We visited for 3 nights for Husband’s 40th. Lovely traditional style hotel, wonderful staff with great attention to detail. They noticed that it was his birthday and gave him a song and dessert. The spa is good, just the thing after a long walk. Centrally located but quite too. We loved it and will be back

Lovely helpful staff, all areas clean, really good relaxation areas-indoors and outdoors. Excellent food, breakfast and dinner. Unique and historic building and furniture. All local amenities at your door step. We should have chosen half-board!

A traditional family run hotel with a feeling of Austrian heritage. The hotel offered a summer card which was a real bonus and allowed free us of local transport and access to local attractions. Our room was lovely- spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and staff very helpful. The restaurant was very pleasant, but we felt the bar area could have been better staffed to create more atmosphere. All in all a very nice hotel in a good central location for the town.

Beautiful hotel in a great location central to the town. You have to wind your way through a few little streets to get to the hotel. Great on site free parking was a great bonus. The hotel is hundreds of years old and is in a beautiful traditional style in side and out. The check in was easy and the staff were lovely, all dressed in traditional costume. Room was big and well equipped. Kettle and cups, tea/coffee but no milk. There are lovely gardens to sit out in and a lovely indoor/outdoor pool. Unfortunately for us the weather was not good enough for us to give it a go. Spa is nice with sauna (nude and clothed parts). We did spend the afternoon in the spa but the pool was too cool for our liking. Breakfast was wonderful - plenty of choice with omelettes, fried eggs, bacon and sausage cooked to order as well as plenty of cereals, fruit and salads. The hotel allocate tables to guests which we thought was quaint but we felt a little out of the hub of people as we were set aside in another room with 2 or 3 other families. Think it was to do with separating out half board from b&b. We didnt eat dinner at the hotel but it was buzzing for dinner but dead by 10.30. We loved the lazy daisy bar just a short stroll away, great food, atmosphere and position. Zell is beautiful but we were surprised at the number of visitors from the Middle East , appears it is a favourite with Saudi and UAE visitors looking to get away from the heat. Great to see but just surprised.

I booked the honeymoon suit and we got a water bed which was not comfortable at all. When told the owner to change it she said they can't change it and if I'm not happy I can check out and look for some other hotel. Since it was high season and i didn't want to risk looking for other hotels so I agreed to stay in same hotel but had to sleep on floor for 6 nights as me and my husband couldn't take the water bed which was so uncomfortable.

Pretty cozy hotel. Tourist card included was a seeerious money saver! Got awesome freebies! Free cable cars and entrances we used during 2 days worth more than a third of what we paid for the hotel.money I'd have had to spend otherwise! Zell am See,though.. won't come back during summer anymore cos it is NOT an experience of the Austrian vibe. Had I googled before I'd have gone elsewhere.

This hotel is right at the heart of the city. Everything is walking distance and there is a lot of free parking for hotel guests. The people, especially at check in, were great and went above and beyond. When we stayed here during the summer, they also have us a complimentary town pass that have us access to a variety of activities. This was a huge benefit! Would highly staying here!

We liked the hotel very much. The staff was really friendly. They had a nice spa area were you could relax. We also ate at the hotels own restaurant and the food was excellent.

Very clean, very nice staff, very good breakfast, very good location. Cosy SPA and outdoor pool. Only negatives were the pillows (in bed) and no air-condition. We recommend this hotel!

The hotel was fine, but our room was in a separate building and we were disturbed at night from patrons in the adjoining hotel and in the morning from deliveries. Plus, no bar fridge, on a hot day. Otherwise ok.

The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming on arrival, we were soon in our room, although the room was not quite what I thought I had booked it was very well presented. At breakfast there was lots to choose from. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The only slight downside was the shower in our room, it would change from freezing cold to boiling hot and back again constantly. The hotel has an arrangement with a ski hire company near the city express lift which means that you can store your hired skis and boots there at night, it would be quite a mission to carry them back to the hotel everyday! the hotel is ideal for couples.

We had a great stay at the Romatik hotel, a family run Inn in the quaint village of Zell am See. The room was large and comfortable and the reception area was warm and welcoming. Everything about the Inn exceeded expectations with the exception of the music that was playing in the dining rooms and in the Spa area. The food was good and plentiful and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Charming hotel in an excellent location, good on-site parking, easy walking distance to all attractions, clean and comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, and service that is sincere and efficient. Great value for money spent and highly recommended.

Located in centre of Zell am See so easy access to everything you need. Our room overlooked quiet Street so occasionak traffic noise with open windows but effective double glazing shut that out at night. Lovely food in the restaurant and huge choice at the buffet breakfast.

Great location, close to everything and convenient parking. The hotel staff was very helpful with suggestions for activities and made us comfortable speaking English. Simone at the front desk was exceptional. Reasonable price, great breakfast included, and an activity card which gave us free entry to many local attractions including the gondolas and boats. The room was fine.

The hotel location, garden and exterior decoration is amazing, but the room and the toilet is below than aspected comparing with the price. the BED: pillow and the Cover is not romantic at all.

I stayed one night before the ironman. It was great. I used the spa afterwards. The chef even cooked me my special pre race meal.

I recently stayed at the Romantikhotel for a skiing holiday with friends who had booked earlier and were staying in a different hotel. I simply couldn't recommend this hotel enough! The staff were very helpful and attentive (they spoke English perfectly, which put me to shame as my German is very poor!) The hotel has a beautiful restaurant, bar, pool/games room and a spa. The spa comprises a swimming pool (which is half indoors and half outdoors), jacuzzi, sun beds, rest areas, sauna, steam room, etc. You can also go there for massages & beauty treatments. Towels and Dressing Gowns are in the rooms, and everyone comfortably wonders the hotel in gowns! My room was very spacious! It was split into bedroom and lounge, which had a sofa, chairs, table & telly! I also had a balcony, so was able to sit out there & smoke. The town itself is very scenic, surrounded by mountains and lies on the edge of a beautiful large lake. There are a number of ski-hire shops in town, however, a mobile-bus pulls up outside the hotel. There is a ski-cellar to store skis overnight and the mobile-bus will collect them at the end of the week, so no having to take them back yourself! The food each evening in the restaurant was "interesting". They often had Austrian specialities and I gave a lot of these a try. Was please that there was nothing I didn't like. If you are there as a couple, the name of the hotel speaks for itself, but single people and large families will feel very comfortable there too.
