access to the beach was the best!!! Great breakfast

Hotel was very nice and staff was friendly. Only thing was that the hotel was old and needs some repairing. Also there was a lot of dust, so it wasnt well cleaned.

Everything was great except the Air Conditioning at 0330 in the morning. The room got warm for about an hour. Other than that, this is a great place with great views and in a great location

Very close to the beach!

We stayed in a superior room that was spacious, comfortable and had a large terrace with sun loungers and a sea view. The hotel is set in the side of a cliff and parking is tricky. However, the concierge were very helpful and parked the car for us. The breakfast was superb with a huge choice of hot and cold food for only 3 euros per person . The reception staff gave us some good restaurant recommendations. We found Spotorno to be charming in an old fashioned way. We would return to this hotel if visiting Spotorno again.

Some pros, many cons; they could do much better. Reception: almost never smiling; check-in was a bit 'ryanair-mode', a lot of extras (parking, 12€; beach towels, 5€; breakfast, 3€); room was spacious but sea view was an euphemism since the old building occupy 80% of the front view (get rooms 82x or higher). Service was hit and miss, same for cleanliness. The beach club was ok, I liked it but it pales if you think to other beaches in the mediterranean. Won't go back; I'd rather spend more for a great service or less to a 3* w/ no frills.

Overall nice experience at this hotel with stunning view. Above main coast road, across from beach - hotel has elevator to go down to road. Friendly staff and room was clean.

Had a Fabulous time in Sportino really lovely room overlooking the bay. The staff couldn’t of been nicer really genuinely kind and friendly. Lots to feast your eyes on in the locality. We will be back.

We had a lovely time here in one of the best rooms. It was sad that the beach closed the weekend we arrived (17th September) as we might have chosen another hotel had we realised. Luckily the beach next door was still open as we came mainly to swim and relax. There were a few coach parties overnight, but as we didn't eat in the hotel at night, this was not disruptive.

I've passed a very nice journey liked this hotel I think I'll come back next year

Nice location and friendly staff. Very nice spacy rooms even that we "only" have the comfort rooms. Pool area is not well cleaned during evening/night and need to have more attention. Parking on hotel premises is very nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful bathroom. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very good.

We were very happy with our stay and the proximity of the hotel to the beach. It is slightly on the edge of the town so there is a short walk to the centre which was not an issue for us.

Nice view...but room very small and hotel antiquated

Lovely hotel on the beach with amazing view. Rooms are new and clean, breakfast is delicious and various. Hotel staff was very friendly, they gave us the upgraded version of the room that was really nice.

Pool was too green with algae to use.wifi only works in the lobby.thats the bad news.The good news is that the room was clean,the bed was firm and comfortable and the breakfast was ample.The staff were great.

Perfect hotel for a beach holiday in Liguria. Well maintained hotel, nice pool, clean modern rooms (at least in the new section where we were) and surprisingly spacious for a European hotel. Friendly service at the restaurant, desk and at the private beach.

When Aqua Novella was built in the 50s it must have been a spectacular hotel. While it does need some upgrading - it is still a good hotel. The breakfast is one of the best I've had in Italy - the views are breath taking and the service is very friendly.Our only gripe is that the rooms shown in the photos, did not reflect the room we had - it was small and there was not enough room to swing a cat in the bathroom. The shower leaked and the toilet cistern needs maintenance.We would go back to the hotel but would expect a better room- which they do have.
