Nice property, too bad the beach area is so small
5.0 / 5.0
The location was remote, not conveniently located to a town. Road was dangerous to drive at night. Hotel did not have a lighted sign at the highway, so I went past the turnoff on 2 occasions, almost causing an accident when I pulled off to let cars pass so I could turn around.

House keeping staff was friendly, bed hurt back. First few nights had no hot water. Hotels.com room i picked was not the one i recieved. Did not know where to go with check in, cars were in every direction, mass confusion.

Rooms are basic. We had 3 twin beds in ours, small shower but good amount of counter space in the bathroom. The property grounds are nice with some activities if you stay on the resort. The pool is great with the kids. There is a beach but the swimable area is very small due to the breaks over reefs. The buffet dinner is not worth it. They limit the beach towels exchanges to one every 3 days - I'm come on!

We really liked the variety of dining and relaxation options! Classify this as a resort with many different amenities available!

Unless you rent a car you will be isolated as no other restaurants are in the area. There is only ne restaurant on site and it has one menu with no specials offered. The food was okay but after 7 days, it got very tiring looking at the menu. There is also a snack bar and buffet. None of the meals were included. Resort didn’t tell in advance it wouldn’t supply soap for room. Beaches were okay. It was a challenge not speaking French. We knew this and were ok with it but it would have been nice to see the resort’s description of special activities written in English.

very mediocre service with not much attention to the customers

Beautiful property, rooms were cleaned. Only issue is plant growing on the concrete, paint peeling in the hallway. Little cosmetic things outside the room would be great.
Also we paid for cleaning (there was that option), but before we leave you have to throw out your own garbage... That's a first for me and I travel about 6 times a year and stay in hotels.

Fantastic! Lovely location and very helpful staff.

We had to walk up many flights of steps or step grades to get to our room, wish we would have known that as I have a bad hip and wife has a bad knee. The kitchenette was nice, but always full of ants. The language barrier, we only speak English, was a challenge most of the time, we found a good app on our phones that worked well to translate. Nice pool area, nice beach area. The opening and closing times of the store, the gym were strange.

Beautiful resort with 2 great pools and two beaches with lounge chairs, manicured, lovely garden setting and amazing views from the rooms. It feels spacious and open, not at all crowded although the main pool can get a bit crowded in the late afternoon. Each day they had presentations/activities for the kids, 2 restaurants for lunch and dinner as well as a snack bar by the pool for pizzas and sandwiches. I was surprised by how nice the facilities and grounds were for the price of the rooms. There is not maid service or toiletries provided but there is a small store that sells everything you may need and you can stock your small kitchen and make your own meals if you wish. THere are also 2 actvities desks that will book snorkel or scuba trips and other sight seeing activities. It is a bit far from the main towns, but you can easily take a taxi or rent a car. I definitely recommed the hotel!

We were given a room right above the lobby, and facing the pool and patio. There was live music being played til 11pm that might as well have been performed inside our room. The staff refused to give us another room that night, and we had go back two more times the next day to get another one, despite there being vacancy.
It is also a long and expensive taxi ride to the villages of St. Anne and St. Francoise where all of the restaurants and shops are. There are no outside restaurants within walking distance of the resort, and the ones owned by the resort always seemed to be closed. The cafeteria food was not good. We ended up going grocery shopping and keeping breakfast and lunch in our room.

Meh! Sums up this resort accurately. Kinda old and un renovated but clean and safe. AC in the rooms is OK but never gets cold enough. No nightlife to speak of as its a quiet resort but thats OK. Bingo night had the best turn out but was over by 10:15 sharp. Room was cleaned once in a week which wasn't a real concern til the precious 1ply TP ran out and only over 24 hours later with 4 requests was it full filled. Bartenders are great if they speak English. Tons of cats, if you like stray cats. Guadeloupe is unreal with so much to do outside the resort. If you need a cheap place to stay and are eating elsewhere then this is the place to come back to and have quiet drinks on your kitchenette terrace with the cats. Otherwise look elsewhere.

Loved the smaller pool! Deep enough to do laps and we often had it to ourselves. Setting was nice! Beach nice with enough deck chairs available but it was not suitable for swimming. Our apartment had seen better days, but was functional. Bed was very comfortable. Locking the sliding doors to the apartment was a challenge!! The Creole Buffet style restaurant was a bit of a rip-off!

