nice staff, very good food , very clean room every day

The room was large, very comfortable, excellent A/C, with a nice refrigerator. Cleanliness was above average, and the windows provided beautiful views of the cityscape. Unfortunately, staff responsiveness was, on occasion, less than adequate. First they insisted that I had to pay for an extra person in the room, even though I had already reserved the lodging for two people. Then, after reporting the inconsistent and very slow WiFi signal, they were unable to fix it and even suggested that I was annoying them. In the end, I had to purchase a modem from a local ISP because the WiFi was completely inadequate.

I like the hotel got everything that you need to be comfortable , Flat screen TV with cable , Wifi , computers available if you need it , is very clean the room are big, personal well training , the housekeeping is very efficient , location wise is close to the airport about 20 minute trip , close to Downtown about 15 minutes in a taxi cab, close to Miraflores close to shopping center and restaurants . overall I like it and I would recommended to anybody.

this was supposed to be an airport hotel, it turned out to be about 45 minutes from the airport and was definitely not worth the drive. hotel was old and tired and had no attempts to make it comfortable. an absence of any personal touches and the location was traffic noisy.

Very clean, bathroom could use an upgrade, not a great neighborhood

The hotel is located in a central area close to bussines/turistic places like Miraflores and San Isidro, is a good option for bussiness trips. Rooms facing Arenales Avenue are a little noisy because the avenue is a high trafic area

Good clean confort and safe

Great experience. The staff were very helpful and the room was good value, with an ensuite and full bathroom. It was a bit 80's in style tine room but the actual hotel has a nice wooden interior. There is a casino outside which was noisy but muffled by the ac. Check out the water park and Chinese restaurant nearby for cheap entertainment .

Quiet room with great beds. It had the best breakfast we had during our movement around Peru.

It is usually fine but this time I notice it did not have radio clock and shower curtain allowed the water to get out of the tub. The lights on the bathrooms should be a bright white and this hotel failed to pass the xam on the lights. As the matter of fact that is a problem in most of the hotels in Peru. This is of course in hotel which rates oscilates between forty and ninety dollars. Even though the rates are not too high for tourist they all should make improvements when surveys like this are requested.

Hotel is situated far from the city center. The room is clean, you might have a sofa, which is not too comfortable. Breakfast buffet is really great, WiFi is good. The quality of the staff is absolutely unacceptable: As the Carrera (that's the name of the hotel - Thunderbird is just the group) seems to have 4 stars one would expect the staff to speak English. This is NOT the fact. We were supposed to get a breakfast package, this was not possible. Instead we were told to get some breakfast in the hotel. So far so good. Arriving there in the morning we asked the waiter for the breakfast. "Yes, yes." Okay. 15 min later nothing had happened. He was still reading newspapers. It took further 10 min till, by good luck, another member of the staff came by who understood the word "breakfast". Another 10 min later the waiter brougt some broken toast (more than 3 slices for 2 persons were not provided) and marmelade. The evening before we were told we were getting some rolls, bread, cheese and so on by the reception staff. The day before we already had problems trying to talk to the reception staff, because they said they were speaking English but didn't understand a word. One out of 4 or 5 different people at the reception (there always was only one person at a time) was able to speak English. This one was not able to transmit the breakfast-package-information to the other staff. For a four star hotel this seems not to be acceptable.

We liked many things about the hotel. First of all, if you like to explore a place on foot, this is an ideal starting point to visit downtown Lima. A major street- Arequipa Av leads all the way downtown (it takes approximately an hour on foot but you can hop on a bus for 1 solas anytime). Miraflores can be reached similarly in the other direction. The hotel is beautiful and very well kept. we got lucky and got the suite instead of a standard room but even without this special treatment - staff is very friendly, hotel is clean and well kept, breakfast is perfectly sufficient. We would go back anytime. I booked the hotel because of assumed vicinity to airport, however, it takes almost 30min to get to the airport by cab, so that was a bit misleading.

The hotel it's self was fine. It was the attitude of some of the employment that had me a litte upset. Overall the staff was fine but there were one or two apples that spoiled that batch. The front desk were rude when I would have to leave. One cause when i would leave I didn't know i had to leave the key with them. So the lady at the front desk acted like i did a major offense. When all it was, was a simple mistake. The second was my girlfriend lives in Lima so she would come in the morning to wake me up and the staff would see her everyday with me. Well one day she forgot her ID and they would not allow her up to see me. They wouldn't take anything else of her's. I understand why they did it but they were not really acting like the feelings of their customers mattered. It was also how they dealt with the situations too and tone.

the lobby of the hotel is very nice, though the room does not stand up to the appearance of the lobby. my room smells a bit musty and it is cold (it is their winter time) could be warmer in the room. on the description of this hotel it states `connected to airport` and it is certainly not. i booked this hotel because i thought it would be connected to the airport because my flight arrived at night. to my surprise it was not and it was a 40 dollar cab ride to this hotel and the location of this hotel does not appear to be in a good neighborhood. although, im not satisfied with the location of the hotel and my room, the staff is friendly and the room is clean, though the lighting in the room is the best and it smells a bit musty, but tolerable. i would recommend a hotel in a more commercialized area where there would be more tourist.
