The property was in a great location in the Waterbury, VT historic village area within easy walking distance of several restaurants and breweries. As for the inn itself, the service was excellent. I especially appreciate the dining suggestions from Courtney. And lastly, the breakfasts were phenomenal.

Unique is a great description, and this is exactly what we were looking for. First, the Old Stagecoach Inn building itself has plenty of character, starting with the front sitting area that encourages visitors to talk / read / work on a puzzle with a cup of tea / coffee / lemonade. The character extends to the rooms, which each have a different style, and we followed the description to specifically chose one with a "more romantic, historic feel". Second, the breakfasts were incredible, and encouraged us to indulge far more than we should have. There are full restaurants that would not have produced the quality of these meals, and that is another benefit of staying at independent properties that take pride in their work. We got to know the staff fairly well over just a few days, and not only to unique and character apply, but we felt welcomed as guests in a home rather than customers. Waterbury itself has a lot to offer for a quiet getaway, with plenty of restaurants in walking distance, a great bookstore just around the corner, many boutique shops, as well as Burlington, Montpelier and Stowe just a short drive away. I hestitate to post such a glowing review, because the last thing we want is too much competition when scheduling our next stay.

The staff are phenomenal! The history and loveliness of the inn is breathtaking! The food is so delicious and we enjoyed being here so much!

It is a great place to stay with your family. Good Breakfast as well. Located centrally with so many resturants and tourist attractions nearby.

No tv and wifi a bit weak, position sensitive on the desk. Faucets turn the wrong way. Staff exceptionally considerate. Food exceptional!

Lovely hotel, very pleasant and helpful staff. Monday and Tuesdays many restaurants are shut but the staff advised and assisted accordingly to my requirements.

The owner is amazing, I booked the wrong date and she still allowed us to stay and was as nice as she could be. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and plenty of options. A hidden gem for sure!!

Very nice staff. Easy check in. The room I stayed in was clean, albeit very small. That wasn't a problem as there was a great deal of room downstairs to sit in comfort. Coffee was available all night, as were cookies. I left too early to eat breakfast, but I've read from others that the breakfast is excellent. I shared a bathroom. It was clean and comfortable.

The room was not ready, no pillow cases and not clean. Few little house guest already in the room. Spider in his web and a beetle flying around. Very small bathroom in an expensive room. No shower curtain but was installed after we mention it. Sink had a crack and was tiny. No space to put your toilet stuff in bathroom. Day time host was not professional buth evening host was great. Breakfast was very good and the waitress was great.

The inn is a perfect getaway spot for all your hiking, skiing and general relaxation needs. They offer variety of accommodation options, serve delicious breakfast(included with your stay) and even have a bar open on some evenings. It's also located in a walking distance from every great restaurant, shop and cafe in town. Also highly recommend this place of you want to experience that true Vermont vacation feel.

The property was very old and quaint. The owner was very accommodating and attentive and the staff was wonderful. We had a lovely stay.

The staff at this property went above and beyond to make sure all of the guests were taken care of. The area info was so helpful and the hospitality was impeccable. The bar at night was a huge plus and the breakfast in the morning was delicious!

Wonderful and friendly accommodating staff. Called to let them know I would be checking in really late and they forwarded instructions of how to gain entry and the location of my room which was #4. I’ve been staying in hotels for the last 2 months so this was a nice change of pace. Sorry to report that I was way too tired to get up for breakfast which ended at 9AM. Walked down the street and had an amazing breakfast at Maxi’s. Walked along the trail path that follows the river and and went by the train station where there was a really nice coffee shop with outstanding pastries. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wish I could have spent more time especially since there was a really nice fireplace in the great room of the house.

The staff was absolutely wonderful from the time of check-in to check-out. We had a wonderful time talking with TJ from the bar and the breakfast was fabulous as well as the service. Would definitely stay there again. The Old Stagecoach Inn brings you back into time.

This inn was wonderful, quaint, and we had a really great stay! Our breakfast was included and delicious! There was a menu for us to order from, as well as a small spread to pick from. The fire, games, and bar in the common area were fun to hang out. And definitely try their in-house baked cookies from the lobby cookie jar!

They have a lot of different rooms. The tiny room I booked (105) was too small to even have a chair in the room. I woke up and inadvertently kicked the small radiator then bumped my head on the low ceiling before getting the light on. It is that kind of tiny. The shower head in the shared bathroom is at chest height and is a rain spout style, so you have to scrunch down to get clean. I am 5’11”. Clean room, fresh breakfast, soft bed and good pillows.

This was our second stay at the Old Stagecoach Inn. Always, a great experience......an hotel with lots of history. It is in the centre of Waterbury and so close to restaurants, shops.....
