I thought the hotel was slightly overpriced for a Best Western. Hotels.com showed an $85 price but i was charged $98. Otherwise, the hotel was good for a quick overnight stay. It was clean enough. We had plenty of hot water and a decent shower. Breakfast was average hotel fare. Parking was tight.

Overall, positive experience. About 3.5 overall. BW Saluki Inn was mostly what I needed for a one night stay. And what I expected -- convenient location, quiet, secure, generally well-kept. It was a tad more expensive on this weekend than I would have expected (i.e., a bit less of a value for this particular property in the town in which it is located). Staff was very pleasant. The one thing that stood out as less than positive was the front parking area, which seemed oddly laid out and not very convenient.
But that is relatively small in the scheme of things.
negative would be that It was (Simple touch: it would be helpful to have a sign on upstairs floors pointing to the elevator, since it is not visible from the hallway.)

we weren't able to use the pool because it was closed. The breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The maintenance man was tried but did not solve the problem with the televisions. He was able to get one of the Tvs to work correctly but the other one wasn't.

I often stay at the Carbondale Best Western when visting my son and grandchildren. The MAIN reason for this hotel is cost and the pool ammentie for my grandchildren. Well i showed up again to check in on June 21 and wouldn't you believe it but the pool is AGAIN out of commission. If i had to put a rating on how many times its DOWN. I would give it 90-95% of tge time its doen. I wouldn't have bothered too juch but it was my granddaughters 3rd Birthday and wwhen she found out we were at the hotel - she immediately said, "grandpa
I go swimming at hotel" only to disappoint her AGAIN because what is listed as an amenitie, was not available. This WAS and WILL BE the LAST TIME i EVER book at the Saluki Best Western, if any BW.

Pool was not in service. The room was a nice size. I noticed the tvs were dirty, looked as if someone spat on it. The bathroom couldve been cleaned better as well.

The room was nice and clean, we had no complaints. The a/c worked well. The bed was comfy enough. The pool was closed however which was weird we weren't alerted about before since it was summer time, but I guess there was no way for them to tell us. There was an attached but independent bar, it was pretty cool you could enter it from the hotel so that was pretty cool. It's close to a lot of local places if you want to go get some food or delivery.

Was dirty, sheets smelled, beds were hard, and staff was borderline rude. When we told them that we were getting bit in our sleep, the gentleman who checked us out ignored me. Will never stay or recommend this hotel again.

The best part was definitely breakfast, it was a good place to stay any problems got fixed as soon as possible and everyone was very polite. Problems we had were getting locked out of our room for about 45 mins in the middle of the night, and the TV remote only works when your right next to the TV, does not work from the couch or from the bed. Overall besides those few things I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Average. Stayed for the breakfast, I like waffles but not when there are no toppings and they even have a sign on the wall for the topping station. Syrup barely qualifies as a topping station. Now the picture of the waffle with whipped cream and strawberries- that would have qualified!

It was great. Nice room, very clean, good climate control. TV had an issue but self corrected after about 15 minutes of self test. Furnishings are nice and breakfast was served in some good heated serving containers.

Check in was a breeze. Room was spacious. Comfortable bed. Quiet. The one weird thing was that tub had a hole in it which had been taped over. Odd. Did not affect shower. Would stay again.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel is old and need of some repairs, but clean. Pool was out of order. Breakfast was great.

The first room that we were assigned had torn carpet, dirty bathroom, and was generally shabby. The second room was better and clean, but the toilet rattled the pipes every time it was flushed. Also, the paint on the walls does not reach all the way to the baseboards. There were empty boxes in the lobby, and one of the exit doors has the trim rotting off. This hotel is okay but needs some care and attention to detail.

The first room on the first floor that was assigned to me had a window lock that cannot be locked. It had been torn through the metal stile. I was shocked someone would even be assigned such a room. My second room was a bit dirty and maintenance in general can't keep up with all the issues. You can tell extensive repairs and maintenance has been donen (caulking and painting), but the conditions are so bad with water and moisture damage they really need to start a remodel.