The rooms are very tired and the resort definitely needs some renovation, the wifi is pretty much non existent but the staff is nice. And they also have a great restaurant on the beach.

Dirty bathrooms, cockroaches, none of the amenities listed online.

Everything was good, big room nice terrace, wi-fi, helpful staff on the reception. But they didn’t clean our room 5 days even didn’t throw away the garbage and didn’t change the towels

The pool , beach and restuarants are on site. That was very convenient. The bathroom had a little mold on the ceiling. They don't empty the trash outside until you leave. The breakfast is not bad, but not enough cereal options. Lunch and dinner is very good. Entertainment is very good. You don't have to leave the site to have fun. All the fun is onsite.

This is more of a apartment set up. Food on site is limited and very poor. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay. No beach towels are available if you stay less than 7 days. we rented a car and the car parking on site was inadequate for the number of vehicles.

We celebrated Christmas and New Year's Eve. The first week we lived in a part which was in need of renovation. The balcony was to the southeast, so the mornings were too warm. Would have appreciated a curtain or a parasol or a fen. Second week we lived in a renovated flat with balcony to the south, much better. The gym was closed and was not so well equipped, the tennis court was closed, big disappointment. Played tennis in St Francois. Everything was in French, incl. entertainment and brochures. Even all the TV channels were French. At Karaoke nights, French people sing only French (terrible) songs. The beach was good, but not so much for swimming, more for sunbathing. Buffet restaurant was good and worth the money. Parking was OK first week, but overcrowded in the second week. Staff was friendly, especially in the reception, and some could speak English quite well. Mostly families with small children or young couples, our boys (20 and 23 years old) had few other in their own age, WiFi did not work for 3-4 days, something wrong in St Anne they told us. Last day we ate from a food truck and two of us got sick.

This place is perfect for worldly travelers with children. We rented a 2 bedroom apartment. It came with a small, well equipped kitchenette on the veranda. Perfect for cooking meals with spectacular sunset views and star gazing. Housekeeping services were provided with towel exchanges in the middle of the week. Pretty fabulous as most apartment rentals don’t provide such services. Staff was courteous and made efforts to communicate with those not fluent in French. A phrase book on hand or the ability to speak a few basic phrases will get you far. The beaches have loungers for the guests. The waters off them were calm, shallow and clear- perfect for young children. There Is a variety of pools on the premises that cater to all ages. There is also a small grocery on the premises. You can order fresh baguettes and croissants.

This is a great place to stay if you are travelling with children. There are several pools, two of which are perfect for small children. In addition, there are two very nice, small protected beaches. Evening activities can be a bit loud if your room is close to the main building, but the noise never lasts very late- everything generally shuts down by 10. There are three restaurants, but be warned- they are only open during very brief periods and are oriented more toward French meal times (which can be late for American kids).

The hotel is dated, the rooms are sparse, but clean. The kitchenette is a nice feature, but the hotel doesn't provide sponges or soap, presumably because there is a store on-site. The prices at the store were competitive, and pretty well stocked. The beds are hard, and pillows are lumpy and our room only had two small pillows in it. The comforters were pretty used, not that gently. Very little English spoken by anyone at the hotel.
Our first room was above the main pool area. It was so incredibly loud until 11 PM that our room was vibrating. The noise started right back up at 7 AM the next morning. When I went to the registration desk to ask for another room, I was dismissively told that there wasn't one, and that there was no way to know when the music would end, or if we could expect it to happen on other nights. Unfortunately, the rude woman who provided this "information" didn't have a name tag on. We were told the next morning by another person working reception that there was a room and she would move us, waiving the cost ($25!!!) of housekeeping. Make sure you are not in the main building by the pool if you want to sleep before 11 or past 7.
There is limited housekeeping provided - something like 4 days for any new towels or straightening. There are only 2 towels in each room. Pool towels areunder lock and key. The beach is quite nice. The wifi is a joke.
Shout out to Jessica and Murielle at reception - they were very helpful.

