Well, it was a warm shower with a bed and blankets. No fluff. A little pricey, but it is Taos. We were able to park outside the front door each time we left. Breakfast was coffee/tea, cereal, fruit, yogurt and waffles.
Upon walking into our room, the lights were on and the toilet "sanitized" cover was askew, so maybe someone took one look at the room, used the bathroom and said no thanks! There was hair on the bed and no remote or local channels to watch, once I figured out there was a button on the TV to turn it on. Our door was a little rickety, but had that security arm to hold it when we were inside. When we came down the stairs the next morning, there was an open can of beer on the stairs.
But like I said, no frills. if you need a shower and a place to rest your head, this is your hotel.

I am disappointed with the hotel, I will not be staying there again. I could write a list of bad issues if I had the time. One good thing was an employee who could see for himself the problems did his best to make the stay better.

Terrible experience won’t stay again

Not good. Not only was I charged by hotels.com for the stay but super8 also charged me. So that is over 300$ for 1 night. Super 8 has said they will refund me but it’s 7 days later and I am still waiting. Additionally I checked this morning and it appears that they charged again instead of refunding me the original.

It was a higher price than usual for a Super 8, and the check in staff was great. The room was adequate, but floor was dirty. There also wasn’t an elevator, and I am having trouble with stairs. At breakfast, the guy was late putting it out, and rude to guests. And the ice machine didn’t work. Very disappointing.

There was NO problem with cleanliness. The staff at the reception was always super helpful and putting up with our many questions. The breakfast bar was full of variety.
Our only small issue was that the room was ice cold when we arrived BUT THANKFULLY we were able to turn off the air conditioner and from then on we were just right. We had a pleasant stay and would choose it again if we came to Taos again.

The security lock on our room door was broken, As though someone had kicked the door in. There were dead bugs and dust throughout the room. It was filthy. There was a fungus growing in the fridge. The grounds were unkempt and all the trashes were overflowing. The outer doors to the hotel were deteriorating and literally crumbling in our hands. The safety in the hotel was completely sketchy because of the exterior doors. We were told in Expedia that pets were welcome but when we got there there were no pets allowed signs everywhere. What a horrible experience for our splurge vacation. I’m so disappointed.

I would not recommend unless that was the only place available! The cracks on both sides of the door were so big you could see the hallway and as pictured the big gap at the bottom of the door. The hallway and lobby was filthy surprisingly the room wasn’t as dirty as I expected. No im not being a Karen im stating my honest opinion. I read a lot of good reviews that weren’t true! Also be prepared the whole town shuts down at 11 and doesn’t open back up until 6 so get your necessities before 11pm including food not even a gas station was open.

The attendant that checked is in was nice. We did ask if we could check in an hour early only to be told it would be an extra $35. The bed was comfortable and the room we stayed in was 121 which the ac worked well, the water pressure was not good for the shower. Also other guest don’t know how to read the signs by the exit door by room 121 all we kept hearing throughout the evening into the night was that door opening and slamming. They need to fix that door or reminded each guest to close it quietly. It was quite annoying and we just left at 6:30am. So if possible avoid room 121.

Dirty, depressing, rude counter help. I’ve machine, broken. Safety latch on room, broken. Bathroom wall, unfinished. Everything was dirty and one of the mirrors was suspiciously hung. Good in lobby for breakfast, awful.

Friendly counter people. They accommodated my friend and I on the first floor so we didn’t have to carry our luggage and stuff upstairs. The room has a fridge and microwave. It’s a basic room, but was clean. The bed and pillows are decent. Not the best, but not the worst.

It’s conveniently located for me as I enter Taos from Las Vegas NM. Clean & the price is as reasonable as expected in a tourist town! The ice machine was out, but I asked for a cup of ice water the next morning & they easily took care of me. I stayed here last yr at this time & will next yr.

They gave us a room literally by the back door and right next to the vending machines that are not in an alcove. The back entrance door was broken so we heard massive door slammings all night. No hot water, only luke warm and shower only let about 1/3 water come out. Corners were dirty, tub had gauges in the finish which looked like roaches and made me jump. Very run down and in poor management. Will NEVER use this motel again!

I tried to check in 8 minutes early and was told there would be a $35 charge for that. When I came back 30 minutes later, I was told that the room might not be ready, but fortunately it was. There was a disgusting brown stain on one of the white bath towels.

Knew it would be a problem when we checked in and they tried to put us upstairs when I asked for first level when making reservation. He then said all the lower level rooms were taken. Then came and said they had 2 queen bed room for an upcharge. I said ok. Got the room and was just being cleaned which was ok but didn't get some of the stuff done up.
Also the ice maker didn't work and had to go to desk and get the ice bucket filled.
So, with that said, I wouldn't book here again.

I stayed at this place for 3 nights and requested the first day for the room to be cleaned. There were toe nail and skin clippings inside one of the bed sheets and on the floor. There's no blankets, on the top bed cover and the curtains would not remain closed. I requested the place be cleaned everyday and was told that the housekeeping wasn't listening to the person working the front desk everyday. It was a dirty room and made for a terrible stay.

Amy provided excellent customer service.....warm, friendly, courteous, and accommodating! Room was nicely remodeled and very comfortable. Staff is very honest. I forgot a rosary and wooden cross under my pillow and the staff saved it for me so I could go back and get it which I did.

To get to our room we entered on that side back of the building. Several times the door, which was supposed to be locked 24 hrs, was blocked open with a rock. Also in our room, the security lock was broken. Our fire alarm monitor in the ceiling flashed about every 5 minutes all night. These were brought to the attention of the front desk.

I arrived less than 10 minutes before check in and had to wait or pay $35 extra and the. Wait like 15 minutes after check in time due front desk poor customer service. At the time of check in they were doing all the cleaning on the rooms they even have some areas of the main hallway flooded. Thankfully my stay was only for one night. There was no tissue paper, one used towel hanging behind the bathroom door and the list can go on. Do yourself a favor an pay a little extra, customer service and quality is not the highlight on this small town.

Terrible. Took thirty minutes to be helped at reception by an absent front desk person. It was not clean and it was obvious by walking in. The room smelled badly, there was no blanket on either bed- literally a bottom sheet a top sheet and a sheet that looked like a top blanket. I was freezing. The smoke alarm on the ceiling blinked all night. Worst hotel I’ve ever been to.

TV volume control does not work. Only 1 TOO LOUD level.
No water at desk food area. No fountain. Tap water too chlorinated ( but not Super 8fault, of course).
Good news...
AC works well, Fridge cold.
All this for $118 per 1 Thursday night....
