Great property

The property was great considering I wasn’t prepared to stay in Brownsville, however I was able to get a room on really short notice.

I rarely write hotel reviews because most hotels are great and comfortable. There were several issues at this Staybridge that need to be addressed. (1) I arrived at the hotel at 6:02pm but no one came to the check-in desk until 6:15pm. There was no way to ring a bell to let anyone know that I was there. (2) Both elevators in the hotel were not working. My room was on the 3rd floor, so I asked for a room on a lower floor so I didn't have to carry up a suitcase to the 3rd floor. They would not make a room change, and I had to carry a suitcase up the stairs. (3) In the room, 1 of the televisions did not work at all. (4) The charging outlets between the beds had no power running to them. I had to charge my phone in the other room. (5) The elevators STILL were not working at 8:00am. I had to carry my suitcase back down the stairs. I understand 1 elevator not working but both? This is very inconvenient plus a huge issue related to accessibility. The hotel should have had this fixed asap. (6) As I showered in the morning, I looked up to see a cockroach climbing around the ceiling fan. It was really the icing on a very bad visit to this hotel.

The water system was not in proper working condition. Dirty, muddy, and solids floating water. Left within 15 minutes of checking in

WE WERE SATISFIED. MOTEL WAS CLEAN, AND ALL THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY. I AM A VIETNAM MARINE VETERAN AND WAS EXPECTING TO GET A BETTER PRICE THEN WHAT I PAID.

Their website claims free shuttle to and from airport. They have no shuttle. There was no hot water. The bathroom light didn’t work. I would not recommend this place ever!!!!!

They were clean, friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

There was trash in the refrigerator and the bathroom unclean. I told the managers on duty but no fix nor refund!

The only issue I had with the room was the sink’s faucet had no hot water and the faucet almost had no water coming out; otherwise it was nice!

Excellent Experience

The hotel room was clean, but the a/c is very loud and being a lite sleeper that was an issue.

The overall stay was good. Unfortunately we had issues with a non working microwave on the first night of our 8 day stay. We notified the front desk and was told it would be looked out while we were out. After being out all day and coming back it still wasn’t working. It was never attended to. We also took bath showers due to bad draining in the bathroom.

I was suppose to have a King bed my entire stay and that didn't happen i paid for a king suite and didn't get that instead i got a queen suite that was handicap accessible not happy at all with my booking through Hotels.com cus you said you verified that i was getting a king suite

I had an emergency and had to book a stay here and Omg Rigo not sure if spelled correctly was so helpful. Went beyond my expectations for customer service 30/10. The room was super clean, the bed was plush and had all of the amenities they mentioned on the booking EXCEPT airport shuttle which was the main reason i booked there. Had to spend an additional $50 to reserve a Uber for the following morning n WASNT offered any type of discount or anything. The overnight guy was a lil grouchy but i only encountered him during check out. If n the area i would stay again

Was somewhat surprised that the only stairways were on each end of the building. A center stairway for quick egress is the one item I would have insisted on in building planning. Sorry, I'm a building inspector and would not have approved the design for that one reason.

I only choosed this hotel, for one night because I have an early flight, and they offer free airport shuttle, I even call the front desk in advance to ask , when I arrived they told they start with the shuttle service at 8:00 am…. I try to cancel, I explain that was my reason I booked with them but they just didn’t let me, the hotel is ok but pay $200 dlls , for nothing, and pay for the airport taxi as well…. Expensive mistake to believe what they offer … the manager didnt even want to speak with me, the guy in the front desk try to help me, looking for a taxi service …. very frustrating experience.

Their ice machine was broken. Breakfast started at 730, it could have started ar 700

We were in town for a funeral and on the first day they didn't have hot water. I understand that things happen but the staff could at least pretend to seem concerned. Apparently, it is common for these events to happen here. Other long term guests that stay here because of a government contract told me that it is very common to have the key card deactivate. We will not be booking future stays here. I do not recommend this hotel.

Great place for longer stays with the convenience of a full kitchen.

The front desk staff were very friendly, they made me feel welcome on my stay.

I found out a few days before arriving that the airport shuttle was not available due to staffing

Always stay in this property when I'm in Brownsville. My check-in left a lot to be desired. Door card reader did not work. No maintenance folks on site. Front desk clerk somehow believed she could not give me another room. It took an hour before I could get into my room.

Verry good hotel

Request a change of room due to the alarming amount of mold on furniture and wall. I was told yes there was a room available then told no. I requested a refund as I hadn't moved into room and was denied any further assistance. I calmly request to speak to the desk manager and she was on phone to front desk rep without any resolve. Desk Manager refused to address me.

We drove 12 hours and checked in at 1AM. The room next to us had the TV on and we could hear it through the walls and could not sleep. I called the front desk twice and they said they would take care of it. By 3AM it was still loud and I had to go to the front desk myself and they said they already told the room and not much else they can do except move us to another room. We already unpacked and we had to pack up and go to another room with a broken thermostat and a full size bed compared to the queen we came from. At this point we were both too tired to deal with it. The showers also had rust and the building is very old. Stay away….if they had a good price, you get what you pay for.

We had a great stay. We had a few complaints. The dog that barked allll night. And the ants in our kitchen. We complained about the ants and the ladies at the front desk acted on it real quick. Other than that we lived our room.
