Unfortunately, this is the second time we've been woken up at 8am without being asked (despite the "Do not disturb" sign on the door). The cleaning ladies just knock. WHY !?? That is not funny.
Another disadvantage is the beds. A queen bed does not mean two single beds put together. Hence the negative rating. All in all too expensive.

The room was definitely very clean. You might even say crisp, like freshly laundered linen. If I had to make one quibble, it would be that the weatherstripping at the bottom of the shower door was not watertight; we found that we needed to avoid letting water splash on the door, in order to minimize the amount of water found on the tile floor on the by the toilet.
While not large and spacious, we found the room to be satisfactory for our needs; not the least bit cramped.
The free Wi-Fi was disappointingly slow and laggy; in this day and age, having free vs fee-based tiers makes as much sense as having lukewarm shower water for free and hot water for those willing to pay extra.
The breakfast offerings were quite generous and diverse. And being able to have espresso was a very welcome thing. Somewhat related, I was happy that there were 2 espresso machines; it seemed one of them was in maintenance mode one morning, so it was great that there was still an option for espresso/cappuccino/etc. Regrettably, we didn't take the opportunity to try the evening restaurant offerings, although we did retire to the lounge for drinks a couple of evenings there.
For anyone curious, the nearest streetcar stop seems to be the Marktplatz station, which is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. For those unfamiliar, we used the DB Next (Deutsche Bahn) app to order and use tickets for streetcars and trains on a daily basis there. Highly recommend.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Hotel was extremely comfortable. Breakfast expensive so didn’t take it there - good options nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Room was clean and cleaned everyday.
My only issue was the heating and ventilation system. Minimum temperature in all the rooms was 18C, which is rather high for me to sleep in. Plus the system was a bit noisy. I am a light sleeper though.
I left the window open until I slept which worked ok.

We’d actually thought we were booking a different hotel for this stay and only realized once we’d arrived that we were staying somewhere else so my review is based on the realigned expectations!
The room and the hotel offered exactly what you need for a straightforward hotel stay - a firm yet comfortable bed, decent water pressure and temperature, and clean…so no complaints at all there.
I probably wouldn’t plan to stay here again though as it’s a bit of a walk (not at all unreasonable though) from the shops and restaurants so doesn’t have much of a lively and nice holiday-type feel outside the hotel. Good if you’re there for business or visiting something in the immediate area though.

Staff were excellent. We had a minor problem with our first room but were moved immediately to another, equivalent room and were very happy with it. We were a little surprised at the above average surcharge for our dogs, but without pets the price would have been excellent and for us it was still good value for money.

They insisted we visit one of the rooms to make a decision on whether we wanted to take a second (adjoining) room or whether we would be comfortable adding a single portable bed into the standard room. After a quick inspection, we were comfortable to add the additional portable bed and keep our family together.

The hotel was excellent, and the rooms were excellent except for the toilet/bathroom door which was transparent which was not ideal for a family sharing two rooms. The hotel was less than 10 minutes walk from the center of Mannheim. FYI, Mannheim is a very industrial city, full of immigrants, we chose it only because it was close to another city we were visiting - Worms. We didn't feel comfortable walking in the streets especially not in the dark.

I stayed at a single room for three nights. It became definitely one of my favourite hotels.
As I booked the room a few months in advance, I could stay there with a very reasonable price (AUD 65 per night). But the room offered much more than the price. The hotel is located closed to the main shopping streets in Mannheim and easy to get around. The hotel staff is mostly friendly, efficient and very polite. The room is very clean and well equipped.
