Clean rooms, friendly front desk staff, regular check-in to make sure things were ok. Proximity to both NJ and NY tourist spots. Clean kitchen with useful utensils. Easy and ample parking.

I really like the little market inside the hotel, especially since we had no car. It really helped traveling with 2 teenage boys who eat all the time quick morning options, or late night snacks was a huge plus. Beds were super comfy and we slept great all 5 nights. Only downside is that it’s kind of out of the way from everything we did so we spent a lot on Uber rides. But overall we really enjoyed our stay had what we needed.

It was close to main streets and highways

Customer service at front desk was awful! I arrived early to the hotel tel after a six hour drive and was told by both clerks that I could not have a room until 2 PM and that I could not come into the hotel unless I paid an additional fee. The room was booked. The traffic was good and I arrived, exhausted and needing the room it’s the first time I’ve been told that I have to pay additional money and I decided I’d rather sleep in my car and not be in the hotel at all I would never come back. This is not the way a hotel encourages people to use it again and again and again.

The Candlewood suites was easy to find and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff member that check us in in the evening was a very nice young man who deserves a lot of credit for his fantastic customer service and efficiency. He explained all our benefits that came with the hotel, showed us where to find the each of the amenities and our room. The hallways were a little dirty but there is a lot of people who go through there throughout the day, so the staff may not always be aware of trash in the hallways. The other gentleman that works at the front desk was not as efficient as the young man. We came down to get a water from the snack area they had and when asking him to bill it to our room, it took him over 10 minutes to bill it to our rooms and get us on our way. Had to repeat that we wanted to just charge the water to our room and repeat our room number several times. He was slow on the computer, but that was a very minor inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location for access to Manhattan and Meadowlands via train. Dining and entertainment options within 15 mins drive or train.

When you search for the hotel in the internet tells you that everything is relatively close and when you arrive at your stay it the opposite. The is no transportation service to surrounding areas, there is no good near the proper perimeter. It is completely lonely for a hotel, its location has zero accessibility. Not recommended for tourist without cars.

We had an excellent stay. Easy UBER ride to the train station. Super friendly staff. The room was big with lots of seating so you were not stuck sitting on the bed when in the room. The kitchen was very convenient. They offer a lot of bonus features you don’t see at other hotels. They were helpful with any questions we had as this was our first time travelling to NYC. We will be back and will recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thanks to the staff at Candlewood Suites 🤗

Great place, about 10 minutes uber to the metro station to go to Manhattan.

Life can be a bit stressful at times and I really needed a quiet place to relax. Candlewood Suites Secaucus was PERFECT! The room was beautiful, very clean and a nice size. The studio suite had a large L-shaped desk that worked very well for working and for meals. There is a kitchenette that would be very useful for extended stays. Even though I didn't really need it, it was also very clean and stocked with some cooking items. The bed was superbly comfortable and the pillows were heavenly. It's been a long time since I've fallen asleep so quickly. This hotel is also convenient to Manhattan. It was a five minute Uber ride to the NJ Transit train station and a 13 minute ride to Penn station. Finally, and most importantly, the staff was fantastic. Excellent customer service! Richard greeted me at check-in. He was very friendly and had a good sense of humor. Upon check-out, I was greeted by Felicita. Her nickname should be Sunshine because her lovely personality brightened the lobby. The next time I need a break, it's a no-brainer as to where I will be staying.

Amazing great services

I take a lot of work trips and this location is close enough to the city. Unfortunately, this hotel had a number of problems with it, beginning with the smell of the entire place. Secondly the room had several issues including the fact that the AC was literally falling apart and there were stains on the bed. Normally I’m not high maintenance at all but I ended up checking out early because I was highly uncomfortable

This hotel are really good place to stay for long time, it is very clean, convenient kitchen, and the price is reasonable. I will choose this hotel for my next visit to Secaucus.
