Convenient location, great breakfast.

Althogh a bit dated, but excellent location with a great breakfast, very helpful staff

We have booked triple room and they gave us double room. When we mentioned it to them they said: this is not their problem? no one was helpful. i has to sleep on the floor? The hotel wasn't clean and the photos in Expedia don't match the reality conditions of hotel at all.

We booked this hotel for one night , It has a very convenient parking garage in the basement of the Hotel with access by lift to the reception. The Hotel was in a great location,the staff were friendly and helpful, The rooms are very clean, bright,spacious and nicely furnished,,quite and with super comfortable beds.In the morning breakfast is served in a lovely bright breakfas room looking into a garden. The breakfast is absolutely superb,with everything you can imagen on the buffy, tastebudds goes wild and diet goes down the drain.It equaled to any five star property and we were looked after by immaculate service..I would be hard pushed to find anything negative t say about this hotel,,,perhaps i would mention that the lobby aerea does'nt have the ambiance of a luxury hotel, but for the price you can hardly expect this...All the posetive aspects makes up for this by far ! ,This hotel was fantastic value for money,.. Highly recommend this hotel

Hotel appears to be no frills when you walk in, but the rooms are very nice and spacious, with comfortable furniture and plenty of hot water (a welcome change from my stay elsewhere that week). Reasonable prices for local wines and mini-bar items, and a nice TV. I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth and quality of the breakfast offering, really excellent.

This hotel provided a perfectly good stay for a work trip. The rooms are clean and the breakfast had a very selection. The gentleman on reception who greeted us was not very cheerful and didn't exactly go out of this way to help us with our queries!

The hotel is very close to the centre of Karlsruhe, within easy walking distance of Kaiserstrasse, the main shopping street. Transport links are good, and it's possible to walk to the train station in 30 minutes - a very nice walk, as long as one is travelling without much luggage. The check-in process was smooth and friendly, and the room was quite spacious. There were all the basic facilities one would expect, and I had no problems connecting to or using the WiFi. My room also had a balcony which I would imagine would be very nice during the summer, but as I stayed in October I didn't use it.

Very well situated in the city. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Something to remember in Karlsruhl is that some restaurants don't take credit cards or US dollars. The hotel lent us money to eat on!

Hotel was clean but the decor was very dated. It looked much better in the pictures. It was located in a side street near the town centre which was just a short walk away, which was convenient but the immediate area didn't seem particularly nice: full of graffiti and chicken joints. The breakfast area was clean and the food was quite good. I wouldn't recommend the hotel but at the same time, it wasn't terrible.

Excellent quality/price ratio. Best included breakfast of any hotel I've stayed at. Underground on-site parking at a reasonavle rate. Very helpful and courteous staff. Oh, did I mention the outstanding breakfast?

The Ambassador Hotel is fantastic. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Karlsruhe. The hotel does not look like much from the outside, but the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Rooms are not huge, but above average and more than adequate. The 24hr staff are always friendly, helpful, and multilingual. The morning breakfast buffet is surprisingly extensive and very nice quality. The hotel is located perfectly in the inner-west side of the city and is walking distance to the Marketplatz, Ludwigsplatz, and the countless shops, restaurants, and bars in the area.

After a long drive, we decided to stop at this hotel(random pick) for one night. We arrived around midnight, but checkin was quick and easy. The decor isnt that great but room was simple, clean and tidy, so was the bathroom which is comforting. They only had handsoap/bodywash, but we had our own shampoo, toothbrush etc. so it wasnt an issue. Definitely had a great nightsleep and woke up very refreshed. Te breakfast buffet was good, staff were friendly. Overall, a surprisingly pleasant stay.

I choose to stay at Ambassador Hotel this time since i stayed there almost a year ago. I find the rooms to be very clean, the staff very friendly and willing to help for any inquiries you might have. The hotel also provides free unlimited WiFi access whereas in other hotels you have to pay for limited time access. I'll be staying in Ambassador hotel whenever i visit Karlsruhe.

We were really disappointed with the hotel. The rating on Expedia showed 4 stars and on arrival we found out that it was only 3 stars. It is situated in a small side street along with night clubs. As we had a front room we found it very noisy, at 4am the music was still blaring. The room had a very musty smell and there was no chance of sleeping with the windows open because of the noise. We did however find the staff very friendly and the breakfast was good but would definitely try another hotel if we ever returned to Karlsruhe!!!

Clean Hotel, i had a Garden View out back, but the street at night has a few Nightclubs. Would Stay here again....very happy for the money. Parking is below the street, and is E10.00
