Nice location. Everything was clean. Sadly the noise at night, coming from the bar,was not comfortable.

I love this place the ambiance is great the bar being right at the lifts is probably why you always meet people. schliersee is just a great place excursions to the rest of bavaria and down to salzburg available the food and drink in the hotel and surrounding area is excellent. the weather in late sept early oct is usually good. this is not the cheapest of hotels in the area but it has a nice feel to it pool is fab parking free

It was a nice hotel, clean rooms and nice breakfast. The internet was not existing from 18-22 but otherwise it was ok. We wanted to check in at 20 in the evening and since the internet wasn’t working for the desk either we got free drinks in the bar. When we got to check in, we got a 2 person room for 3 persons but got upgraded to a 3 person room during the evening, because they had made a mistake in the rooms. All in all a nice stay and good service.

Stopped here between it was Alpenclub. Would recommend to anyone who wants a base for an activity holiday or even just a quiet getaway. Awesome place. Lovely staff.

We paid extra for a Superior room, but the room was so smoky, that the smell was on our clothes some 5 days after leaving the hotel. Constantly had to ask for toiletries, and for the room to be vacuumed. Cleaners took our refundable water bottles which we were storing up to get refund at supermarket. Bathroom tile grout was black around shower, not nice. Bed linen and towels, not fresh, seemed a little worn out. Overall the Superior room could do with a makeover. Got ripped off by the taxi the hotel provided to take us to Tengensee bus station, 15km charged €50 !! Spoke to local cream coloured taxis at the bus station they said max €30, still awaiting refund from hotel. The hotel deny any connection with the taxi company, but he presented some local trips on the welcome evening, was seen drinking/eating with management, and eating the guest buffet provided when we came to collect us, so well know to the hotel, and yet they overcharge their guest, very disappointed, I thought the hotel should look after their guests?

Excellent location with amazing staffing. Everyone goes above and beyond to help you in every way. The people make the difference!

Employees were excellent. The property manager Dimitry and reservation manager Peia took a group to the Oktoberfest and back on the train. Great hosts the whole time!

the hotel was the most expensive on our holiday. but it was also the most disappointing. the hotel is in need of a refurbishment. the wifi is poor at best, and often non existent. we waited for 25 minutes in the restaurant to order a drink, which when ordered never arrived. the waitress in duty that evening was over worked covering the drinks and dinner service. for some strange reason the bar seems to close when the restaurant opens! this makes no sense to me! location-wise its out of the town and remote unless you have a car to drive into town. I felt over charged, even though we used our free night with hotels.com to pay for some of the charge!

This place has everything, for everyone - oh and its right next to the Alps which is nice!!!

This hotel is OK. It is no earthly paradise (as some other reviewers seem to think), but it is (typically German) clean, comfortable and in a reasonable (but not A1) location in this beautiful but quiet area. Nothing wrong with it at all, but after my stay I did wonder about some of the really gushing reviews.

This is a nice hotel and obviously favored by Europeans with money. The price was very reasonable. What it is NOT is tucked on a mountainside in the Alps as their pictures and website would have you believe. That aside, the staff was outstanding and the food reasonably priced. Very convenient to downtown and to the beautiful lakefront.

We cannot praise this hotel enough, after a fantastic stay. The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from the railway station, so although we had a hire car, we could easily have managed without. There are beautiful views, a lake to walk or cycle around and even a cable car to take visitors up into the mountains. We had one of the apartments, which suited our needs very well. The rooms were spotlessly clean and we had everything that we required. The hotel has a beautiful spa and pool - just the place to relax at the end of a long day sightseeing. We also made good use of the games room, which included two bowling lanes. Food is excellent and good value, whilst the bar is staffed by one of the friendliest and most helpful bartenders we have ever encountered. He mixes a mean Margarita too! Whilst the setting is wonderful, the hotel comfortable and well-equipped, the thing that makes this place really stand out is the quality of care that we received from the staff. Everyone made us feel very welcome and little touches, such as the delivery of the daily 'Morning Post' with information about what was happening, the weather forecast and the cocktail of the day helped us to plan our stay. The Receptionists are the best we have ever encountered; they all spoke excellent English and genuinely seemed to care about our needs. We were very sad indeed to leave and our only wish is that we could have had longer at this very special hotel. We will be rebooking again soon!

we really enjoyed staying at Alpenclub. Great service, very friendly staff. We stayed at 2 other hotels during our germany/austria trip. Alpenclub ws by far the best place. Large and clean rooms. Food was good, but not exceptional. However prices was OK. The kids loved all the things to do, i e the ppol, bowling, table tennis etc. Great place for spendig 2-4 days.

what a wonderful time I had at the Alpenclub. the service and convenience of the hotel was fantastic. I enjoyed the beautiful mountain setting as well as the quality of the room. I would definitely stay there again!

Me and my Girlfriend stayed here this month for a short weekend break. Our room was spotlessly clean, could not fault it at all, very large room with seating area, was very nice. Only bad thing about the room was the pillows but i'm sure you can sort that out. Only other dissapointing thing was the choice of food/late night snacks etc which stop quite early so stock up. Overall i was very impressed with the room, service and pool facilities and its in a great spot, very close to town. Well Recommended.

Situated in a picturesque Alpine village, this resort was a perfect base for our day trips to Munich, Salzburg, Hohenschwangau, as well as exploring the local area. Our two bedroom apartment was attractive and comfortable with a large balcony overlooking the lush green valley and foothills. The nearby lake was the perfect setting to watch the sun set and relax after a busy day. Breakfast was also very well supplied with a large selection of the usual fare, including an excellent quality of meats, cheeses and fresh breads. I highly recommend this resort if you don't mind driving through beautiful country settings and quaint Bavarian villages.

I enjoyed the hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. It was in a great spot with many restuarants locally. Schliersee was a nice if touristy town. I would certainly go back again even though the mattresses were firm

This was our third visit to the Alpen club. We stayed in a bungalow which had 2 balconies and was huge. The grounds and Hotel are well maintained and the surrounding area is breathtaking with some great walks round the lake. Dimitri the manager is very helpful and so are the staff.
