The room was nice and being upgraded to a suite was lovely.Breakfast was really good.The only downfall to this hotel was the garbage bins at the back of the hotel were overflowing, there was garbage all over the place that looks like it hadn't been cleaned up in weeks!!Also,there were coffee cups, etc in the main parking areas.

The location for the purpose of being close to the Algonquin Park is perfect. The hotel and the rooms are ok, and clean. The breakfast is also fair with limited choices.
However, the toilet in our room wasn't draining and it was not a good experience at all!

Check in was quick and easy, and we also requested late checkout with no issues. Staff were very friendly and kind. Our room could have used some TLC, as things were a bit dated, and there was mold/mildew stains in the shower. A bear was also creating quite the mess in the parking lot with the dumpster— although not the hotels fault. Overall would likely stay here again if they gave the showers a good bleach.

The room was dated and dirty. The toilet seat was yellow, mold on the tile in the bathroom. Bedspreads were worn. Very disappointing since I have stayed at other Holiday Inns that were fabulous.

Very hospitable staff that were helpful with every request or inquiry. My group of 16 people were able to comfortably stay in their 3 queen suites that had 2 Qn beds and 1 sofabed. While the sofabeds would be better with foam instead if spring mattress, the pool not being available on the 1st day due to maintenace work, and the toilet seats and lid having some chemical burn marks, everything else was great at this hotel. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious and the staff kept busy with keeping everything tidy. Convenient location with walmart, dollar store, restaurants across the street. Nice quiet location in the heart of Huntsville.

Although staff is very friendly, the check in left a lot to be desired. It took us about an hour because the keys wouldn't work - 3 x. They finally came up and when we got in the room, the floor was soaked. We requested to move to a new room and the keys didn't work there either. There was a problem with the key system that they required someone to come and fix. It happens, it was just unfortunate because it took so long just to get into a room.
The breakfast was well done and good. The bed is comfortable and the room clean enough - some long term stains there that could use replacing (couch).
Main issue is that we paid on Expedia and then upon leaving they charged us again. We thought it was a deposit that we would get back later but no, it was a charge for the room. We didn't revel in the check in and now the check out is an issue. Most likely won't stay here again.

Check in person thought he was funny but was best to reserve his humour. Check out person a wee bit Kurt. Pool was dirty with globs of hair and??? Breakfast was good. Did the trick but might consider a local alternative next time.

While the building as a whole was nice, the outside seemed a bit dated. The lobby was constantly noisy when one may want some quiteness.
The worst thing was the check in process. It took nearly 2 hours of sitting/standing in the lobby. we arrived before, maybe 10 minuets, check in time and we were told that the room wasn't ready and wouldn't be ready for about an hour. So we left to drive around town for a bit and when we came back, it was worse then before. It took about another 30-60 min before we finally got into our room.
The lady at the desk said to come back to her in the morning but never said what for nor did she talk anymore about it? So what was she gonna do...refund our stay...doubtful.

Highly overrated. The bathtub was partially clogged, and despite repeatedly informing the front desk, they consistently claimed they were too busy to address it. The sink was cracked, and there was no Wi-Fi for two days. Considering the price, I expected much better service.
