Have stayed before and on both occasions I couldn’t fault our stay. Most enjoyable.

Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel. Excellent value. Perfect retreat.

On our trip to Portugal this was the best property, service and food we had. The beds were very comfortable, large rooms, an electronic bidet toilet (loved it). The breakfast buffet was also the best of all of the properties we stayed at during the trip. We had our dinner at the on property restaurant - we would strongly recommend! The weather was on the cool side, so we did not try the pool, but did enjoy the sunshine. There is a 1000 year old olive tree on the property. Staff were excellent and great services.

I loved the setting of this property and the history behind this hotel, you can feel it as one walks the halls and the grounds. The room was enormous and the bed and bathroom were amazing

Without a doubt an amazing hotel and convent with London luxury and beautiful Sites ! Great breakfast also . We are gold members on Expedia and all the extra amenities were granted . I would say I was however greatly let down that there was no guided tour on the days we were there , something we had looked forward to . Evora is a must see

Convento do Espinheiro Historic Hotel & Spa is truly an exceptional place to stay. The hotel is the main part of beautifully restored almost breath-taking complex. Rooms are well furnished, with comfortable beds, extensive storage and well equipped bathrooms. It is located in fully restored Convent, including a beautiful church and extensive grounds. The staff were efficient and effective and a pleasure to talk to. They were most helpful in regards to recommendations for visiting the area and willingness to provide detailed information on the history of the facility To celebrate my 82nd birthday, I reserved a suite and it proved to be a wonderful present. We occupied room 207, with 2 balconies, a large sitting area with a separate half bath, and nicely furnished private bedroom with a large bath off the bedroom. The furnishings and decorations are first class - simply magnificent. The Simmons king sized beds was supportive and comfortable. The spacious main bathroom included a walk in rainforest shower, separate bathtub, a selection of exclusive amenities and two complimentary bathrobes and slippers for absolute comfort.Everything worked just fine.

Excellent place to stay to visit Evora. The hotel in itself is so interesting and beautiful with a rich history. The outdoor pool provided a refreshing break from sightseeing. Must do….wine tasting and tour of the convento. Breakfast was delicious but a bit disappointed with our dinner at Olive restaurant as not up to a 5 star standard

Amazing place! Quiet and away from the main city in the country side, full of history with an amazing sommelier - Francisco! And Cristina at the front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful! A hidden gem:)

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Alentejo, with a lot of history. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful in every way. The attention to cleanliness was exceptional. I felt pampered and well taken care of and sad to leave.

Great property and spa. We had one of the more modern rooms. Really liked it. The only disappointment was the dinner which was just ok.

One of the best hotel we stayed at! Amazing, professional and helpful staff, from the reception to the bar, the room service and the breakfast: they made us feel like VIP. The room and the hotel itself were simply gorgeous. It’s definitely on our bucket list to come back there!

The convent is a destination in itself. Amazing history and religious art. Our rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. We would recommend this property.

This hotel is in a unique historic property worth a visit. The gardens and pool are nice. It also includes a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit.

Really lovely hotel. You will enjoy your stay. I might not eat at Olive... better choices in town. Easy to get a cab. Try to stay at least two nights. I think a perfect honeymoon location.

The property is set off by itself in a former convent a short drive from town. It is a top notch oasis and spa with excellent dining and amenities. Staff was wonderful.

The room we stayed in was well appointed and the staff that showed us the room was very friendly and helpful. The dinner was over priced and average, and in some parts poor, quality - 24euros for 8 small pieces of very poor quality tapas was very disappointing (and that is being generous). The hotel property and rooms are nice - the food is priced consistent with its 5 star hotel status but the quality is no better than a mid ranking hotel. Had hoped for much better - very disappointed and underwhelmed

Beautiful hotel - staff was friendly, hotel grounds are beautiful and plenty of amenities to take advantage of including pool, sauna and wine bar.

Beautifully kept property, comfortable rooms and the most amazing dinner at Divinus. Breakfast spread excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great pools, both outdoor and indoor. Best to stay the short 8 minute drive from city center, in this peaceful location
