Charming, excellent staff and breakfasts!

Our second stay there because we love the Inn. Our host went above and beyond. We had an early morning event, so she graciously prepared a full and delicious breakfast for us earlier than usual. We couldn’t have asked for a better visit!

What a unique and wonderful experience! The continental breakfast is very ample and delicious. I had the goat cheese and blueberry quiche, and there are 5 outstanding complimentary breakfasts to choose from. Upon arrival, the dining area was decked out from a weekend Alice in Wonderland dinner. A beautiful and creative display. The staff was extremely accommodating. The bed was comfortable; the room a classy Victorian style. The Silver Fountain is an adventure!

I was greeted at the door by the owner,Kim, who was wonderful! I felt right at home. The inn is charming and beautiful! The breakfast was delicious and the dining room was beautifully set. I keep thinking of a reason to stay in Dover again so that I can stay at The Silver Fountain Inn again! Thank you Kim for a wonderful experience!

Liked the place a lot, super cute and comfortable. Awesome breakfast too! Rarely do you find a B&B at this price. I think years of staying at overpriced chain hotels just your average lazy buffet style breakfast

Just an overnight stay where I had to skip breakfast

This is a beautiful property with a great breakfast, a very pleasant proprietor with a great bed. It's also just a short drive from I-95 near the Maine/New Hampshire border and the perfect place to rest on a longer drive through New England.

This historic building seems period furnished (not an expert here) and was very well maintained. The operation is well organized. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast included a few selections for each element. The food was not all prepared to order but was of good quality. there was an fantastic breadth of teas from which to select but be warned that formal tea service (a quest of my spouse) is not available everyday.

Our stay was great. The lady was wonderful, we accidentally booked one of our rooms with a shared bathroom and she let us change to one with an on suite without any troubles. The breakfast was delicious. If we are ever up this way again we will stay again.

I loved the Mary Poppins theme! And the options for teas were amazing. I also loved that, when we came back to our room late in the evening after seeing a show in Boston, Frank Sinatra was playing in the parlor!

The Owners and staff were super nice. The High Tea was perfect and you could always have a tea at bed if you wanted. It was a perfect get away, relaxing, great Breakfast, made to order and even the ability to utilize some of the kitchen for a nice dinner.

This is a very unique place to stay and we could tell it is VERY well maintained. The whole place is so beautiful but as someone who works in hospitality, I took extra notice of how clean everything was, and little extras like the tea and coffee stations that are available all night. The yard is impeccable as well. However, the most impressive detail to me was all of the beautiful crown moulding, doorframes, etc. The owners very clearly put a lot of work and pride into what they do.

Tjis place has always been a great place to stay. They have fixed the WiFi coverage and the download speeds are great.

I was thrilled with the Inn. Easy check in with clear directions and comfortable surroundings. I loved my room. The bed was very comfortable and it had all the amenities I could ask for. Cleanliness is one thing I notice and my room and bathroom, as well as the hallways and dining areas met that expectation very well. Without a doubt, I would choose this Inn when traveling or just needing a getaway for a night or two.

We enjoyed our stay in this piece of history. Good breakfast and easy parking. We'll located for our needs.

As a boutique property, the Silver Fountain Inn was wonderful. I loved my room and all the Victorian touches as well as the water and wine options in the room. The dining room was beautifully set up with coffee and tea available throughout the day. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts Jim and Pam were cheerful and helpful. I would return if ever I happen to be in the area and would recommend it to others.

Cool place if you love authentic tea parties and antiques. The owners are wonderful. They made nice made to order full breakfasts. Room was well appointed, roomy and clean. We enjoyed our stay.

The Inn was lovely- we were curious about the Wizard of Oz theme, but then read that that is the celebration this month- very fun and whimsical!! Our hostess was lovely, and the breakfast was amazing!

We only have one night in Dover visiting our son. So glad we stayed at Silver Fountain Inn, beautiful place. The inn is located right in Dover, so close to everything in town. Parking lot is right in front of the inn. We were able to check in early. Our room was exactly as described on the site, gorgeous and comfortable. We had a good quiet night, slept in. Enjoyed our delicious breakfast downstairs. Just perfect! This will be our place to stay when we are back in Dover! Thank you Pam for your hospitality!

Loved this inn. Free tea and coffee for guests and a full breakfast every morning which is very unusual for most hotels.

I had been looking for an unusual place to stay for a few days while visiting my son and his family in Dover. He recommended the Silver Fountain Inn, based on a rave review by his sister-in-law, who stayed there some months ago. The owners were very warm and friendly, but not intrusive and made me feel very welcome. I stayed in the English Rose room on the third floor, which was very picturesque and had a nice view of surrounding properties and large trees from its two windows. The breakfasts were made to order and were delicious and filling. I made a big hit with my 3-year old granddaughter, whom I had never met until this trip, by giving her my blueberry muffin from breakfast! All in all, it was a great and much needed vacation. Thanks to all!
