Aware that hotel is currently undergoing renovation works but noise began at 730am. Room was fine although bathroom could have been cleaner. (mould on tiles in shower area). Reception staff were lovely but bar staff need much more training for waiting tables and general service. Had to ask for a drink with dinner, ask for cuttlery, ask for condiments and no clearing of dinner plates or dessert offered.

For a late booking, The hotel was great 👍, Would certainly be back in the future.

The staff in the hotel were fantastic. The room was a little dated but I understand tgey are currently undergoing a refurb. All in all very happy with what we got for the price. Parking was an NCP carpark which wouldnt accept Mastercard on the app which was a pain but got sorted in the end.

Room too tight

Excellent location. Only complaint was loud voices from guests returning at midnight; 1.00; 2.00 and 3.00 in the morning.

Was an okay stay for just one night but wouldn’t stay any longer. At first glance looks lovely but there’s little things mainly the beds were so uncomfortable.

The hotel itself is located near a busy road so expect traffic noise. The staff were great but let down by the state of the rooms. The shower did not work in my room and it was really hot in there. Breakfast had a very small selection avaiable. I will not be staying here again.

Really disappointing stay, paid £300 for 2 nights in a building sight. Leaking shower and toilet, no electricity on arrival and no explanation. Would not stay again. Extremely disappointed

The property is conveniently located within walking distance of Derby city centre. NCP car park is located behind the hotel.

Staff were wonderful, but we had an executive room that was in a poor state of repair to the point that the fire safety information had to be reattached to the door. The list of defects were really high from holes in the carpet mismatched furniture door strip on the bathroom door coming off to name only a few. If this was an executive room the mind boggles what the standard room must be like.

The hotel is in great location but very much in need of refurbishment which is currently in place but a lot of work is necessary to bring it up to standard. The frustrating thing is thet the wifi did not work at all so i was unable to do any work. I should not have been charged full rate as wifi was not working. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff at the hotel are excellent, really friendly and helpful. There is parking onsite which is reasonably priced at £4.95 for 24 hours. The hotel itself is ok however in need of some investing and a revamp. The rooms are basic with the furniture showing a lot of signs of age and general wear and tear.

I recently stayed at this hotel over the past weekend and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival on Friday evening, I was allocated a room which had not been cleaned from a previous stay.l. The real frustration came when I discovered a major room assignment mix-up. Despite being assigned room 246, the reception had no record of me in that room. It turned out they had given me the wrong room when I was moved, causing confusion for both myself and other guests. This led to a situation where guests who were supposed to be in my room were left waiting in the lobby, while my belongings were in their room. Additionally, despite paying for parking, finding a spot was a nightmare upon my return on Saturday evening and only one very tight space was available upon arrival. This level of disorganisation and lack of communication is unacceptable for any hotel, and it seriously impacted the overall quality of my stay.

this was an interesting find for me to do a review my husband booked the room for a one night stay back in February he told me it was a nice room unfortunately he booked for 2 adults and i wasnt with him on this stay so i think knocking shop is a better description

Hotel was good but room let down by size of shower. It was very tiny and you struggle to turn around in it

Hotel was fine. But I did have one little niggle. In the days leading up to the stay I was bombarded with information and reminders - far too many. When I checked in I was then asked to fill in an information form asking for, among other things, my email address. It is inconceivable that the company did not know my email as I had been sent many emails all week. Just a bit of joined up communication would be useful and save time. Other than that I was happy with my stay and I appreciated the help of staff in holding my bags for a few hours before check in.

Great location for sightseeing and centre of Derby, clean and comfortable but full of families with screaming children running around above us late at night, and early in the morning .

Check-in wasn't a smooth process as the hotel did not have any record of my booking on their system since it had come from Expedia. Took a while to get resolved. Room was fine but I was given ground floor rather than first floor as I'd requested when asked. Made the best of it as it was just one night but would have preferred an easier check-in.

Despite the renovations going on it was a nice quiet and comfortable stay. But....please mo e the toilet roll dispenser ftom the side of the toilet to behing the door!

At about 7.45 for an hour building work on the new tesco shop within the hotel started. There was no reason this could not have started later. I complained to the girl on the desk (she was fine it was not her fault) and she said next month when you come ask for a room on the far side of the hotel.This should have been offered when we arrived. Maybe next month we will book into a hotel that puts its guests first

Good trip nice staff

I booked several rooms for work and all of the rooms were very similar. The bedroom we mainly ok, but the bathrooms were old, very tired, in desperate need of refurbishment. Parts of my bath had worn away, tiles were cracked, holes around the bathroom Suite fittings, and generally not very nice. A dirty towel from a previous guest was left hanging up behind the door. The walls are very thin, I could hear everything from the adjoining room. Another colleague had water pouring in by the closed window as it was raining all night. The beds were fairly comfy and breakfast was good.