The grounds of this property are huge and beautiful. The beaches are beautiful and clear. However, you must wear water shoes because they are rocky, though. The restaurants were very expensive and the food was "ok". We recommend you either cook or eat in town. If you don't speak French, bring a translator as not many speak English. Some do, Rudy and Muriel at the front desk, were great.
If you have problems walking, this is not the place for you. As I said, the property is very large and you have to walk everywhere, including taking your own bags to your room when checking in and back to the lobby when checking out. A lot of stairs and hills, but you'll be in great shape when you leave.
We are definitely returning next year because we loved the Island and the property, but we will be more prepared. There is no housekeeping services, your towels do not get renewed and once your toilet paper runs out, you must buy more yourself. That was a surprise to us. When we return, we know what to expect, we'll come prepared. We will definitely learn some French before returning.
Best restaurant to go -- Les Pieds Dans L'Eau in Saint Francois.

We stayed for one night to discover Sainte Anne and Saint Francis. Although we made it late, they were still opened which is not always the case. the room for convenient, typical hotel rooms in the guadeloupe/ Martinique area. As an avid traveler and an american I have learnt how to lower my expectations compare to what we are used to in the US.
This is a very bog place so don;t expect the service to be personnal or for the front desk to accomodate all ur needs. You will need a transportation to and from there. Traffic to the airport from here is HORRIBLE! don't let the distance fool you.We missed our flight.

The facility is quite pleasant with a few provisos. There is free WIFi, but ours only worked for a few hours as far as I could tell. Due to our lack of French, I didn't think I could really explain the problem to the staff so I didn't even try. The resort is self-contained and really caters to kids and families. If you want anything else, you need to drive there. The shower is totally open and wets the whole bathroom floor, so be careful as it gets very slippery.
Despite having neighbors all around us, our room felt very private and was very quiet. The outdoor kitchen and dining area was a very nice surprise.

We tried to communicate by e mail 5 times before we arrived to arrange airport transfer. NO REPLY.
Even when we sent e mails via head office.
On arrival there was only one person on reception and nobody to help us with our cases to our room which was a long way from reception.
The room was small and dated. The micro wave didn't work and nobody seemed interested with any complaint.
I asked for upgrade but nobody seemed interested.

My wife and daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is very isolated and you need a car to get around. The staff was nice but no one spoke Very much English. The beach and the pool are the highlight of the resort. They were both great and beautiful. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. I loved that they were apartment style. The food on the resort was very expensive and not that good. It would have been nice to be able to communicate with the staff better and not feel like outsiders, everywhere we went we can hear people saying that we are Americans. Other than that we made the best of it and it was a great place to stay. Clean and safe place to stay

The hotel was relatively affordable, about 15 min from the town of Sainte-Anne. The beach on the premium side of the resort was rocky and had sea urchins so it was not very pleasant to go in the water. The pool on the main side of the resort was very large and had a restaurant and bar nearby. I recommend driving into Sainte-Anne and going to the beach in town, it is gorgeous and much better than the hotel beach. It was nice having a kitchen area, and would be great for a family that doesnt eat out. The room, however, smelled very musty with the air conditioning on and the a/c wasnt very strong. The bathroom was very outdated. All in all, an affordable resort but they need some serious renovations to really make it a desirable resort, especially given its distance from the town.

Pierre Vacance (Guadeloupe) is a nightmare. Do not fall for the beautiful photos of ocean shown in brochures. The management of this place are filled with contempt and bigotry.
The so called buffet makes you feel like you are being served the sort of food typically served to animals on a farm. You basically had one choice of protein to eat and that was the cheapest form available in abundance (shark meat). But the price they charge was at filet mignon rates.
There are not irons in the rooms. The full population of guest at the 'resort' must all share using a single iron attached by cable wire at a communal laundry room. never seen such backwardness in my life. place feels more like a prison camp than a resort. A 1 or 2 star north american hotel would put this place to shame.
all i can say is do NOT go. save yourself the emotional pain and financial loss.

just came back from staying 5 days at above. While the exterior of the hotel is very nice (nice pools, garden, sandy beaches have a lot of rocks in the water), the bedroom of the studio was OK but the outdoor kitchen was dirty and in bad condition. No cleaning service was provided for the 5 days, was available with a surchage the day we left because it was school vacation in France and more people were there. Lots of young children. good location between Ste Anne and St Francois. Front desk personnel was very young, not very helpful and I speak French. Will not return at this location.
