After a long drive we were looking forward to a good night sleep. Unfortunately this was not to be, the room was very cramped for 5, 2 adults and 3 teenage children, it was very hot and there was only a tower fan in the room which made no difference. Did not feel very safe as the pull out bed for my daughter blocked the door. Staff were very friendly but did not speak a lot of English. We also had to book and pay for parking where there was no indication of this on the confirmation or advertisement. If you do want to stay you have to pre-book the parking.

We've booked a room for 3 adults, but the room was too much small. Ther was no space for our baggage. Thanks gid was clean.

They charge 10 for parking, not 5, as claimed on Expedia. Also, the shower is super tiny, barely enough to turn around in.

Bon hotel

bathroom is so small but the rest is satisfying. A clean, good hotel.

Not comfortable
Only one fan for 4 persons

Connecting rooms were small, but after having read many reviews, was expecting it. Very clean. Very helpful staff. My son's bed was uncomfortable to him. He said mattress was hard and bed was small, but the rest of us were comfortable. Elevator is tiny. Said would fit 4, but more like 2 or 1 with luggage. Close to train station, but don't walk it. All uphill. Overall a pleasant stay

I’ve stayed in hotels all over Europe and the room at this facility was dreadful. The bathroom was so small, you hit your knees on a radiator just trying to get inside, then the sink was in another room. Unless you’re a hobbit, don’t stay here.

Dated and basic. Easy parking. 20 minute walk to chateau and town centre. Good for the price.

We stayed here two nights while visiting D-Day Beaches. We had to pay extra to reserve a parking spot in their private off-street lot. We opted to find our own breakfast in a nearby cafe, which the reception was not too happy about. There is a great bar on the corner down the street, where we drank wine and talked lengthily with locals. Dining was about a half mile away on the river, where there are many restaurants to chose from.

We stayed here before getting the ferry back to the UK and thought it was excellent, resonably priced with friendly and helpful staff and nice clean rooms. absolutely no complaints and would happily stay here again,

We needed an overnight stay before an early ferry and were very happy with the Savoy. It is not flash, but clean, comfortable and good value. The staff were very helpful. Great room for us and our three children.

Ideal stop over, short walk/drive to caèn centre. Off road parking in short supply recommend you pre book parking space. Friendly staff.

The staff was nice enough. Parking was actually available in a private lot in the back. Very convenient and appreciated. Overall, you get what you paid for with this hotel and the price and accommodations were reasonable. We were here to sightsee and not the room.

Wanted a conveniently located hotel with a clean room comfy bed for one night after we landed in Caen and this is exactly what we got.

all fine except room a bit small

Very friendly and pleasant place to stay, although the immediate location isn't spectacular.
They have the local French daily newspaper available at breakfast - a nice touch. The croissants are good as is the coffee.
Think twice if you are large of girth as the lift is tiny! But apart from that we had no complaints. The hotel offers great value for money.
The walk into the centre of Caen is about 20 minutes but that would be a quick taxi ride if you are lazy.

Perfect for families. Nice and approachable staff.
As a family of 5 the rooms were the right size and we could access the room where we the kids were staying through an inside door what brought us some inner peace. The rooms were tidy and clean. As a part of a family I couldn't ask for more. Great experience.

Spacious room for family for an affordable price. Enjoyed the French breakfast with delicious French bread, juice, and cereal.
Friendly staff that helped out with directions

The hotel as a whole was ok. The only issue was for a booking for 2 people they only had one towel to use, and no A/C available.

booked this hotel in the middle of the night to replace a disappointing hotel so our expectations were minimal given the last minute nature but were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. As soon as we got out of our car, we were greeted by Saif, the cutest, friendliest guard dog by the back door on his patio. He made no attempt to near us but immediately wagged his tail when we spoke to him. After playing with him & rubbing his tummy, we went inside only to be greeted again by John the owner. He was extremely helpful, spoke excellent English and quickly accommodated our request for a smoking room despite having us down as non-smoking. The smoking room he had available was outfitted as a single room (ie:pillows, towels etc) but corrected these issues before we got our luggage into the room. It was an older hotel, the decor, bedding etc were updated & bright. The room was small for Canadian standards but typical for Europe. Despite being a smoking room, you would never know it! It was fresh & spotless with no odour. The luscious duvet & quality of the towels were incredible. stayed for 2 nights, food was good & reasonably priced. Wifi adequate & tv incl. a few English stations. John was always helpful with directions etc & willing to address any concerns, we had none. reserved parking was always there when we returned & There were no surprises at check out. Would definitely stay here again!

We pulled up at 10pmish to the hotel in a pretty "iffy" neighborhood with everything from crying kids in windows directly across the street and some guys fixing a car....10PM! That pretty much set the tone and sure enough the hotel was less than desirable to say the least. Dark hallways, narrow walls, etc and the room was no bigger than an average size master bathroom. A double bed hardly fit and the "sofa" pull out was strangely arranged in the corner with sheets jammed between the floor and wall no way I was letting my kids put their faces to these sheets. There was no way to get any sheets or extra blankets and the desk guy knew two words in English. We had to go get something to eat, and he did manage to let us know that if we came back after midnight we wouldn't be able to get in as he leaves and locks it all down at midnight. During our meal couple miles away I looked up a different hotel on the other side of town called Adagio and we no joke came back to this one got our stuff and left. Yes, it was $110 down the drain but I just did not see us sleeping here in any way.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 night and it was a very pleasing stay. Parking in the back, breakfast at the hotel for 8 E normal European breakfast. Rooms a nice. Staff is very willing to be a help.

The hotel is not luxurious and is a good 20 minute walk from the town centre - but that's why it is cheaper than some of the others! The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. The room was basic but clean and comfortable and breakfast was fine. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening so can't comment on that. If you're looking for a hotel which is a base for looking round and don't mind a short walk or a bus ride into town then there's nothing to complain about. If you like to spend an appreciable amount of your waking time in your hotel room, or to be at the heart of city life, go elsewhere and pay more.

We were only there for one night but we had no problem with this hotel. It was a reasonable walk from the train station, the staff were helpful and friendly and the room was very comfortable and clean.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was basic enough but had all the modern convinences. Breakfast is included and is great. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you directly to the main tain and bus station which is also within walking distance. A transfer ticket is only €1.25 and lasts up a hour.

the hotel location was right on a busy main road,,traffic could be heard all night,,,,,
room too warm to shut the window or shutter'''
chambermaid would insist on cleaning the room early while we were still in there,,,,,

We stayed for 5 nights while golfing in the surrounding areas. Staff were very friendly and spoke good english. Rooms were small but adequate. Bathrooms were modern and very clean. Private parking was available. Location was a little out of the way but the chateau was only a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Overall we were satisfied with our stay and would consider the hotel for a future stay.

Further away from the train station than the map leads your to believe, and very little to eat or do within walking distance. The room was dated adn there were several cigarette burns on our blanket, but the staff was very nice and helpful.

Clean and friendly staff-very courteous. But rooms not sound proof could hear people walking around there rooms. I was situated on the 2nd floor, some nights I did not sleep stright away.
