The facility has lost its touch over the years. In terms of cleanliness and facilities in the rooms. IBIS Barking is not what it used to be. The rooms are dirty.

Location was good for us but the room was a bit smaller than we would have liked

A quick walk from Barking tube. Simple and clean with a good cooked breakfast. Continental breakfast a bit restricted

Was a great place to stay, just make sure your pulling into the right ibis hotel. There are two next to each other.

Stayed here when in for an eye appointment at Moorfields (Okd Street/Moorgate). Very easy to get into town, quiet, cool on a summer’s day and pleasant stafff. Would stay here again.

I am a regular customer at this hotel the service i recieved from the black lady with the glasses was absolutely horrendous. I have showed her my booking and my ID yet she did not believe i had made a booking even though i showed her confirmation even got to the point where she told me to email my confirmation booking to her i am a member and have paid some serious money to this hotel she lacks customer services

The property is well placed for convenient rail access and car parking to enable travelling around. The staff were very pleasant. The one drawback was no safe in the room.

Good quality in terms of price. Rooms simple but everything you need in there. Staff seemed quite slow and unresponsive. Car park was £8 a day which was annoying but not the end of the world. Breakfast was nice and so was restaurant. Exactly what you need for somewhere to crash after a busy day.

A decent hotel with friendly staff that was in a convenient location for work at a good price for the area.

Easy check in and out. Hotel easy to find, overall very happy with our stay, only downside is they only provided one extra pillow.

A Pleasant stay nothing to moan about

I would like to bring to your urgent attention my total dissatifaction and bad experience i had during my stay at your hotel over the weekend. I spoke to a lady in the evening of 4th May 2025 who checked me in about the case and she told me the previous customers must have been the ones. I informed her the room was a having a strong very bad smell of being smoked in!!!!! She acknowledged it and said they would send a team with a special machine to make sure the smell is removed. I informed her i came for holiday and am not happy by this and now i had to leave the room due to the bad smell and went and stayed out longer to avoid it. On Sunday afternoon i asked her to please send a team and that the smell is sooooo bad while i was again moving out. To my suprise when i came back that night on sunday. It was still there. I had to try to sleep with the windows open, with alot of discomfort totally not happy!!!!!!!!! In the end i could not sleep. I was having a very unpleasant smell with in the room and bed!!!! While doing the check out i raised my concern and the gentleman at the desk told me he coul not do anything but also told me the girl had not left any info on the handover about this case! This is not good customer care and service plus follow up!!! His name is Jasim for reference. He told me to write to you for a refund. It was an average hotel. We had payed for breakfast however they stopped bringing more food out at half 9 when it was meant to be 11. So unless you are full up from a small portion of eggs, 2 bacon rashes and a piece of bread and a sausage you might need to go earlier.

The Ibis London Barking was more like a budget hotel. The room was not equipped in any of the basic necessitates and the room was dingy, boring, outdated and looked more like a student dorm. The corridors smelt like something had burnt and possibly had damp. The breakfast was fine, but not a lot of variety. The overall experience was poor to say the least and reading up on the differences between all of the 3 types of Ibis hotels, I will not ever consider booking at an Ibis again.

Booked a family room with double bed and a single bed, arrived into the hotel enter the room with a SOFA single bed, duvet was wet, poor service and very rude staff. Very noisy unable to sleep the staff didn't tell other customers off to keep volume down after midnight. When we requested for a dry and clean duvet the staff expected us as paying customers to put the bedding in. Not happy never returning to this OBIS hotel been to better IBIS hotels with same star rating and better staffing.

Fire alarm went off. Fire exit door did not open. Good job it was a false alarm! Disappointed about the communication and care regarding the fire alarms sounding.

The property and location served the purpose of the trip and the price was reasonable for the stay.

As always never disappointed staying at this location although there was an issue with some of the other guests which made my.stay less then ideal but the staff were amazing

Useful location allbeit walk to tube can feel edgy but had no issues at all when we did. No decaf coffee in restaurant but in room did not make sense. Will book again however
