For Golf.

The 3 day stay was very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and approachable. hotel looked very clean The only fault I would say was that the restaurant was aware of my allergy to Shellfish and The menu said seafood curry and listed fish that it contained, however on receiving the meal, found prawns were in the dish. This issue made my last night awkward for staff and myself. it spoiled our last night .

Liked - mushroom burgers in restaurant; disliked regular burgers Liked location near golf; disliked room fittings - no shower caps for ladies; no line in bathroom to hang smalls; new upgrades done with average materials; seating in rooms and beds was HARD High variance with staff- some excellent; some untrained; a management issue?

Me my daughter and grandaughter had a i night stay with breakfast we had a family room which had 2 double beds and quite spacious it was overlooking carpark so a bit noisy theough the evening . Bathroom had shower over bath with a bath screen which did leak a little Check in was quick and easy , my grandaughter and myself went swimming early afternoon i was quite surprised as the pool was smaller than i thought it would be it was busy but not over crowded The pool area was a bit tired looking and so too the changing rooms with only 2 cubicles for changing and my grandaughter being 11 needs her privacy so we had to wait for one to become free. Again most lockers were broken or missing keys Breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked You had continental, choice of cereals and fruit salad you cooked your own toast and they had machines for coffee, tea etc Service was very friendly and helpful Checkout was 11am and 12 on a sunday Will certainly be back

Loved our visit and the golf. One of my favorite destinations.

I am vegan and I was made to feel a complete pest when I asked for a vegan breakfast. The attitude of the staff was dreadful. I had phoned up before booking to check they could provide a vegan breakfast and was told it wouldn’t be a problem, they got that wrong.

Lovely stay. Spacious family room with 2 double beds as well as some seats for relaxing in. We had breakfast in the hotel which was great. Lots of choice of continental and cooked breakfasts. All staff were friendly and professional. The pool was lovely with hot tub, sauna and steam room. Changing room could do with an upgrade as looking quite tired.

Good location, The rooms need refurbished as they are showing there age. Breakfast was nice but very limited, also alot of building work being carried out so many areas unaccessable.

We got an email for an upgrade to a junior suite with a view and we got a similar size room, no bath and they started cutting the golf course grass at 545am, I barely slept after that

It was rather disappointing as we have stayed there before when we enjoyed a first class break ten years ago. The hotels was in the midst of a refit to the reception area and some of the restaurant and function areas were under construction. On top of this this was work done to the roof which was just outside our second floor bedroom. The hotel did notify us of the update work being done, however we didn't realize the extent of it and the hours when the considerable noise and disruption would apply. At least the food was good!

We played golf on carnoustie, so it doesn't get any more convenient then that as to the hotel. Very nice room, spacious and comfortable

I think we got a great deal because there was renovations going on but that didn't disrupt us in any way. We had a gorgeous room overlooking the golf course with a beautiful sunny aspect and french window with a balcony rail. We also used the spa and had a FABULOUS massage which was so indulgent. We made great use of the swimming pool, sauna and steam room which were wonderful too. The only minor irritation was the phone in our room didn't work but we just phonedreception from our mobile and the wedding guests were quite exuberantly noisy returning to their rooms opposite in the small hours after the function, but that can happen anywhere. Overall we feel really lucky to have had such an affordable lovely stay in an iconic olace

Relaxing time with wonderful views over Championship Golf Course

Last minute trip to Carnoustie and another great stay at golf hotel.. even though going through renovation not a bad experience.. a shame the restaurant not available but overall an excellent stay..

Bar was closed due to private function - would have been good to know before booking. Not a huge issue as the hotel organised a list of good bars and restaurants in the area with map and contact numbers. Would stay here again - room was beautiful, staff were lovely and breakfast was really good

I think the suites could be more of a suite rather than a larger standard room. I have stayed here for many years and usually choose a standard room. On this occasion i decided to pay extra for a suite. It was literally a larger room with a settee in it. I would have expected a few little luxuries (i.e bottle of water, laundry bag, a fan - due to the heat in the room, a larger T.V).

Very clean well ran hotel, our family room was spacious , comfortable with everything we required The staff were all very helpful and friendly especially with my 4 year old granddaughter who had an exceptional stay
