The virtual check in process is a good idea in theory, but not practiced well. The person on the other end was difficult to understand, connection wasn’t great, and didn’t have all of the info necessary to allow us to figure out where our room was. Didn’t tell us there was a second and third building- which is where our room was. After a long day of traveling, it just would’ve been nice to not have to walk through the entire building (and up the stairs with heavy luggage because there’s no elevator.) before realizing we needed to go somewhere else to get to our room. Hotel was renovated and looked fine until you looked closer- just slapped some low end finishes on things with a poor contractor to look updated. Overall it was fine for 1 night but I wouldn’t stay longer or stay again.

I’ve stayed her for the last two years and it’s been amazing. This year though there was ants everywhere. I had two other friends stayed there and they also had ants in their rooms, one was so bad they had to move rooms… to a room with more ants. Unacceptable.

I will not stay at this hotel again, even though the room and grounds were in top shape. The fact that I was checked in by a virtual receptionist was not acceptable. This possibility should be in the description when I was deciding to book. The person on the screen was very kind, but what would have happened if I needed assistance? There was no security .. the doors were open 24 hours. So ...stepping outside of my hotel room door might have meant encountering an unregistered guest!

They do not have a human being on site to help with any issues you may have. Also they do not clean under the bed…remote was missing looked all around for it and husband found it under the bed with an unopened beer, whole lemon and what appeared to be women’s underwear. Gross

The room is spacious, clean and neat. The only thing is the shower water takes a long time turn hot.

Very satisfied with my room no problem at all. Parking was easy and close to my room cleanliness great.

Front dest staff was nonexistent. Check-in was done via video screen. Lots of noise from upstairs rooms.

The walls are paper thin. At night there was a loud party until around midnight. Then around that time the room next door the guy was talking loudly on his phone around midnight, THEN around 3am the guy in the room next to me plays loud music for hours and I could not sleep. Called front desk and they tried calling him several times. Everything else is good with this hotel but major negative points for how paper thin the walls are.

Good budget hotel with a pool..the remote front desk agent was a bit creepy but that's the only complaint. Definitely recently renovated with some still in progress items.

Very clean and quiet and comfy

This hotel utilizes an automated check in which was convenient and early check in on cell phone made it even easier. You still have a "live" rep to talk to, and room keys were automatically generated. Only drawback to hotel is there is NO elevator, so if carrying luggage up a flight of stairs is a problem, request a first floor room.

I liked the location of the property as it was very close to my destination. It was also very clean and maintained well. I did not like being locked out on my second day, room not being cleaned and lack of wifi for my work. I didn't realize that I had to flop the door card for the room cleaning. The kiosk check in seems awkward.

The Kiosk check-in is awful. Worst experience I've have had at any hotel. Your customer service at check-in is not what I expected. I have stayed at this particular hotel on many occasions. California state law forbids any business to scan a govt id and store it in any system. After waiting 15 minutes to check cause there was no one there, not even the kiosk employee, I had a hard time communicating with the person in Columbia. Finally a young lady showed up and had me checked in in 4 minutes. I will probably never stay at this location again.

The room was large, clean and inviting as was the bathroom. Very comfortable.

For one night it was ok, but never saw any employees, had to use a kiosk to check in which the screen kept cutting out so didn’t understand half of what was said.

Area was very quiet. Our room was exceptionally spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is pet friendly however no signs of them outside. Pool area had newer furniture and very comfortable. We'll be staying tgere again.

The rooms were clean, easy access , however do not like robotic/remote check in, a live person is far superior, more timely and more personable.

Do not stay here. No front desk. Just virtual attendant. It’s an excuse to rip you off. I had to cancel 2 of 3 night reservation with 3 hours of the booking. They didn’t refund 2 nights. Or even 1. They are crooks.

Stay here instead of Sacramento.. only 10min drive.. and price is always great!

Good stay, clean, spacious room, smell good, good price, friendly staff, close to UC Davis, walking distance to restaurants. Will stay again if ever go back to Davis again. Thank you Prodigy hotel and staff

The virtual check in is weird, especially when there are employees working at the check in counter.

Our room had aunts and had to move us. And then my friends room had blood stains on sheets and manager never called as promised.

Very clean and quiet. Got there very late at night and manager was excellent:)))) quality at a good rate.

I don’t normally leave reviews but the customer service was amazing here. The lady working the front desk was very polite and accommodating. The rooms were are good size and had plenty of floor space for my 4 yr old to play with her toys. My daughter appreciated all the pool time!!! Thank you for a great stay :)

An excellent price for a good nights sleep

Our room completely smelled of cigarette smoke and there was absolutely someone smoking crack in the parking lot. There was no physical staff present. The online rep was very nice and knowledgeable but this place could really use in person staff.

We were in Davis for a Soccer tournament at the Davis legacy club fields. The hotel is about a 4 min drive so was extremely convenient for us. Check in was so odd, the virtual agent kiosk was hard to deal with. I could hardly hear the agent and it took almost 20 min to just get checked in. The touch less aspect of this hotel isn't noted on booking. They do have someone who arrived at 3pm to help at the "front desk" however that was short lived not sure how long they stay but by 5pm I needed a couple extra pillows and had to once again use the virtual agent. Who then called the man hiding behind the drape to get me pillows. He was tucked away in the office. It just is odd. Otherwise hotel rooms were very clean. Note - there are three 2 story buildings that they have for the hotel. No elevator to get to second floor. Which was fine but should be noted. Pool was in need of a good cleaning was clear but tons of junk inside it. My low review was purely due to check in and lack of a real person onsite. And check in process being so time consuming. We would stay again as price was hard to beat compared to the other availability for accommodation

Hotel was nice with good room amenities. The check-in was impersonal and quite bizarre. You have to use a virtual check in kiosk, no human contact, it’s a call center person logged in. There was a front desk personnel tucked away in the office.
