This was our second stay at the Old Bridge. Staff are amazing, spotlessly clean and staff attentive on clearing tables quickly. Great location with free parking. We had a room in the eves that was a trek to get to. Poor shower that kept running hot and cold whilst using it. Got back to the hotel at 10.40pm to be told the bar was closed and staff had gone home, rather poor service for residents of the hotel.

Nice stop over, good bar and restaurant smart with great food, however the bedrooms are in need of a bit of a revamp and also due to the age of the building very squeaky floors so like us if you had a early riser in the room next door very noisy Great breakfast though.

Staff were excellent and attentive and the breakfasts were good. Our room was comfortable if a little small and generally clean , although the tv remote was filthy and there was a lot of black mould in the bathroom. Bar closed a bit early even for guests.

Arrived 20 mins early for check in and was told in no uncertain terms to go away and come back after 3. Room okay but had two people try the door with a key during the night so maybe better signing of the numbers could be adopted.

Bar only open until 11pm even for residents. Stayed in room 25 upstairs were so noisy really creaky floors. Breakfast was nice but the service very poor no social skills and 1 speed slow

Everything about our stay was excellent including meals and staff friendliness… The only downside to our visit was that our room (19) was on the back of the Inn directly opposite the Holmefirth Tavern (public bar) which had table and chairs outside, with music and shouting going on until 00.45am and then waking us up at 04.45am with lots of banging, such as table, chairs and barrels being moved around. This was such a shame because we had enjoyed the whole experience and was looking to return at some later date, but sadly we will not be returning anytime in the future.

An excellent hotel right in the middle of Holmfirth with the buses just seconds away. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. There are breakfast options and I was able to mix and match my choices when needed. Excellent choice of evening meals and Sunday lunches at very reasonable prices. A nice and cosy bar area with good selection of wines and real ales. The building was once a small woolen mill - hence the propensity of sheep pictures adorning the walls. Adjacent is the Picturedrome (once an old cinema that now hosts live gigs most Fridays and Saturdays) - The Old Bridge often gets booked up months in advance on these days as a consequence. Fans of 'Last of the Summer Wine' will find Sids Cafe and The Wrinkled Stocking (i.e. Nora Batty's steps) only seconds away. If you're stuck for ideas the staff at the Library/Tourist Office are very helpful and can offer advice on many things including excellent walks (weather permitting) and local history/archives. Don't forget to visit the graves of Peter Sallis (Cleggy/Wallace) and Bill Owen (Compo) just up the hill (St John's Church).

Excellent service and great food. Car park a bit tight if you’re in a long wheelbase van as I was, but otherwise all very good.

Everything was really good. Unfortunately the person in the next room kept their TV on ALL night and caused me a migrane.

The staff were very friendly especially at breakfast. The big issue is the walls are as thin as paper and a Woman next door was coughing all night very loud and sounded like she was in our room..!!! you could hear them talking and even putting a spoon in a cup...!!

We really enjoyed our stay , our room was lovely. The only thing that spoilt the room was scaffolding on the balcony. They where having the roof repaired but the scaffolding came onto the balony and obscured our veiw . It would have been lovely without such a shame it wasnt mentioned when we booked through experia and discount offered. The hotel itself was lovely and modern and the food was excellent and staff lovely. Would highly recommend.

Great property only issue was my room im sure it was the broom cupboard was that small had to squeeze into the shower not a good experience the staff amazing so friendly and professional they should be proud of them perfect for music venue back in December 15th for concert.

The Old Bridge Inn offers good food and comfort in an old building on the bank of the River Holme. The setting is picturesque. The location is particularly convenient for the Picturedrome venue adjacent to the Inn. The Old Bridge in offers good value in a small town with character.

In the heart of Holmfirth, The Old Bridge hotel is extremely convenient for those attending concerts next door at the Picturedrome. The hotel was having work done to the roof when we stayed (9th Aug 24). Even so the stay was comfortable. The room we stayed in was small, but fine for the one night we were there. Good breakfast and polite friendly staff.

Convenience to venue next door.

It was a really good holiday in a great location. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The parking was free if you can get a place which we did luckily we obtained a permit from the hotel to display in our card window. The only issue we had was that the roof was being repaired and scaffolding was around the place. Our roof had a balcony cut unfortunately we could t use it due to the scaffolding which was a shame. Would love to return once the works have been finished as it will make the place even better. The breakfast is extremely tasty the drinks although expensive are amazing. Thank you for making our stay special and yes we will return sometime hopefully in the not too distant future.

Great location

First hospitarity was nice,I liked the cute interior of the room.When I was in the room,I could hear the sound of the river and it was quiet.I thought it was a waste that i only stayed for one night.

Great staff went out of their way to make sure that you had a great stay breakfast was amazing cold buffet had everything you could have wanted and the hot breakfast varied from a full English to a bacon or sausage sandwich cooked fresh for you while you waited. Evening meals were very nice also. Location wise it was at the centre of everything Sid’s cafe was literally opposite the hotel! I’d definitely recommend a stay here to anyone

Great stay in the centre of Holmsfirth surrounded by more quality eating and drinking options than you'd expect for a small town. The hotel is clean and comfortable albeit the rooms aren't the largest but they're still okay. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
