked Ludwigslust palace (approx. 30 min by car) even better.

Maybe we stayed during off season, but very few people were staying in the hotel. The restaurant looked like a ghost town. We like to stay at places that have activity!

Convenient to the city centre and castle, both only about a 15 minute walk. Only disappointing factor was the AC was out in the room, and it was summer with the sun heating up the room to unpleasant levels late in the afternoon.

We were able to walk to the main part of town and the parking made it easy to drive. Breakfast buffet well worth it. Our only problem was the air conditioning wasn't working and our rooms were on the fifth floor. As Americans we were not used to the heat. Staff was friendly and helpful. Next time would try for a lower floor

nice clean hotel with enthusiastic staff, comfortable rooms, fast wifi and good food. Bit away from all the night life but a lovely view over a lake.
