I made a reservation with Expedia for one night (7/26/24) but when I got to the Days Inn by Wyndham Santa Maria; the room was not what I expected and the worst thing was that the chemicals they use to clean were so strong that I couldn't even stay a minute, I started to get a headache and wanted to throw up... I explained to the person who helped me and the manager why I was canceling and they told me that they couldn't refund my money because I made the reservation with Expedia. I spoke to Expedia immediately, and they told me that they understood and that there was no problem with the refund. Two days later they called me (Expedia) and they only apologized and the only thing they could do was give me $25.00 and I rejected it from $178.00. I would not recommend Expedia or Days Inn by Wyndham Santa Maria at all.

The property claimed that they would have breakfast, We were notified on check-in that there wouldn't be any breakfast. It should have been clearly said in the property details/amenities, it was mentioned that. "Breakfast Included". The microwave handle was broken in all three rooms, and there was no shampoo or conditioner in the bottle in the two rooms. The bathtub curtain was ripped. We were scared to sleep in the room thinking if it had any bugs :(. We are contemplating not booking hotels from Expedia since it provided inaccurate information. I want Expedia to be aware of the blatant lie given by the property so that a fact check can be done. Please let me know if any additional details are needed.

Overall a nice hotel and easy stay. It was clean, centrally located, and perfect for a quick 1 night business stay. Breakfast wasn't much, just some prepackaged muffins and coffee. Didn't swim but there is a pool. Grocery store right next door which was convenient.

I hope the staff do their best regarding cleanness. The walls and doors need to be wiped. They used excessive amount of "pinesol". That odor was annoying. The owner or administrators need to do something about maintenance. Furniture looks scratched and old.

The manager was very friendly, the room was okay, there was a nice refrigerator and microwave, the towels were low quality, housekeeping forgot to leave any towels one day and forgot to make the bed another day, lots of parking, quiet area.

Was pleasantly surprised, room was clean and would definitely stay again.

Mildew in shower, toilet wasn’t stable, broken screen, thin walls

While this hotel was a budget-friendly option, the cleanliness wasn't up to par. The provided sheets had visible signs of prior use with stains and hair, and I had to inform them of a severe allergy before they were replaced. The breakfast cafeteria was unfortunately lacking in basic amenities. The chairs appeared unusable, and there wasn't even enough coffee available for guests. It's worth noting that the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient. Perhaps more frequent room checks and ensuring a well-stocked coffee station would enhance the guest experience.

Honestly I wish I had my money back … horrible room service guy wanted a credit card not debit which was wierd from the get go ! But yeah room was dirty . Was trash in one of the trash cans wanted to iron my clothes and it was stain … if you guys can credit me something back … would be great I didn’t even spend the night here …. I slept in my car that how bad the room was didn’t come back till 5 am to grab my stuff ….

I didn't want to mention something but till now I have been having issues.i left my room and reported that there was bed bugs and got bit all over..I e been infected by those bites till this day and I didn't want to say anything since I stay here a lot but if I'm having trouble still and I stayed at this hotel a month ago like to see some kind of reimbursement since .I'm still affected by it and worried.i really home they closed off that room and cleaned it.the bed was infected in one corner

The rooms look old and the cleanliness could be better. Lots of noise outside as well. People yelling at each other and lots of activity outside at night. The free breakfast didn’t have much either.

Front Desk was always occupied, ck was very easy. And they don't charge you that $100 to 200 room security deposit.The other hotel I have stayed at when you book them and already paid for stay at. Ck in they hit you with extra. They have room service every day. Nice little contintental service with pastry fruit coffee and juice. I enjoyed it so much decided to stay another 7 days

Watch out staying at this place they charge $150 for a deposit and it's a dive. they waved that deposit fee for us which we thought that was strange and when we went to our room we checked it you for bugs and cameras and sure enough it hit on a couple spots so we took a picture and take a look at this guys don't stay here this guy shouldnt be in the customer service industry. he will not let you have ANY company at all ! he's rude and the place isn't all that comfortable. it is loud, no bathtub , cheap furniture. he's strict on some things but other things he let slide that shouldn't. waste of money wouldn't do it again. We found this with an anti spyware device. It pegged all the way on this (and other) outlet. It should include 3 wires ,hot ,common and ground. This has at least 2other wires with heat shrink as well as other components. The night security guy said the place is wired for sound ,"cameras everywhere" and not just in the parking lot! No wonder you can't have any family or friends visit! They must not want those extra sets of eyes.

Hair dryer in room did not work. Good value for the price

The location was very convenient. Our flight was late so we arrived at the hotel/motel late. The night clerk was sleeping and did not want to be bothered to check us in. Fortunately the room was clean. Housekeeping staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The furniture was old and coming apart. Outlets were oddly located and there were no USB ports. There was only 1 bedside light and only 1 additional light in the room ( except the bathroom). There was a band practicing across the street 2-3 nights while we were there. Thankfully they stopped playing before 10pm. The shower was odd. The shower head came out of the ceiling and was immovable. Could not shower without getting hair wet. On a positive note, there was plenty of hot water. The grab and go breakfast consisted of coffee and prepackaged danish. We got our coffee from nearby eateries. The location would be hard to beat and the price was in line with our accommodations. Not sure if we would stay here again.

It was the smallest room ive ever stayed in. Especially fot being a 2 bed. They said they had a full breakfast. It wasnt even an average continental breakfast.

Manager let a big rig park and run for 5 minutes at night E side with a lot of fumes coming around my bad fitted door upstairs.

The room was a bit shoddy / furniture was worn out looking / room smelled of cleaning agent / beds were comfy enough for a one night stay/ breakfast was the bare minimum of a packaged sweet roll and juice. Ambiance was truly lacking / most likely would not stay here again.
