It is what it is. It’s a no frills place to stay. No ice machine, no coffee maker, no cups. Just a bed, shower and a place to poop. I70 being in the backyard so to speak kept us awake , but there’s nothing they can do about that.

Arrived at the property well within their hours and no staff available. Called on the hallway phone as instructed by a sign, a few times - no one answered. Rang a doorbell by their window a few times. No people to help check in. Found their number online - said it was no longer in service. I left - place looked like long time renters lived there and as a single mom with a kid - I did not feel comfortable at all to stay.

Better than expected

It was great for the price on a Royals homestand. The bed was amazing.

From the outside, the place looks nice. Then, you get to the service window, and it starts to seem sketchy. The attendant was friendly and inside a protected area. We took the elevator to the third floor, and it jolted so hard that the ceiling looked and sounded like it was going to fall in. This happened every time. In the room, there were used hair rubber bands on the floor, cigarette burns on the bath tub and toilet, shower curtain was dingy dirty, and the toilet seat was not attached properly. The bed was clean and relatively comfortable, floor was sticky, and the air conditioner was extremely noisy. This place has “extended stay” visitors living there, and a lot of the rooms are in disrepair, as seen through the open windows. We will never stay here again.

Arrived to check in, the exterior was run down. Room wasn’t clean, had a moldy smell. Area around the motel wasn’t safe & we were told by our Uber to not stay there again because it is unsafe. Will not ever stay there again. Security guards walking around outside in the middle of the night. Highly DO NOT recommend this place to anyone!

Upon arrival, the hotel was disgusting outside. Several people must live there, as they had all their stuff spead everywhere. Trash was everywhere and the building could us alot of repairs. After waiting 15min before anyone greeted and checked us in, We were put on the 3rd floor and told elevator was broken use the stairs in the back. The whole place stunk of pot so bad that we had to get air freshener from the store. I should have known better when i arrived and saw they keep security on staff. This place is not it!

The floors have not washed in a long time. The beds were very comfortable

HomeTowne studios by red roof Independence booked someone that walked up, in place of my booking through hotels.com. I’m out $100+ for a week now and couldn’t get a hotel several hours from home.

Room smelled like smoke, dirty and roach infested

The light in the bathroom did not work.therewere bugs, an ABSOLUTEY NO HOT WATER TO BATH OR SHOWER WITH!! THE A.C./HEATER BARLEY WORKED!!!!

The heater in the room was set at 90 when i walked in and it might have been 60. The hot water stayed cold. The shower head was missing and had been replaced with a mtn dew bottle. I checked out immediately.

I got there and they didnt have the double room i had booked they said the toliet was broken so they gave me two singles and then couldnt access 2nd room so had to be given a 3rd roomafter waiting over n hr then i came back on day two of my stay and couldnt access my room again. Luckily i got a full refund but other than that i wouldn't re book this place again if you paid me.

This is a rundown property, with neglected exteriors in an isolated area. You can see why it’s relatively cheap.

Hotel was under remodel; floors had sticky spots. Reserved/paid for queen studio and since they could not find my reservation, just gave me a double for the night.

I went to check in and was told I had no reservation, the hotel called me later asking if I was in my room and when I said that I was told no reservation was under my name they became unprofessional and started cursing, not at me but at the situation. Terrible customer service and terrible experience.

My non smoking room smelled so strongly of cigarettes we ended up leaving and finding a new hotel. We could still smell the cigarettes on our clothes even though we were only there for 3 min. The entire place had a very unsafe feel to it.

The shower didn’t have hot water, it didn’t smell the nicest, the worker at the front desk ignored me for 15 minutes.

Absolutely disgusting. Ceiling had a water leak. Kitchen sink had previous guests food left in it. Door did not lock

Got my reservation months ago. Hotel called an hour before check-in to say they were booked and could not accommodate me. Unacceptable. Bad business. Why bother getting a reservation?!?!

I hate to leave a bad review, but I hate more than I am covered in bed bug bites.

Not at all what we were expecting. had to last minute change hotels. the room wasn't ready for us at check in, and kept getting pushed back. People were doing drugs while sitting in their doorways. The staff was very rude and less than helpful.

We were pleased by the condition of the room, but we did find roaches crawling under the fridge-they didn't bother us. Had to use the elevator when stairs would have been more convenient.

On the surface its clean but dont look to hard. Pillows smelled like cigarettes. Floor i bit..."ick"

There are to many shady things about this hotel to list them all. We decided we would rather take our chances driving 3 1/2 hours back home at midnight than staying in this hotel.

The check in process was easy and the front desk manager was very nice but seemed to be overwhelmed. I checked into my room which I found the sheets were not clean and had bugs( roaches) in it! I immediately reached out to the front desk to let her know the issue and I returned right away with the keys to have the room canceled as I was not going to stay there in those conditions. Spoke with several people who were very nice and now I am just waiting for a refund. Very unfortunate that this happened as I was left as an out of town guest to scramble to find somewhere to sleep.
