Marine Troon was a great place to stay.. Rooms were clean and well presented.. The staff were all very polite and helpful and a pleasure to deal with.. The building is a great place to be and breakfast was a delight. I would recommend Troon Marine to anyone..

Lovely stay. Pool was excellent and staff very attentive. The room needs a little tlc. Wood damage and shower cubicle cracked.

Restaurant staff need trained better, this is supposed to be 5 star hotel, concierge was excellent as were the check in staff.

Absolutely fantastic hotel

Stayed for two nights in July. Hotel was very comfortable, excellent bar/lounge area and leisure facilities. Walkable into Troon or taxis very quick and reliable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loved our stay!

It is a really beautiful hotel with lovely bar/restaurant and great spa facilities and treatments. The rooms are the main let down - they are small and mostly in an extension off the back of the main building. Our two rooms overlooked a car park. One of the rooms had a very distinctive smell of smoke, only had one bath robe rather than two, and had a blocked sink which prevented it draining at all. I reported all of this to reception who brushed it off and didn’t take any action or offer any remediation. I would have expected a slight reduction in our bill, at the very least. A real shame for what was otherwise really lovely stay.

Really lovely hotel. The bar is a great place to eat/sit and we played a few games of pool. The room was nice, although a little warm even with the windows open. Coffee and milk wasn’t refilled when our room was cleaned which wasn’t ideal for a lazy morning. Food at lunch and dinner was really good, a nice selection of bar food and restaurant options. The only thing that let the hotel down a little was the service. The waiting staff were nice enough however drink orders take a really long time. You can also wait quite a while to be served at the table, we had breakfast in the seal bar as we were visiting with dogs, we waited 20 mins for a menu/drink order before I went to speak to the guy at the bar. We would return as the setting is lovely and it’s great being so close to the beach.

Lovely property right on the water. We stayed here for its proximity to several historic sites but it's a mecca for golfers from all over the world. Just happy we were not there for the British Open madness! Staff were lovely and the restaurant was top notch.

What a place! There’s a good atmosphere building in Troon just now with The Open due in July, and the hotel is no different. Spend the evening on the terrace having drinks in the sunshine, overlooking the 18th and watching players finish on the last hole…outstanding. Staff were very welcoming, attentive and provided excellent service in all areas….bar waiting staff, reception staff, concierge, breakfast room staff. We ate in the casual bar and the food was brilliant! Steak, chips and Malbec…delightful. Would highly recommend this hotel for couples, small groups and golfers. They would clearly cater for families but I’m not sure it’s really suitable for small kids, as it’s quiet, relaxing and quite boutique-like.

I think the hotel is beautiful, i think the rooms are lovely however too small and the doorway leading into the bathroom far too narrow. I do not consider this as a spa destination, it has a basic pool, its for kids, its not relaxing. The food in the hotel is nice but the continental buffet for breakfast is very basic with a poor selection. The staff overall are nice however the door men let it down, they are selective in their pleasantries, based on appearance i feel.

Had a wonderful stay, will definitely visit again. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was a bit small but very comfortable. Food was excellent, with very good gluten-free options for lunch and dinner (although less so for breakfast). Dog-friendly bedrooms and lounge bar.

Stayed 3 nights on a golfing trip. Great location, comfortable old style hotel, super pool and health club. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Solid 4 stars for me.

Property was good but not worth the the price. Room was small and nothing really special about the room.

Found the room small & dated looking for the price paid. Was clean but not very modern looking, views aren’t particularly spectacular when you only have two thin windows to look out, cupboard space is large & good but becomes pointless when there is shelves where you would hang your clothes. Paid for late check out but left early due to noise outside of room from other guests & cleaning staff, I know it is busy but feel we could hear everything. Unimpressed with check in, was attending a wedding & pushed for time, was made to wait for another guest checking in who had went to their car for their card, then when finally served was asked for full payment of our stay which I had paid already when booking, didn’t believe me until she read the screen again & finally spotted that I paid through Expedia. Attended wedding else where & seen a room or two which seemed to offer a lot more value for money than we got here.

Super helpful and the facilities were great. Would stay again.

The service and all the staff were very welcoming. The major thing that let things down was our very small room on the 3rd floor that we paid a lot of money for. The room had no drawers in it to place your clothes, the cupboard that was also the wardrobe had no space to place your clothes as there was an iron board and 2 hotel robes already in this space and these items filled this space , there was no where else to put these items in the room! Our room was also a sea view! There was one small window that you could see the sea, I wouldn’t describe it as a sea view and pay extra cash for it. Lovely hotel with great staff but our stay was spoiled with our sub standard room.

Stylish & comfortable. had dinner in The Rabbit, limited vegan options so server asked chef if he could make something else as they were quiet. A delicious linguine arrived. He didn't need to do that but it was greatly appreciated.

Fabulous, warm, friendly welcome and service in sumptuous surroundings. Superb dinner and amazing breakfast with stunning views over to the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig.

Stayed with 1 year old and dog. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. We used the pool and gym, and those were well maintained and nice to use. Food in both restaurants was delicious. Would recommend.
